  • "Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by 2 people who also took us to our table and made us feel welcome and special. The waiter was attentive and gave great suggestions for what to order. The food was good and we both had steak that was tender and moist with great flavor. I would recommend the restaurant for a special occasion due to it's romantic and cozy atmosphere. We didn't feel we were sitting in other diners laps.. Mahalo for a wonderful dinner on our last night in Hawaii."

  • "This was the first time we dined at a Morton's Steakhouse. I'm sorry we waited so long. It was beyond our expectations. I booked a table and mentioned that we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, the table was brilliantly set with a personal note and romantic decorations. (Nothing gaudy, just nice tabletop items). There was a customized/personalized menu as well. They even took a portrait picture of us and presented it at the end of the evening with a nice note. The service was beyond excellent. Our server was Todd (who is normally the boardroom captain). Todd made the evening. Funny, engaging, and he genuinely cared."

  • "I've been to Morton's once before and had a really good experience. So I was quite disappointed that my second visit didn't go as well as the first. Service was a bit slow. My beer glass was empty for ten minutes before I was offered another one. It may be nitpicking, but at prices you pay at Morton's, I expect to be offered another beer before my glass is empty or shortly thereafter. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came out medium. I know i could have sent it back, but it's seems strange to me that a restaurant known for steak, shouldn't overcook steak."

It took them longer to try and figure it out (with no success) than it took for us to eat our dinner even with the entire management staff trying to figure it out. Overall very disappointed with the management staff. Although, our server was wonderful."

The lobster bisque was spot on as well as our Filet Mignon's and bacon-wrapped scallops and crab cakes. The side dishes were big enough that we could share the portions between the two of us. The desserts were delicious as well!"

  • "Our bill was $264,14. After using a $150 gift certificate, the balance was $94.14. Instead of handing me the bill, the waiter felt the need to tell me what the amount was before the gift certificate was deducted. It was apparent he was concerned about his tip. Most savy restaurant goers look at both receipts and tip accordingly. I tipped $45.00, and never received a thank you from the waiter after the check was processed."

  • "I decided to try Mortons again for a special occassion. The service was wonderful but again, the food failed. The filets we ordered had to be sent back because they were cold. Not a good thing for a prime steak house to have happen. This has happened before to me and it just seems they cannot get it together, They printed menus with my name on it as it was my birthday, and I found that to be great. Valet service was excellent. But...food needs to be better. I cannot for the life of me figure out what they have to do to make it better. Even the salad was limpy and not that great!"

  • "This is the second Morton's I have visited- the first in San Antonio, Texas was one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! The Honolulu location delivered the exact opposite. The service was EXYREMELY SLOW throughout the entire meal; specifically, as we starred at plates that needed to be picked-up, we waited 20-25 minutes per coarse for our server to actually serve us. Our server was so negligent, we had to ask for our beverages, we only got half our appetizers, the entrees were cold to luke-warm and she never asked us if we needed anything! Despite the shear number of employees present, beyond filling our water glasses, no one seemed to notice the lack of attentiveness throughout the two and a half hours we were there."

This is sad since it once represented a special venue where the high cost of dining was rewarded by a very memorable experience. Gone is Sinatra and friends croning their melodies that set an elegant tone for the room; gone are salads that were sumptuous; gone are steaks that don't require a return visit to the grill to get it right; gone is the after dinner cart of complementary liqueurs (although it can be seen it never arrives at our table and many others); and sadly, gone are some very loyal customers."

  • "I have been to many Steak Houses around the mainland and always trying to gauge it to one of my favorite places to dine called Mastro's Steakhouse. Well we decided to try this place being a known franchise. Well I ordered the 22 oz Chicago Style Bone in ribeye. I am accustomed on receiving my steak on a hot sizzling platter. Instead I got my steak on a cold plate drenched in its juices all over the plate. The steak was warm and was really disappointed especially when you look forward to quality. The service was excellent. Inside is typical steak house ambience."

Dessert: hot chocolate cake. Very similar to the one ruby Tuesdays has which I think is better than the one we had here. Our server was sweet and knowledgable. Wish I remembered her name! Overall experience great. Would definitely come back again. Maybe try something new."

  • "My husband and I dined here for Valentine's Day. It was such a great experience! We arrived earlier than our 0800 reservation time and were seatwd immediately. The waiter was great and very attentive. The food was cooked perfectly! We bith got the steak and lobster deal. I opted for the filet mignon and my husband got the cajan steak. The lobster was the best I have had. The steaks were both cooked perfectly. We will definately be retuning to this restaurant."

  • "While vacationing in Waikiki my wife and I split a wedge salad and bone-in rib steak with sides of mushrooms and garlic mashed potatoes for our Valentine's Day outing. All were excellent. The meal included one of our favorite red wines from Orin Swift "The Prisoner" 2010. What a great wine!!!. The meal was capped with their lemon souffle, which never disappoints. The location of our seating was not the best, but the meal and service were commendable."

  • "The definition for "fine dining" has changed a bit over the years. It used to be great food, great service, roomy and quiet. Morton's is 2 out of 4, but don't let that stop you from going. The food and service is among the best in Honolulu. Like most restaurants today, they put in as many tables as they can to counter the high cost of business. Morton's doesn't seem real crowded, but it can be real noisy. When the lady sitting across from me couldn't hear what I was saying, it's too noisy. I'd also like to see a bit of a dress code. It seems they will seat people in just about any attire except shorts. Still - it's worth every cent for the service and food."
