We lost a favourite jazz resturantWe lost a favourite jazz resturant in our hometown. Going to Modavie brought back good memories of it. We loved the atmosphere.12/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed the restaurantWe enjoyed the restaurant tremedously, the food was great, I had the Mussels and my wife had the Lamb which was cooked perfect, very tender and was delicious, and our two guests enjoyed their meal as well, they were from New York and they also enjoyed the ambiance. Lorenzo was great as well, funny and witty. Definitely would recommend and come back as well.
Thank you again.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMnice atmosphereOverall food was quite good and the braised short ribs were delicious. Jazz singer provided just the right note to a pleasant evening out.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our evening...We went to Modavie for a birthday party. Our table was on the second floor where the live band is. The music was good and entertaining. The service was great. Our waitress was there whenever we needed anything. The food however was good... not more. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. The meat of the steak frites platter was a minute-steak not a rib steak or filet mignon... and the goat cheese filo was lacking a bit more cheesy taste.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOoo la laI live in New York and have eaten in some of the finest restaurants . . . Modavie was a neighborhood gem. The find jazz music and excellent food set the stage for a wonderful dining experience. I would recommend you try it the next time you are in Montreal.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
