For us it is a special occasion restaurant where it is almost impossible to spend less than $100 per couple. However;it is worth every penny. The patio overlooks the ocean and they have a great happy hour.

We are still at the bar waiting. If nothing else this location is known for its views. The food is good and the chef is well known. But a great table is a big part of the experience. That's why we made our reservation at the time we did! Every once in a while you find a restaurant that is firing of all cylinders, Merriman’s is one of them. From beginning to end the food was extraordinary. A complementary plate consisting of a plank skewered with miniature tomatoes, cucumbers and watermelon radishes was fresh and flavorful. The Manhattan was one of the best, if not the best, I ever had. The starters were a combination of Ahi sashimi and Ahi poke and roast pig quesadillas. We opted to split a beet salad with Burrata cheese. The bread delivered to the table was fresh and warm. The special crystallized salt added huge flavor to the unsalted butter.
