  • "We have been many times since they first opened. This was, without question, off in so many ways. When we were seated the restaurant was basically empty, and we were seated at a two top by the window. Within minutes, in an otherwise empty restaurant, another couple was seated right next to us. We then waited while our server waited on the other couple first! When the entrees arrived, my wife's was over-cooked, and my special, the cobia, was not only an inferior cut, but was tiny. The three shrimp were underwhelming. This is a relatively expensive restaurant, and we will not return."

  • "The dinner food was very good. Excellent fish and preparation. Good, inventive deserts. The waiter just put the plates on the table and fled without asking if we needed anything else. I did--and it took me 10 minutes to get someone else (another server) to bring it to the table. We were never asked if everything was okay with the food, and it took a very long time to get our check. I had to actually get up twice to ask for the check, as my signaling from the table didn't evince any response. Although we loved the food, I will not plan to go back any time soon. This is an expensive restaurant with substandard service."

  • "Outdoor back patio table, as requested. Entire meal from appetiser through dessert was excellent. Waitress was terrific. Although I mentiond it was an anniversary dinner when I e-mailed the reservation, nothing was mentioned during our dinner, but then, we did not request any thing special. This was not a big deal We enjoyed our visit and our mail VERY much. This was not our first trip (from Wellingon) to Max's and it wil not be he last. Foood and dinnr outstanding. Lary Snyder"

Our servers this time as well as other times I have dined here have been very knowledgable and quick to create alternatives to the dish that meets my dietary preferences.   • "After hearing rave reviews about Max's Harvest, we decided to try it for Sunday Brunch. The unlimited Champagne, Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar was nice while waiting for our table. We ordered the Goat Cheese Croquettes to start out with. They were absolutely out of this world. We also ordered the Quiche and the Biscuits and Gravy. The server brought out the wrong items to our table then immediately left. The quiche was completely flavorless and the biscuits and gravy were also very bland. The potatoes were the best part of the main course. Not impressed at all. With all of the choices on and around Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, it will be a long time before I give Max's Harvest another chance."

  • "When we arrived at 5:30 the dining room was empty. The hostess tried to seat us in a back corner and was very reluctant to seat us near the window as we desired but finally did so. when we left at 7:00 the room was still empty. The food was very good but I don't think we will be back."

  • "Went for Saturday brunch with my husband and almost 2 year old daughter...it was perfect! I noted "kid-friendly" as we went during the day, however I have not been for dinner and I'm sure the atmosphere changes. The service was top notch and the food was fun and delicious...foodies will love this place! Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar is interactive and bottomless, doesn't get much better. Great scene right off Atlantic so you can dine and shop in one trip! Ask for Dwayne or Tracy...awesome service. GM Peter & Chef Eric make a great team!"

  • "I want to love this place...I really do. I have now been here about 5 times because I keep hoping I'm going to fall in love. There are so many things I like about it....the concept, the service, the ambiance. The food is just not quite there and I so want it to be.. On our experience over the weekend, we did a sampling of several appetizers and the only standout was the brussel sprouts. It must be me because they are always busy! I took my friend who owns several restaurants because I thought she'd really enjoy trying the farm-to-table food but she wasn't too impressed either. Kevin was our waiter and he was just wonderful. If it wasn't for him, it would have been a mediocre experience at best. I may try again sometime."

  • "Had to wait for more bread by then we were finished with salad. Food at this price restaurant should come to the table hot. It was warm. We asked to dine outside were never told there was a lovely back patio. We should have been given the option since we got there early. The main dish portion was good but the salad was small. We were disappointed overall. We eat out a lot at fine restaurants."

  • "We had a Truly outstanding dinner last Wednesday. Beautiful dining outside one of our party is allergic to butter, soy, and gluten. The waitress talked the four of us thru choices, and the fish special was made available without any of these ingredients. Wow. The food was spectacular, admittedly the 3 of us did share other items filled with gluten and butter. The waitress' patience, and the kitchen's acumen and flexibility makes this place shine! We will be back."

  • "Max's is still my favorite Delray Beach restaurant. The appetizers were so interesting last Saturday night, i only ordered small plates. The squash blossoms stuffed with lobster were crisp on the outside and luscious on the inside. The little potato skins with tuna were surprising, crunchy fried fingerling holding tiny cubes of great tuna drizzled with lemon aioli. Can't beat the place. We prefer to sit outside in the back patio but the rain clouds were threatening, luckily they have added a cover in case of inclement weather. Highly recommend."

  • "The only problem we had was that we waited more than an hour after the time of our reservation to be seated . I understand they were having troubles because it was raining and nobody wanted to seat outside, but this is not the first time we go through the same issue with this restaurant. It wasn't raining the last time we went there before Saturday, and still we had to wait more than an hour after the time of our reservation to be seated."

  • "The food was outstanding. My wife and I had the mushroom soup, which was the best I've tasted. The service was very slow, but even without us complaining, the manager came over and apologized and gave us free deserts. The slow service must have been unusual or he gives away a lot of free deserts. I would go back."

  • "very pleased with our menu selections, they were fresh and flavorful. We especially liked the sauces which complimented and balanced the main course. Although the corn bread served at the beginning of the meal seemed overly sweet, by the end of the meal it tasted very good on the palette after some of the spicy dinner sauces. Although my sliced pork loin was a little bit tough, the rest of my entree was delicious. Overall it was an excellent meal: from the watermelon crush to the key lime pie."

  • "We've been dining since they opened, last dined here was Dec. Food portions went considerably down and seems like they are now cutting corners and spreading the food out. Pork belly app went from being a nice block to a thin slice in what looked like an undercooked bun, the taste wasn't there either and everyone at the table was disappointed with the dish. Also, the burrata dish went from getting the burrata ball with a nice salad, to a slice of it in a 'salad' made of vinegary croutons. I have ordered burrata at many other restaurants and I have never been given just a slice of it this at $15. Sadly our favorite restaurants has given up making delicious food in the interest of only making money. Needless to say, we won't be going back."

  • "We took my father to Max's Harvest for his birthday. The food was outstanding - and that is coming from a family of NYC foodies. It was clean, indulgent, inventive, portions were perfect. The service was incredible as well. I highly recommend Max's harvest as one of the best restaurants in Palm Beach County. We all left full and extremely happy!"

  • "If you want conversation, sit in the pack patio area. If you are looking for noisy, vibrant (hip) environment, inside is best. Outside front dining is on the street - would not be my fav. The food is excellent: healthy and very unusual. The staff superior: friendly, knowledgable and seem to truly enjoy being there."

  • "Our grp of 4 enjoyed dining in their courtyard out back while the sun went down and the stars came out. Tiki torches, large heaters, plants, quietness, water feature. You must try their gourmet Mac & Cheese! We can't resist ordering this as an appetizer whenever we go. Enough for 4 people, if you want a small portion. The Farmers salad was tasty & the other salad selections look tasty as well. We ordered 2 of their Boneless short ribs, 1 gourmet burger, 1 swordfish. All enjoyed their dinners, but the swordfish just wasn't up to their usual par. Enjoyed their bread pudding but would have liked a little sauce on top and the 4 small donuts that came with 2 sauces were just okay...nothing special. Overall, a nice evening out with friends."

  • "I have dined at Max's Harvest in the past and always enjoyed my meal. However, after this past experience, I will not go back neither will I recommend anyone else to try either. Our waitress was wonderful and kept very calm and kind during the rush of dinner. I ordered their soup and it came warm not hot. (it was a cold evening) I ordered a entrée salad that came with wilted "soaked in dressing) lettuce, [what were they hiding?] and had a glass of expensive wine that gave me a few sips and it was gone. I had soup, salad and a half empty glass of wine for $50. I'm sorry, there a far too many restaurants in Delray that would give me my monies worth. It's too bad because it is set in a lovely atmosphere."

  • "Absolutely LOVE this restaurant!! The food is delicious and I like that it's all locally grown. All of the wait staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! The $15 unlimited mimosas and bloody marys at brunch are a great deal but if you're not drinking the cucumber watermelon juice is even better! I would definitely recommend the goat cheese croquettes & the chicken and waffles."

  • "Was a really fun hip scene and the bar buffet was great but honestly, the menu was limited, boring and WAY OVERPRICED!! Come on, 30$ hamburger?! My husband asked for no pickles or onions and they came on anyway. I was thinking a farm to fork restaurant would gave some great salad or veggie dishes, but all I could get was quinoa salad. I don't like to write bad reviews but was highly disappointed"

  • "This is my second visit in a row that I found the food over salted. Don't know why they do that because they use high quality food and then ruin it with salt. This was true for the magnificent salad to the burger to the fish special. Also the "special cocktail" that I was encouraged to try didn't deliver as advertised. Great service, though."

Portions are just right--maybe too small to share. Flour less chocolate cake was like a rock. Outdoor seating in the front is too crowded. Ambiance is just okay inside."

  • "I expected as much from this group and my expectations were more than met. The food was outstanding, fresh and flavorful. We kept commenting on the carrots and how they reminded us of those we used to eat as children! The selections were inventive and took us to culinary places we had never been before. I won't even begin to describe the desserts, just order the donuts and prepare to be WOWED!!!"
