They are always totally impressed with the drinks (who doesn't love dry ice coming out of their lemon drop) the perfect chilled seafood beautifully presented on ice, and those steaks! And do not miss the warm butter cake for dessert. So yummy! Live entertainment is also a plus here."

  • "The evening was perfect from beginning to end. We were put in a side room away from all the noise and music and we were able to talk without yelling. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The steak was done to perfection as was all of the side dishes. We shared everything and it was all portioned for us by the staff. It was my friends birthday and the dessert, which was a present from Mastro's, was incredible. Although very pricey, I would come to this restaurant again for a special occasion."

  • "This was the first time we have been to the TO Mastros. The service was beyond amazing. The food was delicious all around. Great atmosphere! Music was very good and not to loud. All in all very impressed with everything. Happy with this choice for my sons 30th Birthday Dinner. PS I was a little concerned that our reservation was 100% an online reservation. I have only used OpenTable one other time. And the first time I called the restaurant to make sure the reservation was intact. This time I did not call to confirm. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from Mastros the morning of our reservation to confirm everything. Nice job OpenTable!! :)"

  • "This is my 2nd time at Mastro's, so far I have not been disappointed. The food is incredible, portions are very genereous and service was fantastic. There was a live band the evening I went, which was good and bad. The band was amazing but difficult to have a conversation with our friends. If the band is there and you wanted to talk with friends. I would recommend a table further away."

  • "From the extremely polite and attentive service by Jeff to the unusual sides and extensive off the menu offers, our experience was perfect. What seemed like a bottomless Martini (the shaker was left at the table and lasted through the meal with many pours) started a meal that consisted of a bone-in filet, a Wagyu New York and the crab gnocchi. The steaks were prepared exactly to our asking and were unbelievably tender and tasty. The gnocchi is a must order. Do not leave without trying it! Everything about the experience was great and we would definitely return."

  • "Very high end meal, but worth it. I tried the Japanese Wagku 8 oz steak that melted in my mouth. Pricey at $98.00 but I really wanted to try it and it was worth it. Was very rich, so much I only ate 1/2 of it. Side dishes/appetizer: oysters Rockefeller were ok, but not exceptional; gnocchi with king crab, panko , cheese and truffles was tasty, but a bit heavy for me, especially with rich steak. Our waiter was super nice and provided excellent service. Only downside was tables are so close together in the back of restaurant that I felt everyone around us was listening in on our conversation. Also, once the entertainment in the bar gets going, it becomes quite loud and hard to talk over even though we were in back of restaurant."

  • "We enjoy fine dining, and we enjoy good steaks, so we expected our 33rd anniversary dinner at Mastro's would be special. Well...we were disappointed. The steaks were very good but not amazing. The menu is a bit odd--all the starters were seafood based, except for a couple salads. And the sides were overly generous portions at crazy prices. Which brings me to prices. Honestly, I can't say the meal was worth it. $50 for a steak. $19 for a side. The same for a starter. And then served almost family style. Call me old fashioned, but I like nice presentation, especially for a premium meal! Next time we will go back to Saddle Peak Lodge for a special occasion."

  • "After dining at the original Chasen's (where Ronald Regan proposed to Nancy), Chasen's 2, which ultimately ended up being Mastro's Beverly Hills 10 years ago- I thought I'd check out their Thousand Oaks location. What a let down- the building is old, the dining room is like a coffee shop, valet changed seat in car. Plates COLD!!! WTF? Are you kidding me? Oysters were great, wife's seabass great, caesar fair... Corkage $35. Whoever owns or invested in this place has never been to Beverly Hills or South Coast Plaza- sad, but true..."

  • "We celebrated our wedding anniversary with friends who were married on the same date. Our waiter, Wesley, was excellent. He was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. All the food was exceptional from the stuffed mushrooms to the mashed potatoes with lobster. We were treated to the warm butter cake (one for each couple). We had eaten at the Ruth's Chris in Woodland Hills a few nights before and Mastro's was so much better in all respects except the filet mignon was actually better at Ruth's Chris. We'll return to Mastro's again for a special occasion."

Marco, our waiter, provided excellent service and made us all feel welcome. Each meal was prepared to specifications - steaks, seafood and delicious sides. We split the signature cake, which worked out well for the party of 7. We were there on a busy Saturday evening, yet we did not feel the hustle and bustle of the restaurant due to the great table location and fine service."

Good wine list, although ridiculously high priced. Oh, and the valet outside is fine, but a mandatory parking fee of $4 just seemed petty and unnecessary after dropping $500 on dinner. I won't be back."

  • "My family went there for dinner last Friday. Their service and ambience are superb. The bone-in filet was excellent according to my two teenage children. I had rack of lamb which was also cooked perfectly and very tasty. Wife ordered scallops risotto and finished it all. The lobster mashed potato and sautéed mushroom were delicious. At the end, the butter and chocolate cakes they offered for my son's birthday and our anniversary were also a plus. Overall, it's a great place for special occasion."
