The food was to die for, especially the Maine mussels, which were in a spicy tomato broth. There was a good variety on the menu including steaks. seafood, and pasta. They even had a lot of gluten free options for those with special diets. The only issue we had was the waitress, who seemed preoccupied. She never asked us how our dinner was and got into an argument with the table next to ours about a menu item. I don't eat meat, but the salmon was great. I was there on Sunday night and they have a three course meal for 23.95 and had some great choices on that menu. For an appetizer I had the Tuscan style salad. It was good, and tasted very fresh. Was impressed with the buffalo mozzarella cheese. That can be hard to find.
The salmon was very good, it was cooked perfectly. A friend recommended it, which is the only reason I even considered going. I try to avoid the mall because I hold the preconceived notion that all mall restaurants are noisy and boring. Wrong on this one! First great feature-main entrance, outdoor seating (w/ fireplace) face away from the mall toward the west from an elevated vantage point--fantastic sunsets!! Inside decor is pleasant--not romantic, but clean and grown up with a variety of seating arrangements. Service was OUTSTANDING! Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive but not intrusive. Lots of choices on the menu, all from local ingredients. The wine list was made up of all USA products, i believe, and they feature perhaps 9 beers on tap, mostly local. We arrived 15 minutes early without realizing it and they smoothly sat our party of six in a couple of minutes. The menu was impressively varied and not just standards. Two of our party had the featured corned beef and shepherds pie, while others had brunch and lunch items, all of which drew praise. Our appetizers stood out. Platters of locally sourced cheeses and cured meats were nicely presented and generous in portion.
