  • "We enjoyed their Peruvian Independence Day special which was prix fixe. It was a great value as the food, as usual, was outstanding. The service was prompt and server knowledgeable about the menu. The Arroz con Mariscos was especially good."

  • "We took our out of town family to dinner at Mango, with ages ranging from 12 to 67. Everyone found something to like, which is not easy for diverse palates; and everyone had a good time. What's not to like when Pisco Sours, and variations thereof, are readily available."

  • "This the the best Peruvian food I have eaten outside of Miami. The quality and flavors are amazing. Keep up the great job. I will visit again on my next trip to STL."

  • "The food was delicious as always! I brought my 10-year old neice to expand her dinning experience. Our server "Tony" was great and made some spot on suggestions as well as showing her how Peruvians eat empanadas! She enjoyed it and ate requested her leftovers for lunch the next day!"

  • "I started going to Mango when it was located in a strip mall in Shrewsbury. My husband & I fell in love with their savory food, colorful culture and beautiful family. Mango is our go-to restaurant for a romantic evening, family dinner and especially entertaining guests from out of town. Mango never disappoints!"

  • "The food and drinks were incredible. Loved the vibe and decor as well. I'll be back without a doubt. My only complaint would be that the server brought our check before we were finished, which I wouldn't have expected from a place of this caliber. A busser also asked to clear our dessert that we had only taken about three bites of. We felt like we were being pushed out."

  • "I took my sister to Mango Peruvian for her birthday. She had been to Peru a year ago and was very impressed with MP's authentic Peruvian food and beverages. Our food was very good as well as the service. Also, they had an extensive wine list. I would like to return for dinner sometime in the future."

  • "Have been to Mango before, but this time we took friends who are 'newbies'. They loved it. Interesting and delicious varieties of foods and spices combinations. We all had small plates and shared. We were very pleasantly full. Waitress was delightful and attentive. Mango is on the "Repeat" list."

  • "I have been to mango 3 times now. The menu has been different each time and the food has been exceptional. The service has also been really great with each visit. I really enjoy this place - I'd definitely recommend checking it out."

  • "This has to be one of the best restaurants downtown. Their food is consistently excellent. Great beer on draft, excellent cocktails. The ceviche is always good. I had the fish special which was done very well. Finished with a double espresso for dessert. I've not been disappointed."

  • "This was my first time at Mango. I had heard about it from a friend who recently dined in and they said it was amazing, so of course I had to try it. The night I went, was for my boyfriend's birthday. When we got there, we sat at the bar for a drink. We both ordered Mojito's...and they were delicious! We were then taken to our table. When I made the reservation, I told them if there was anything special they do for birthdays, I would love to do that. At our table, there were little streamers on it and the 'special' menu for that night said HAPPY BIRTHDAY across the top. It was so cute! The food was absolutely AMAZING, and I really don't believe there could possibly be anything bad on the menu. I will definitely be back to try new things!"

  • "The flare subsided and I could taste the rice and scallops and shrimp and mussels. It was a fantastic meal with sangria and plantains, too. The cheese platter was alright; the warm bread was an unusual pleasure paired with the cheese. We asked for a bowl of mango for our kids and they accommodated willingly. There was no room for dessert. The service was spectacular."

  • "Service was very slow but it was to be somewhat expected - there was a large conference I town and the restaurant was inundated. Mango is right near the conference center, so should have been better prepared for the crowds. Other than that the food was great and our waitperson was delightful."

  • "We had an overall excellent experience. The hostess and waiter were friendly and accomadating. The waiter was knowledgeable and provided great insight into the entrées."

  • "The was food was very delicious and presented in a very appetizing fashion. We ordered several tapas plates verses an entree and each one was was very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and able to give us direction on what to order since this was our first time there. We were there on a Friday night on a non-Cardinal game night with reservations at 7:15pm. The restaurant was not busy then but by the time we left at 8:30, the place was filled!"

  • "For the most part, my wife and I enjoyed the whole experience at Mango. The appetizers were great, but both of our meals the rice was overcooked. It left much to be desired. I think its still a spot worth checking out because it might have been a fluke mistake."

  • "We were pleased with both the pre-theater dinner specials which were a great value for nice food. The scallop special, which was a different menu than the prix fixe pre theater was really good. Scallops so often disappoint when not done well, and these left nothing wanting. Very good."

  • "Was in St. Louis just for one evening and found this place. The food was great and the service was excellent. The plantains they bring to the table were excellent as was my steak. The location was great and it was nice to be able to walk from our hotel to restaurant on a warm St. Louis evening. "

  • "I rated this restaurant 2 stars, "fair", and even this was generous. The reason I had high expectations because my previous three dining experiences were spectacular. In contrast, this time around we were utterly disappointed. The only reason we did not make a scene and complain about everything from the reservation to the quality of the food was because we were there as a celebration, and wanted to avoid the negativity of making a complaint dragging down the overall mood. From the disorganization of the waiting staff (evident throughout), to the long wait, to the cold meal -- we were frankly in a rush to get out as fast as possible. Will never come here again, and I hope you don't either. "

  • "This as our first to Mango Peruvian 5/13. We were visiting St. Louis and staying downtown. We enjoyed all aspects of our evening. The servers were prompt and attentive throughout our visit. They begin with complimentary fried plantains with a delicious salsa verde dipping sauce. We like eating tapas style and ordered fried calamari, it was a generous portion and super fresh, then grilled chicken skewers with a lemon butter dipping sauce and two yummy slices of sweet potato, and a chicken tamal with great tomato salsa. The menu is true to the one on their website with additional daily specials. The atmosphere is not unlike places we have experienced in Spain and Latin America, more bar-like with elevated tables and stools. "

  • "We went on a weekday for an early lunch to celebrate my birthday. We had made reservations online through OpenTable, so they had placed some confetti on the table to make it look festive. We had the empanadas and tamilito as appetizer. The meat filling was excellent, but the empanada was doughy and soft. The tamalito was divine, but the onion accompaniment I found to be too sharp tasting to complement it. I had the fresh lemonade, which was quite tart. It didn't seem to have any sugar, and there were no salt/pepper/sugar on the table. I ordered the Lomo Saltado sandwich for my main course. The flavour of the meat was very good, but the huge pieces of French bread were too much for the amount of meat on it."

  • "This was our third time here and every time we are overwhelmed with the unique and exceptional fare. Drinks are great with unusual ingredients. Food items have our favorite entres but featured in special Peruvian ways that are so fresh and delicious. I recommend highly. "

  • "My wife is Peruvian and we have have visited Mango a few times per year for the last 6 or 7 years. We have had mostly good dining experiences, and some which were culinary delights. I decided to take my mom there for Mothers Day and introduce her to Peruvian cuisine. Service was very good, but the food we had that day was at best mediocre. Ceviche is the king of Peruvian food, and Peruvians are the kings of ceviche, yet Mango somehow managed to make a ceviche that was actually bad. It did not have the characteristic aji amarillo that Peruvians are so fond of heaping on this cold fish dish, and rather than having a lovely sour lemon taste, they somehow managed to make a ceviche that was bitter. The entrees were ok, not great."

  • "Mango Peruvian offered a unique dining taste. I hadn't had ceviche is some time, and they do it right! My wife, four kids, and I had a very comfortable dining experience on a Sunday afternoon. They do have a kids menu but it's limited. "

  • "I happened across this restaurant while jogging in St Louis. I immediately went to Open Table to research and found great information on it so I had to try it. They definitely exceeded my expectations in food quality and flavors as well as ambiance. If I lived in St Louis, I would be a regular there! Great job!"

  • "We returned to Mango after a hiatus for no particular reason. We had never had a bad meal at Mango and we picked up where we left off with another good meal. The fish dishes were nicely seasoned with a lot of flavor. All in all, a positive experience."

  • "The food at Mango is very fresh and creative , particularly the fish dishes. I had the Mai Mai special and my husband had the grouper - we loved them both. They were very accommodating to my "low carb" request in preparing my dish. We went with a party of 6 and everyone loved the food - it was only topped by the Sangria (which if you don't get a pitcher - you are missing out - it isn't too sweet - it is perfection !)."

  • "Mangoes was great, we arrived 1/2 hour early for our reservation and our table wasn't ready yet, but the workers had it ready in about 5 minutes. It was my Birthday and I was supposed to have ribbons at my table but because we were early they must have forgotten them. I ordered a pork tamale as a starter and didn't like it, and the server let me get something else instead, the soup, and I was pleased. Everyone at my table enjoyed they're food and was quite full. My friends all picked from the pre-theater menu, which was only 20.00 for a starter, an entrée and a dessert, that's excellent. They even gave me a free dessert for my Birthday, and it was good. We will definitely come back."

  • "Peruvian restaurants were my favorite in Miami this winter. I found this one in St Louis and was happy to try it. I asked for my favorite dish, Sudado de Pescado. It was not on the menu but the chef made it for me for a slight additional charge. It was delicious! "
