Diner Reviews
  • "If this restaurant had been open it would have been lovely. However it was closed for the season. I tried to make another booking with Open Table at "Cobalt, "as it was our wedding anniversary, the website would not allow this , as l already had a booking within 2hours. I reported this, to Open Table but no one has responded, It has been five days. Hopefully there will be more Wedding Anniversaries". Carole Wright"

  • "Imagine my surprise when I booked a birthday dinner through Opentable & drove 30 miles to discover the restaurant was closed! In my opinion it is MM's responsibility to update their summer hours (BTW - Thursday-Sunday) on Opentable. Very disappointed. I had been before & enjoyed it greatly."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Maison Martinique. Always one of our favorite places for a romantic dinner, our most recent experience was better than ever. Both my husband and I ordered from the prix fixe menu and were delighted with our choices. Service was perfect and food was delicious. And at prix fixe prices, what more could you ask for? We will be returning soon..."

  • "STUNNED BY WHAT WE COULDN'T ORDER. ONION SOUP? PRESENTATION POOR - UNSEASONED SOLE/LUKE WARM MASHED POTATOES/CAULIFLOWER - NO COLOR. COST OF DINNER WAY BEYOND WHAT WE RECEIVED. SERVICE SLOW. NO SENSE OF ELEGANCE. FIRST AND LAST VISIT"

  • "The service and staff at our early dinner was impecable. The food was mixed- the crab cake was the blandest one I have had in Florida. The blueberry salad was outstanding. The drinks were great. I have already forgotten what I had as an entree. "

  • "We enjoyed our evening but two items would make the experience even better. First, if there are going to be more than three special items, please print them up and enclose in the menus, so that the diner can give te same consideration to those items as the rest of the menu. The waiter said it took him two hours to memorize the list so I certainly couldn't remember it all. Second, ask the chef to use less pepper. It's not everyone's favorite seasoning."

  • "Absolutely excellent food here. Service was good. I took my girlfriend out to this restaurant and it seemed received a second class service experience because of the only difference I could find between us and other couples. My girlfriend is Hispanic, there was not a single person in that establishment who was not white besides her. Indefinitely seemed although we received second class treatment compared to other guests. Great food, probably won't go back because of the service."

  • "Had a little trouble finding the place as it is tucked back off the street. Hostess was pleasant and cheerful. Waiter was okay but had to wait too long in between visits to our table. Both my wife's and my food were overcooked, the cheese on the french onion soup was burnt and so was the duck. It was like the chef was so busy he forgot about the meals while they were cooking. Food taste was nothing special. Did offer to take some off the bill. Definitely not worth the $130 plus bill for two guests. Will not be repeat customers."

  • "I was looking forward to my first experience there last night. I don't think we'll be going back. We had reservations. When we walked up we had to wait quite a while before anyone came to seat us. I counted 9 employees walk by during that time....strike one. Made a drink order for Captain on the rocks with a "splash" of coke. It was mostly coke.....strike two. We had already had our drinks finished and still no waiter had come to even introduce himself......strike three. Then, we had to ask for menus....strike four. I was looking forward to the lobster bisque. Once I got it.....not a single piece of lobster in it!....strike five. I didn't even eat it. We finally got our check. I placed my card in it immediately. Waited 15 minutes for someon"

  • "What a special place, we were so thrilled with Maison Martinique! The menu is wildly creative while maintaining excellent quality, and you cannot go wrong. We ordered several courses. We went while visiting family and I couldn't have asked for a better night. Seated under the stars on a quiet brick patio adjacent the pool, a nearby fountain adds to the calm and you can just barely hear the ocean from across the street. Service was professional and knowledgeable, with pleasant timing, you're not going to be rushed, which was nice. This is a great date night spot."

  • "I really wanted to like this restaurant but unfortunately the food was a major let down. Overall it reminds me of a French restaurant from the 1960s that hasn't changed - this is definately old school. The room we were in was hot, stuffy, and had a noticeable fishy smell. We tried a veal chop special and the rack of lamb off the menu. The veal was cooked as ordered but the truffle sauce was flavorless - the sides included haricot vert, carrots, a potatoe gratan, and a spinach side. Every thing was over garliced and heavy handed. The rack of lamb was "gamey" and tasted like New Zealand lamb that comes in cryovac shrink wrap as opposed to a good domestic source. The herb crust was stale. Good service couldn't over come the food."

  • "A wonderful dining experience not found much anymore. The Caribbean French flair in the cuisine makes us return every time we're in town. Then if you head upstairs to the Havana nights piano bar you can enjoy a fun quieter bar scene with wonderful signature drinks. It's always a romantic night with a little spice."

  • "Very nice decor but the food is just average. It's voted best in Vero but honestly, it's more like 3rd best in Vero. For the price ($28 for 3 courses) it's a great deal. But I'd rather spend a little more & have a fantastic meal. My husband & I had chicken & fish dishes & they were both very salty. We smoke, we never taste salt. There is another French place downtown that all the locals rave about, we'll have to check them out."
