Lupo by WolfgangTremendous food, amazing serviceWolfgang Puck as a reputation for being demanding, exacting. Dinner at LUPO shows why. The good was simply excellent and the waitstaff was tremendous. Our waiter, Michael, had a great depth of food knowledge an a near encyclopedic knowledge of wine. It was a full house an it was delightful to watch the energetic staff bustling about the floor. The staff was very helpful and accommodating for our large group. Our waiter was quite helpful with selection suggestions and managing the “flow” of the evening – good job, Michael! Course changes were seamless. My only complaints were that they were slow in refilling the water glasses. Also, they will not seat your party until the majority of the attendees are present, so early-arrivers had to stand around in the doorway. We began the evening at the bar and enjoyed the different kinds of beer and liquors. When our party arrived we were promptly seated and our waiter was excellent. From the appetizers served in a timely fashion, to the great entrees, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Conversation flowed as furiously as the alcohol as we had a fabulous evening. Our servers were discrete, knowledgable, and never rushed us. Should have eaten here first instead at another non-Wofgang restaurant earlier in the week. Make reservations as the restaurant fills quickly because of all the conventions that are held. The salads are big enough to share and main entrees are gourmet style prepared, but not the usual gourmet small size. Very nice place,a bit loud and I had a hard time hearing the waiter,but he was great! We were seated on a corner at the end of the bar,not a great place and it was the only table in that area,I would probably eliminate that table. I felt it was a little high priced but after all it is Vegas,but I felt it is a great place to dine and the food was amazing. We had the most phenomenal bruschetta with white bean purée. Who knew white bean purée elevates bruschetta so much? The penne alla carbonara was also phenomenal. The service was great.
