Diner Reviews
  • "Love the place but tonight was just one of those nights. Risotto was a little underdone. The pizza was greasy when it shouldn't have been. It was a busy night but it also wasn't a cheap night. Will definitely go back. "

  • "Pay no attention that it snowed on Tuesday (April 22), Cleveland is back outside and enjoying Spring. A night out at reliable and energetic Lolita is the perfect way to celebrate surviving winter. Luscious Manhattan to start, mariner's seafood casserole as entre, tres bien! Will certainly return again and again and again!"

  • "I was in Cleveland with my family seeing the sights and had to check out one of Michael Symon's restaurants. We picked Lolita. We had our children with us too, so they were quite happy having the pizza, which was delicious. I had the duck bolognese and my husband had the hanger steak. Be proud iron chef the food and service did not disappoint. Thank you Lolita for a great dinner experience. "

  • "The neighborhood allowed for drinks outside before heading to Lolita's for dinner. The staff was outstanding. We had an excellent dinner with out group of five ordering from across the menu and thoroughly enjoying all of it."

  • "Love Michael and have wanted to visit one of his restaurants for years. It was definitely worth the trip from upstate NY. Had unique food (pig tail and ears) and the best pasta I've ever had. Loved it!"

  • "Lolita's remains a hot ticket in Tremont; reservations a week in advance are often required. Prices have risen and the entrées now include one side only. It's noisy, the food is heavy, the service is OK, but it makes for a fun evening. Other than the Mendoza Malbec ($28), wine prices were mainly north of $40."

  • "We had a business dinner at Lolita and we all really enjoyed the martinis and the food. The cured meat appetizer for the table was outstanding, as was the eggplant dip! Yum. Will definitely go back."

  • "Had a great meal at Lolita with my wife. The food was super. our server was knowlegable about the food & the wine list. Service was unobtrusive and efficient. The menu was wonderful. Would go back regularly if I lived in Cleveland. Would recommend this place highly."

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our one year anniversary of our wedding. She has a gluten allergy and your restaurant accommodated her greatly thank you. The roasted chicken was delicious and gluten free. The only setback was the potatoes she ordered were salty and a little to oily. She was also very excited that the hazelnut brownie cheesecake was gluten free. It was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful dinner on our special day. Dan"

  • "It has been a little while since we dined at Lolita's, but that didn't matter, the food and service were great as we remembered. A great meat board, eggplant dip - the best! Soppressata pizza! & bone marrow. We will be back to enjoy the patio in the summer."

  • "I booked the reservation for our monthly dinner group several weeks in advance, so I was surprised I couldn't get a 7:00 reservation, but it was a larger group (8 people) and a Saturday night. We got in at 7:45, which was fine. There was a snow storm that night, but the place was still packed and there was a lively atmosphere. We shared the eggplant dip and bone marrow as appetizers, and both were excellent. Several in our group got the soup, which was French Onion, and also very good. For an entrée I got the Hanger Steak, medium rare. The flavor was very good, but the texture was a little tough. The Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had! Ambiance and service were great, so overall I give it an A."

  • "We took my mother here for her birthday. We drove up from Pittsburgh, so I was hoping it was worth the trip and it was! The food was amazing and our service was just as good. We had our four year old daughter with us. The server did not appear annoyed at all and was happy to help us pick something out for her to eat. The menu is small compared to many other places, but there was something for all of us. There was a great selection of beer and wine to choose from as well."

  • "We do not go to Lolita often, but every time we do, it is a time to remember. The food is always excellent. The service is always topnotch. The last time we visited, my partner had the hanger steak. I had a taste. That steak was all I thought about having the next time we went to Lolita. And after 6 years, I was not disappointed. That steak was succulent! I am not going to wait another 6 years to return to Lolita. My partner shared a taste of the breaded pork chop this time. Now, I have to have that!"

  • "We went to Lolita to celebrate a birthday with a few friends. We'd gotten a cake, and they were happy to cut and serve it for us. They did charge a small fee, but added candles I'd forgotten, and even threw in ice cream for everyone. The meals were, of course, outstanding. Overall Lolita is pretty noisy, which is a little annoying, especially since they play great music - but with the noise level it can barely be heard. Tough combination though. If they turned up the music , the sound level overall would just be worse. So - all in all, a great night and place."

  • "We enjoyed our recent visit to this establishment. The staff was very well informed and able to answer all of our questions regarding the menu and wine list. Our appetizer was an evening special and was outstanding. Our main courses were prepared and served in a timely fashion. The flavors were excellent and went well together. The desserts were gelato and a cheesecake, both were delicious."

  • "My partner and I have been wanting to eat here for quite awhile previously, but somehow never ended up going until the other night. Now, we are kicking ourselves for not eating here sooner! We could've been eating this absolutely amazing food 6 months ago!"

  • "First time at Lolita with my fiance. Very cute little area with welcoming greeters who were very friendly and sociable. The food was very good with affordable prices for what you get. Food presentation is fabulous, almost like artwork. Atmosphere is quite sociable and comfortable, not very loud at all, with cool looking artwork and lighting. Service was perfect, not too crowding but not slacking and very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Server refill of drinks was quite often, never requiring myself or my fiance to call over for refills. I would highly recommend going back and plan to soon with more friends."

  • "Both the food and ambience of the restaurant impressed our out-of-town guest--a unique dining experience. Especially memorable was the Tuesday pig roast but pork chop, chicken and mussels were also fantastic."

  • "Not only was this an excellent meal, our server was very attentive but not overly so. The food was awesome and the wine list was to die for."

  • "We had an amazing dinner last weekend at Lolita! Every person in the party was in love with their drink, appetizer, and dinner. We were all stealing bites from each others plates because every meal was just that good. The waitstaff was quick to clear tables and bring food, but not intrusive. The ambience of the restaurant was great for a small gathering of friends or for an intimate couple's dinner. We'll be back soon and dragging more friends there with us."

  • "Went on a Tues nite for our 19th anniversary. Had a reservation. Upon entering the hostess glanced up and said "What can I do for you?" A bit abrupt, at least how about Hi, what can I do for you? We were tempted to say we're here for an MRI, but meekly simply said , we have a reservation, name. Without eye contact, she replied, follow me. Seated us at a small table for 2, not the best table but OK. The rest of our experience was good, pleasant service, good food. We had both specials, the Tues Pig Roast and the seafood special of the day. Both were excellent. Wine list is limited and heavy on the expensive choices, but reasonable choices were found. Will return but not looking forward to another encounter with your hostess."

  • "We've been to Lolita's quite often....but the last time will have us thinking twice about going back. Straight up vodka martini tasted like licorice...they promptly remade it...but still had taste of licorice (due to residue in shaker...?...not sure) --we let our waiter know we had a play to get to ....but time between appetizer and main course was 30 + minutes (due to "mix-up on our order ticket) Main course choices seemed quite limited (5 choices if I recall)....and the Quail I had seemed undercooked...and I paid for it the next day (if you know what I mean) Mgr did come out and offer a free dessert which was nice. so....while staff tried to make amends...the overall experience was multiple notches below what we've come to expect."

  • "Fantastic meal. I never order pork chops when out to eat. But I figured that if any one knows how to cook a pork chop it would be Michael Simon. That's for sure true. Unbelievable!!!"

  • "We had just watched "Beat Bobby Flay" days before and had seen Michael Symon which made us think,"hey,we're headed to Cleveland and he has several restaurants there-let's pick one to eat at!" We did and we took our sister, who was about to turn 60,and her foodie husband who had come into town from New Mexico. We really enjoyed our meals and Ivey our server, was fantastic! Her attitude was five star, her knowledge of the menu was five star and her recommendations were five star! We loved LOLITA's!!!"

  • "We were a group of 8 and sampled a bunch of the appetizers. To our great delight, each was delicious, compelling, and fun to share. The bruschetta with duck liver was amazing, and the big plate charcuterie sampling was perfect - especially the curry-tinged bresaola. For entrees, we had several different pizzas which were all wonderful, the divine hangar steak, and the yummy linguine with clams, tomatoes, pancetta, and crispy bread crumbs. Great wait staff, fun music, a little loud but atmospheric on a crowded Saturday night. All-in-all a fantastic dining experience."
