This place has amazing decor and certainly seems like it should be a perfect upscale place for foodies willing to pay extra for a great meal. Unfortunately they just missed the great part. From the beginning is was just a little off. We were late for our reservation but the restaurant was also a third full. So yeah, we are fine to wait but the hostess seemed like she felt like she had to make us wait because we were late. It was an awkward exchange she could have made so much less stressful. She was perfectly nice but that was strange. She then sat us right away but only when she double checked that we had not yet ordered a drink at the bar. Huh? The bar was crowded and the bar tenders were all in the weeds. What if we HAD gotten an order in, would we have had to stay at the bar? There was no one in the restaurant. The dinning room is so beautiful! But in keeping with the whole night, the food and our server was just a little off. The smoked blue fish pate (they smoke their own stuff) was fine but a little flat. But there were not nearly enough crackers and multiple servers were certainly nice when we asked for extra crackers but it took a really long time to bring them, hence asking multiple servers. The octopus salad was delicious. The escargot was good, also a little flat. The steak was pretty badly charred in parts and that hurt the flavor. The profiteroles were certainly yummy but they were easily the biggest dish of the night. It's two huge ice cream stuffed creampuffs with chocolate fudge. It tasted great but it was also nothing you could not get at many other places for a fraction of the cost. Also our slow and out of it server recommended a sweet after dinner drink that was not at all sweet and made me want to ask if she had given me the wrong thing. We wanted to love this place and if it was less expensive I probably would not have bother with the review but this is Mud Hen level prices and far from Mud Hen level food.

Unique menu with a Montreal flair. Food was very good. I didn't like that we couldn't get seated without the whole party there. Way too noisy. I couldn't hear the person next to me without them shouting. This was a Saturday night, FYI.

If you have a reservation but opt to sit at the bar, they will cancel your Open Table reservation. There was a wait for tables but the bar was open so we said we could eat there. I immediately get the your reservation was canceled notice. It wasn't. We opted not to wait for a table. My wife complained and was told that was the only way they could do it so we waited for a table. Liked the food. Will be back.

Took my wife out for her birthday last night. Everything they served us was top shelf. The duck poutine, mixed mushroom tartine, and charred octopus were the hits of the evening. I was particularly impressed with the mouthwateringly good mushroom tartine. I should note that I am a mushroom connoisseur and amateur mycologist who is tired of "wild mushroom" dishes that consist of ordinary white button mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, and portobello mushrooms-- all cultivars of Agaricus bisporus, and none of them wild. If you're lucky, cultivated shiitakes or oyster mushrooms might be included, which is better, but all too often, "wild mushroom" dishes are fraudulent. Not at littlefork. There were oyster mushrooms, which are tops for flavor in my book, and king trumpet mushrooms and beech mushrooms (shimeji) that gave it a firmer texture than your average mushroom dish. These are all cultivated too, but with their own delicious and different tastes and textures, and the restaurant bills them as "mixed" rather than "wild". A small thing, but one that speaks to their integrity and knowledge. I'd love to see what they could do with true wild species like porcini and morels when in season. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food. Not much of a wine list, but the selections seem thoughtful and good value. We'll definitely return.

The food is too salty. The place was busy and the bar was a little overwhelmed. Our drinks arrived late and they were weird. They leave a door to the outdoor seating open. Though I had requested a warm table, it was drafty. The waiter had an attitude. It was Saturday night, but they were running behind.

A good 3.5 stars is where I'd go. Disappointed enough to keep from a 4. Planned a B day brunch for a friend. Made reservations. We all checked the menu ahead as good foodies do. The woman called me the night to confirm and I confirmed some dishes. She told me to check online and I let her know I did and she actually took extra time to ask and check. Valet. Convenient. Expensive, it's Hollywood and there was construction and the valet was right there which was nice. Valets were pleasant enough. Hostess. Extremely pleasant. Server- a bit abrupt. Had the nerve to tell an older woman we were dining with, "I already told her about the dish". Well, maybe the woman didn't hear. Obviously. Anyways, she wasn't super warm but moving on. Asked for Mussels. Not on menu I was told. I let her know I was assured they had them. My friend asked for a dish she was expecting and she was told they haven't had that in months. Well, fix your online menu as it was on there and we expected it. She said yeah well, we need to update......OK I went to tell the hostess later we really expected mussels and checked last night. She said the chef could make them Game on! Well, 2 dishes came out well.........2 came out wrong and not what were asked for. 2 of us waited. My mussels, the most expensive dish, were cold and gritty and fishy. I ate maybe 5 and sent them away. Told the busser. Server never asked. We were charged for everything and the experience just wasn't good. There are so many great places and on a Sat at Noon- there is a reason this place isn't bustling. Bad service and hit or miss food. I do have to say the hostess was the epitome of great service. Wish I could have tipped her

We had a nice meal there. Maybe not the best place to bring your parents who in their 70's/80's since they were unable (or unwilling?) to turn down the music and we were seated underwear the heating lamp where we were very, warm. Our waiter was great though and the service was attentive. The Brussel Sprouts were delicious!

I liked the tartines better than the entrees, but overall, I would not pay a full dinner price for tapas here. I feel like you can get the same quality for the same price with bigger portions elsewhere in the area. For a group of 4, we ordered 2 tartines & 2 entree dishes, and it was enough to sustain us for a couple hours before our show. We got the salmon & burrata tartine, and both of them were delicious with good flavor combination. I liked that for a tartine, they still tried to pack it on and not skimp on the filling/topping. For the entree, we ordered the peppercorn steak & the pork belly. The perfectly cooked steak was juicy & tender, but much too salty. And the pork belly was a good chunk, but I wasn't a really big fan. You can tell they thought about how they would put each plate together mixing in the different flavors and textures, my only gripe would be their size relative to their price. I liked the tartines a lot better than the entrees, but I left wishing there was more food.
