A word from L'Atelier d'Argentine
L’Atelier d’Argentine is contemporary Argentinean in food and style as if torn out of the heart of Buenos Aires. Rooted in the history and nestled in the urban and regional landscape, the genuine Argentinean cuisine is distinct with a strong flavorful identity —easy to understand and even easier to love.
L’Atelier d’Argentine’s menu is honest, focusing on the quality of the core ingredient and a true reflection of contemporary Argentinian food.

L’Atelier d’Argentine offers 4 to 6 lucky patrons the chance to discover the flavours of Argentina. Seated right by the kitchen and the wine cellar, the lucky few have a privileged access to Chef Natalia Machado who gladly accompanies them on a six-course culinary experience.
Each course features a typical dish, and an Argentinian wine pairing.

The menu changes every week. Upon reservation only, each journey promises to be unique. The price, $95 per person, includes all food and wine.

This is the third time we have dined at this establishment. The first was at MTL a Table, the second for a birthday party I organized and recently for brunch. The food was not hot and our eggs at the brunch were not cooked at all ( huevos al horno). The smoked salmon plate was unfinished ( a couple slices of smoked salmon on a dry brioche bun, with a salad on the side-we had to ask for cream cheese). It took 30 mins to take our order ( we arrived at 1130am on a sunday when the place was far from being full). It will be the last time we dine at this restaurant. Its a shame that all the hype from the owners having brought an argentinian chef was such a deception!

Portions are tiny and expensive, but everything is very fresh and the quality is great. The menu is not very traditional and if you know authentic Argentinian cuisine you might get disappointed with some of the dishes, like Revuelto Gramajo

We had such an amazing time at this incredible steak house. The staff was amazing and really made our special night truly incredible. I don't recall the name of our server (shorter guy, beard) probably because of the wine we had, but he was outstanding. The steak platters that were brought out were succulent and perfectly cooked. Best meal in Montreal!!

Great décor, comfortable seating, interesting menu and very good cuisine, all undermined by slow, nonchalant if smiling service. Sweet tooths : opt for the dulce de leche crepe over the ordinary doughnut holes. Don't fall for the misleading "all-you-can-drink" bloody mary web ads: the actual price ($38) is prohibitive, and includes drink only!

Started w/ incredible mojito and pisco sour ... the humitas and cuarteto empanadas were delicious ... the ravioles calabaz was perfect ... (the only regret was ordering the 12oz lomo instead of the smaller portion) ... by far our favorite restaurant in Montreal!

Fantastic steaks and great wines! The blue cheese and pears salad is very good too. Elegant place and cosy on the side of the fireplace, but we were with kids and coulds eat on that side. The atmosphere is very cold on the other side of the restaurant. Wrong choice of music... Way to loungy for me.

We booked in for a late Saturday night dinner (10:30pm) and were seated at the bar while our table was made ready. Food was very good my wife had Milanese and I had the lamb and the Pulpo appetizer. Wine list is extensive and we had a couple of glasses of the house Malbec. Would definitely go back again perhaps with a group of friends.

After lived in Argentina for a few years I really want to recommend this place. There is plenty parking spots around and it has a beautiful view of Montreal old's port architecture. My wife and I were the only couple there at the time (Friday at 9:00pm) the restaurant was quite busy with mostly groups. The service, food, atmosphere and price were fantastic, BUT… Yes there is a BUT, the music was to loud. I was sitting next to my wife and could not hear what she was saying. We were celabrating our 27th wedding anniversary, who wants to hear her anyways. Lol.

The bavette and contre-filet were tasty and cooked as requested. The service was perfect. They had an interesting wine list with private importations. We were there on a thursday during the 5 à 7 (loundge area) and it was extremely noisy even in the restaurant section (maybe our dinner was too early...). I would go there again.

The appetizer was our 1st let down, humitas & empanadas, sadly the humitas were corn mush, runny & tasteless;the empanadas not fried properly & very little filling. Next was my filet mignon-medium and it arrived well done.Another guest ordered spare ribs & he too was disappointed. Beautiful interiors yet the food the kitchen delivers is inferior. The wine ordered is a private importation & thought that would be a good choice, it was not, high in sulfites so a cheap wine priced high on the menu.I travel regularly to BA & familiar with both the food & wine, I've never been disappointed with the local wines. hoping to find the level of Casa Cruz and or Tegui, in Old Montreal. our server did a good job, the blame goes to the kichen staff.

Sorry, I had big expectations and it fell flat really fast. A timid waitress who didn't seem to know her menue, Items missing on the lunch menue. Long wait between meal and the restaurant was empty (only 2 other tables). I ask for medium for my Hanger Steak and I got 3 pieces: One well well done, one well done and one medium. It took 30 minutes for dessert to arrive, I had actually forgot about it. The Empanadas we're good but really small, 13$ for 4 bitsize portions??? A friend had the Bar wich was really good and fluffy, well seasoned.
