Diner Reviews
  • "We picked Late Harvest Kitchen for date night! It was a wonderful experience. The Bartender was knowledgeable and crafted cocktails to meet our interests. The food was excellent. We chose fish and both entrees were well prepared. The evening finished with the sticky toffee pudding, a must have when going to LHK!"

  • "Tried several of the small plates and sides as well as dessert. Rave reviews for the sticky toffee pudding."

  • "We were a first time diner at LHK. I originally had my doubts about going because the menu was unusual. But, I wanted to try it anyway. I had the pork chop and it was loaded with flavor and cooked perfectly. My kids loved their grilled chicken and wanted more! I had the sticky toffee pudding cake. Now, I have only had toffee cookies in the past, so this was something new for me. The dessert was so tasty! The only negative about it was that it had too much of the toffee sauce - the cake was drowning in it. But, if they only used the sauce as a drizzle, it would have been perfect. LHK is definitely a keeper:)."

  • "This was a wedding anniv. dinner for just the two of us. The service and food selections were better than expected, and the food was prepared to perfection. The overall cost was less than we expected, too. So, it was a very enjoyable dining experience and we will return."

  • "While we feel we need to try new and different restaurants in the Indy area, we always go back to Late Harvest when we want to be assured of a perfect meal. This was no exception. The small plates....I would just eat all of them and stop there!"

  • "Amazing meal. from salad to dessert. the rabbit sausage with lentils was mouth watering. the ribeye was delish. the chocolate mousse was just right, but the star of the night was the toasted cauliflower. I've been thinking about, since Tuesday night! Can't describe it. Just sublime. great wine list and Jsyn, our waiter was perfect. don't miss this restaurant!"

  • "Enjoyed the meal, food was fabulous, desserts a must! Wait staff was very slow to come to the table but once there the service was very good. Noise level was more of a challenge as the evening went on due to several large parties."

  • "Food was acceptible, but for the price NOT outstanding or all that special. I thought the brussel sprouts salad to be extremely boring and the roasted vegetables below average. If one pays a premium price, one should expect better than just average food."

  • "I was surprised at how quickly things added up; but I went to celebrate a special occasion and the food was really, really good. Our server was outstanding - very knowledgeable. They change the menu every day, and the food is fresh. The fish is flown in, so they don't keep a large inventory. It would have been good to know what they were out of, before making the entree selection."

  • "Took my sister here for a special birthday. Food was delicious! Brussels Sprouts Salad was terrific. The Halibut was delicious as was the cauliflower. The desserts look good but no room for dessert!! Service Great!!"

  • "After a faulty start (the hostess seated us in a corner table that was so tight my partner couldn't lift her arm) and a request to be reseated elsewhere, we enjoyed a delicious meal. The halibut was excellent but did require some fresh lemon to add juice. On the other hard a real stand out on the menu was the shaved brussel sprout salad - absolutely delicious! Service was attentive and knowledgable. The outside dining area looked very nice and we will try it next time."

  • "Food always good but this time dampened by a waiter with an attitude"

  • "We had probably the nicest table- circular near a window. The menu was difficult to work with as a number of people commented that there was not much to their taste. We ended up splitting plates- the wedge salad for one and main courses, as the portions are very big. The service was excellent and the dessert was very good. We will be back."

  • "Picked this out on a business trip from Open Table list. WOW, blown away. Pork belly appetizer on a scale of 1-10 was like a 13, drinks were spectacular, try the whiskey flight. Huge prok chop with shredded bacon, outstanding, and the fries with bone marrow butter and freshly sliced jalapenos was off the charts. Great service, with an awesome waiter who made great recommendations. "

  • "I requested a table that would be quiet..........they put is in a separate room, which was great, but then seated a birthday party group of 12 next to us. I was most unhappy."

  • "Since we tried Late Harvest Kitchen last year this has been one of our go-to spots in Indianapolis. When we went on Friday of last week, we were impressed as always by the excellent menu choices. Even though the Caviar Pie, our appetizer of choice, wasn't available, we branched out to try the Pate and Ramp Waffles. Needless to say, it was an excellent new dish! Also particularly notable was the Rabbit Biscuits and Gravy - really just any bread at LHK is amazing. Great meal and excellent service as always. Look forward to going back again soon."

  • "Everything was fine for our visit, perhaps other than the overly friendly waiter. He was just a bit too casual and flip for this kind of quality establishment. The three of us enjoyed our meals, especially the Atlantic salmon and the skate wing. Frankly I'd never tried skate before and found it to be very tasty, somewhat like sole with lemon and capers, but with a little more density. There are several options for side dishes and we ordered a bowl of roasted cauliflower with almonds which was excellent. On the unusual side, after a nice basket of breads and butter were brought, we did have to flag down our server to ask for some kind of small plates to put them on. On the whole, a nice dinner."

  • "The small plates were very good, but I was thought the skate and chicken entrees were too dry. The mixed drinks exceptional! If we were to return we would get small plates and drinks."

  • "We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch here. They are only open for two hours and so glad we got in. We've already decided we will be back next year. Food was absolutely fabulous! Their outdoor patio is just a wonderful, relaxing space. We love it here! "

  • "This was our first time at LHK and it was very nice. Food was very good and nice portion sizes. Fried Oysters were very tasty as was the half chicken with the mushrooms stuffed under skin. Wife had the skate and salad. She liked both of them. As everyone says, don't miss the sticky toffee as it is a great as advertised. Service was good but a little slow. Decor is very nice. This is a little gem for the crowded North side restaurant scene."

  • "Love the food but the service was a little slow. Luckily we werent in a hurry, but it took almost an hour to ger our orders in."

  • "Brussel Sprout salad..a bit dry. Almonds in the Cauliflower..should have read the menu more carefully. Chop..nicely cooked and piping hot. The crowd was REALLY noisy!"

  • "One of the most creative menus we have seen....and our server was well prepared to describe each item we questioned with reliable detail and description. Prep was as ordered and food quality was excellent"

  • "I was not impressed with the walleye schnitzel. It was cooked well but it lacked flavor, it needed sauce or at least some lemon. The garnish of 1 brussle sprout was not impressed. The spaetzle was lacking in flavor but liked the crispness. I will stick to the brandade next time."

  • "I have been to Late Harvest Kitchen twice and it has been excellent both times. One visit was a large business dinner which was handling superbly by the staff. One visit was our Anniversary dinner. Our waiter was friendly an informative and made an excellent wine recommendation with my meal. My favorite entree is the pork chop and I highly recommend the caviar pie as a starter. Will definitely go again soon. "

  • "omg, can't say enough good things about this place! Been there 3 times and each time and very consistently outstanding. Just wish they would allow a minor substitution, such as exchanging vegetables with the entrée. Pork belly anything here is awesome and not to be missed. Definitely on our list of "must go here again". Nice atmosphere. Great for romantic dinners or business meetings. White table cloths, great service, great wine list, yet not a stuffy place. They helped put together a surprise gift presented to my husband during dessert. Awesome!!!"

  • "Great service in an inviting atmosphere. I had the pork chop and it was wonderful at the beginning, but by the end the seasoning was a little overpowering. My wife had the walleye and while very good, it was not great. The salad, appetizers, wine and sides were impressive. Our server was excellent. A place we would try again."

  • "Whenever we want a special dining treat, Late Harvest is always our first choice and it never disappoints. Our server, Douglas, answered every question with knowledge and insight and his recommendations were spot on. On this evening, the caviar pie was our starter and we could have just ordered three more and stopped!! Out of this world! And the grilled broccoli! Wow!"

  • "We eat at Late Harvest periodically as it is the best restaurant within ten minutes of our house. The meal is never disappointing. This past visit, the service was excellent. We each ordered a fish special and the whole fish was expertly filleted at our table. The hazelnut cake for dessert was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant! "
