La Parisienne Bistro and CafeFabulous French food. AwesomeFabulous French food. Awesome crepes. Alain is a wonderful host. We ordered escargots as a starter and he threw in a second order for free. Excellent service.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNew FavoriteFirst visit for Mother's Day brunch - surprising 12:30 reservation available! Never heard of La Parisienne because do not work downtown - probably thriving lunch business. Excellent food and menu choices for Sunday brunch- breakfast and dinner options. La Coastal crepe delicious - others had poached eggs on crabcake. Divinie desserts, especially the sweet berry crepe and Creme Brule.
Owner is delightful Frenchman, as is one of the waiters - very accomodating. Our dark haired, twenty-something waitress may have been new - not good at describing dishes and just OK on service.
This may be my new brunch and bistro dinner hang out. Prices are reasonable.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the drive. World class crepeExtraordinary crepes. Get out of the west end of Richmond and take a visit. We went for Mother's Day and we were treated to wonderful service and the most delicious crepes I've had in my life! We tried their savory and their sweet. Tres magnifique! We will definitely return again. The owner was very kind and attentive to the guests in the restaurant. A great restaurant.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMy daughter, wife, motherlawMy daughter, wife, motherlaw and myself went to La Parisienne on Mother's Day and it was a very enjoyable culminary experience. The food was fantastic, we had a great table with a wonderful view of downtown and the service was outstanding. We are looking forward to going back for one of their Salsa Nights after meeting the owner and dj.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic find in RichmondWe have been looking for a good restaurant in Richmond for quite some time and were delighted to find La Parisienne. The food was delicious, the service warm, friendly and professional, and the wine was exceptional. The owner adds a very warm and person touch to dining there. We cannot wait to go back and eat there again!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful couples eveningProves great French & other food does not have to be outrageously expensive. Varied menu choices--all delicious. Superb service. Often lunch there. First dinner experience makes it worth repeating.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have eaten twice at LaWe have eaten twice at La Parisienne and have tried four different entrees and each has been absolutely delicious. I have had the salmon and veal from the regular menu, my wife has had the duck breast and a lamb special - all equally delicious. We were too full to eat one of their wonderful crepe desserts but, at the waiter's suggestion, tried the Grand Marnier creme brulee - it was a "just right" ending to a wonderful meal. Sometimes, small things make a big impression - the bread here is warm, crusty french bread served with honey butter and the waiter notices when you are running low and volunteers to bring more! All in all, one of the best restaurants in Richmond.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden gem...My husband and I had a wonderful bistro experience at La Parisienne. The food is very good-- solid bistro fare. We had the quail and veal dishes and both were good (-particularly the veal, although my husband preferred the quail.) The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are extraordinarily reasonable. The staff is full of European charm and very welcoming and attentive. It was the perfect spot for a quiet date night, off the beaten path. Oh, and did I mention the dessert crepes and chocolate mousse?!?4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMRUN, DON'T WALK to La ParisienneRUN, DON'T WALK to La Parisienne Bistro! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is friendly and professional (though we did have to wait a while to get our bill - but a musical group was setting up and I believe our waiter thought we wanted to stay for the music!) In addition to being delicious, the entrees are reasonably priced and beautifully presented. We had two of their salads and both were wonderful. The two sides we ordered were equally good and the crepe we shared was sinfully delicious. It really was like being in a bistro in Paris - without the attitude!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was very good. MusicFood was very good. Music was at times grating. Wine list somewhat limited. Service was initially spotty, but when pointed out they bent over backwards to correct.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMRisotto was amazing and theRisotto was amazing and the price was definitely was just right3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great meal that tastedHad a great meal that tasted wonderful.
