La Caille is Utah's premier luxury dining experience. Located on 20 acres of Salt Lake's most coveted Little Cottonwood Canyon property, La Caille's grounds offer breathtaking views, manicured gardens, canyon rivers, lush vineyards, winding brick lanes and authentic French decor. La Caille itself is housed in an 18th century French-inspired Chateau. Guests dine in one of three unique dining rooms and, during summer months, on one of our three spectacular patios.     This was our first time coming and it was utterly amazing! We came for the Father’s Day brunch and I can happily say our expectations were blown out of the water. Our server was very kind and did his job well. The food was cooked to perfection and even their drinks were good. I think a real highlight was the steak and chimichuri sauce it was to die for. The French toast was no slouch either and was delicious. I would highly recommend coming here and the vibes are so whimsical it’s a truly great dinning experience overall.

    We went for Father’s Day and it was really special. The food was really good. We did order cocktails and they took forever so we ended up only getting one which is no big deal but would’ve been nice to not get it halfway through our meal.

    Our Father’s Day brunch at La Caille was amazing! We sat outside and it is absolutely beautiful. Food and service was top notch! We will definitely be back. We loved walking around the grounds after and seeing swan, ducks and peacocks with baby peacocks 💕

    From delicious drinks in the bar to start, to amazing food, to the best ambiance in Salt Lake City, our experience was superb. Koby was our server and did a beautiful job taking care of us all evening. Highly recommended.

    Outstanding meal experience. Celebrated a family birthday and we were very impressed with the overall atmosphere and hospitality. Food was excellent. Loved the after dinner walk around the area with views of the mountains, the stream, the peacocks and the swan.

    The grounds are beautiful. FOOD: we ordered the Salmon and filet mignon. The salmon was very plain. There was supposed to be a citrus sauce on the salad with it but if there was, it was undetectable. It was cooked perfectly. We ordered the filet Med, but it was med well and well in some places. We don’t like to send food back so we didn’t say anything. For the prices, the food should be flavorful and cooked correctly each time. Was definitely disappointed. The tiramisu was very pretty to look out and was pretty good, but again, lacked the flavors you’d expect from tiramisu. AMBIENCE: We sat outside and it was absolutely stunning. The live music was a nice surprise. When the band was done the restaurant music went on and it was a little loud, overtaking the natural sounds of the outside and was an odd mix of heavy metal and softer music. In a place like this I would expect the music to be lower and match the ambience of the grounds. Overall we had a lovely time, but don’t think we’d go back for dinner based on the quality of food vs prices.

    Exceptional food, great service, and lovely ambience. La Caille holds their reputation for a reason! We had the classics to start - escargot and french onion soup, delicious and rich - and then the Filet Mignon and the Bouillabaisse for entrees. The filet was a significant sized portion, bigger than the usual medallions you see, and cooked amazingly. Nicely seared crust on the outside and melted in the mouth, and the sauce on top was an accent not trying to steal the show. The potato and vegetable accompaniments were rich and savory too. The Bouillabaisse was a delicious seafood stew with a hint of Southeast Asian curry spice, like a very mild green Thai curry, and the scallops in it were tender and lovely. We had the Quail Run Cabernet which was very easy to drink and paired wonderfully with the Filet, and then the Lemon Meringue Bar for dessert which was a perfect light summer treat. Ashley, our server, was very attentive and friendly and we felt very well taken care of. The grounds are of course gorgeous and it was nice to go for a quick stroll after dinner on our way out. We will absolutely be back for other special occasions in the near future!

    The construction on the way in makes the road precarious and does not meet the reputation this place has had. The food is high priced and nothing special and the Sunday brunch menu limited. My husbands eggs Benedict hardly had any hollandaise sauce, the eggs were over cooked the ham dried out and flavorless and it cost $37. The elk sausage wasn’t any better than what I could buy at any grocery store. However the croissants were great…and should be for a reputable French restaurant. We told them when we made our reservation it was a special occasion…40th wedding anniversary. They did nothing to make it special even when we reminded them as they were seating us. The online texts saying our table was ready before we arrived we’re not accurate and led us to expect a much better experience. We wish we had gone somewhere else to celebrate our special occasion.
