For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula, along with a wine cave/private dining room for special dinners/events.

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Kula Lodge & Restaurant is open 7 days a week for Brunch, Happy Hour and Dinner. There is also a retail shop and 5 hotel rooms on property. Call for more info!

    The service was excellent. The food was just OK, we had a salad and pizza. To be honest it seemed like they may be cutting costs, there were two small cherry tomatoes on the salad and very little meat on the pizza. The restaurant needs some updating it looks tired.

    We requested outdoor seating. Drove over an hour to get there from where we were staying. Upon arrival I was told we couldn’t sit outside bc they were having their power turned off in 45 min. They had known the day before (at least) because I mentioned it would have been nice to know earlier so I could have canceled. We were sat by a window and the view was pretty just not what I had wanted. I also felt a bit rushed since their power was being turned off bc they needed to get our bill paid and food prepared before that happened and since our reservation was near the shut off time it just felt rushed. I’m sure it’s not something that happens often it was just very disappointing when I had made reservations for something specific during our vacation and drove a significant amount of time to get there. The food was very good though and my daughter is gluten free and they had a lot of options for her. I was just disappointed in the service and lack of consideration.

    We went for lunch on Monday so it was really quiet during that time. We sat outside and it was amazing! We had such a good time. Our food was SO good. My husband had prawns and a caesar salad, I had a margherita pizza, and my kids had a pepperoni pizza. SO SO GOOD. Good service, reasonable prices, astounding views. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend.

    Kula Lodge is always a beautiful place to dine. We always dine outside and the view of the valley below is beautiful and expansive. The food and service is great every time. We love the wood-fired pizza.

    Found my new favorite restaurant! Loved the outdoor gazebo and the food & cocktails were delicious. Came for brunch for my son’s 35th birthday and he loved it! Two of us had the Turkey croissant sandwich and his partner had the oatmeal brûlée - we would all definitely order it again but will have to try something new the next time. Service was attentive and welcoming! Can’t wait to go back!

    If you need a little break from the heat, sun, sand, and saltwater, this is one of our favorites to visit when we come to Maui. Great location in nice cool but cozy up country Maui with a wonderful view of the valley (or clouds!) below. It’s worth visiting just to see the outdoor pizza oven and maybe even partake! All the servers are excellent and super friendly. Love this place so much we drove up from Keihi twice!

    We had a 1 pm reservation for a Father's Day treat, but after being seated we waited an hour for the appetizers and entrees we ordered. No food ever arrived. Our waitress avoided us. Other tables were served and finished eating. After an hour we let the manager know we were walking out to find some lunch somewhere else.

    Everything was super! The food was so delicious - I recommend the ravioli appetizer and the tuna. There was a gentleman playing music, taking requests - it added to the experience. Our waitress was terrific! Five star experience - mahalo nui loa!

    A great place to stop after watching the sunrise on Haleakalā. Food is excellent and you can get lunch for breakfast (if your body hasn’t made the time change from the mainland).
