A word from Killen's Steakhouse
Don’t let our building fool you, we are an upscale steakhouse right in the heart of Pearland. We are the only restaurant in town serving Allen Brothers USDA prime beef, as well as the prestigious Texas-raised Akaushi Kobe beef. Certified Executive Chef Ron Killen has returned to his home town after training at Le Cordon Bleu and honing his culinary skills throughout the U.S. Our hand-cut steaks are cooked to perfection on a state of the art infrared broiling system that seals in the natural juices of the steak, creating a one of a kind “melt in your mouth” experience. All of our food is prepared fresh daily, using only the finest produce and freshest ingredients. Even our sinfully rich desserts are homemade and the only thing frozen in our kitchen is the ice cream! Come in and see what the whole country is talking about!Continued

  • "Went to celebrate milestone in our son's life and it was absolutely perfect! Best steak we have ever had anywhere....Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, San Francisco...we've had steaks at all the famous steakhouses, as we love our steaks...this was by far the absolute best! the bone in wagyu steak was phenomenal! the cream corn was also unforgettable and their cream brulee-bread pudding was insane. This restaurant if very expensive....but was absolutely worth it!!"

  • "We had reservations on a Thursday night. We were seated promptly. Our server, Lance, took ddrink orders right away. THe menu's are printed daily so they can take advantage of ingredients they can get fresh rather than trying to buy to suit the menu. It is a diverse menu, unbelievable choices for steak. Lots of non-steak ooptions as well. Calmari for appetizer was pan fried and had a bit of kick to it. We had an 8 oz filet and a 16 oz ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. We had the au gratin potatoes and mushrooms as sides. Very good. Dessert was key lime pie. Very refreshing and light after a heavy meal. Service was impeccable. Would definitely return if we are ever in the area again."

  • "The best steakhouse in Houston is actually a little south of Houston: Pearland. Reservation is a must, very expensive, and leave room for the carrot cake."

  • "Hubby & I always love coming to Killen's. Everything is five stars and only other steak I've had that comes close is Mastro's in Scotsdale, AZ. Can't wait to go back next month!"

  • "The steak was over-priced and disappointing. It came out warm, but not hot, and the taste was not robust. The creamed corn was outstanding, however. Overall, and given the fact it is a steakhouse, I can only term my visit to be disappointing."

  • "My husband and I chose to dine here for our 25th anniversary. We were seated at a table in the middle of a small room and then saw the room fill up with a large noisy group. I informed them at time of reservation that we were coming for our anniversary. A table in the side room were it would have been a little quieter would have been nice. The Jumbo lump crab cake and french onion soup were perfect. Our steaks were cooked just right and had great flavor. The potatoes au ratin were a little too cheesy but the Broccoli & Cheese Risotto was delicious. We also enjoyed the Bread Pudding but would have liked more of the sauce. My husband had to send back the Tom Collins he ordered as it was not prepared correctly.."

  • "My husband and two grown sons had a wonderful meal while sitting next to BJ Watts (he is a regular). I am not a big fan of crabcakes but this appetizer was the best I have ever tried! One of my sons who order them frequently agreed. we all agreed the wet aged steaks were the best (none of us ordered the Kobe) over the dry aged and grass fed choices."

  • "I have been to many steakhouses around the Houston area in my sixty plus years and this was truly the best food and service. The crab and shrimp appetizers were so delicious and the salad with the Roquefort Dressing was excellent. The steaks were cooked to exactly what each of us wanted. This is definitely our "special occasion place"."

  • "For appetizers we had the jumbo lump crabcake. I absolutely love crabcakes and read it was the best in Houston. I will admit that it was delicious. However, my favorite is still Vic and Anthony's crabcakes. We ordered the 27oz Bone in Ribeye 100% Grassfed American Wagyu steak. I shared it with my date and it was cooked perfectly. It was excellent! Everything I experienced was true to the reviews read previously. Definitely recommended! Next time I go back, I will have to try the Japanese Wagyu!"

  • "The food is excellent but the service is a little below what I would expect for a restaurant in that price range."

  • "If you're into beef, like, REALLY into beef, this is your place. The menu shows beef from multiple states...each with multiple cuts available...and different curing techniques. Carrot cake was best desert I've ever had at a restaurant. Be mindful that you will drop some serious $$$$ having a proper dinner here. If you're really into beef, it's worth it."

  • "We have been many times. We come from Sugar Land and will continue to go! This time was a birthday dinner for my daughters. Wait staff was excellent. Very friendly to the kids. Treated them with kindness and respect. Steaks are done to perfection! Every salad is so delicious. Beet salad is my favorite. Don't miss the NY cheesecake, it is absolutely the creamiest I have ever had! My favorite dessert is the creme brûlée bread pudding! Go and enjoy if you have never been. You won't regret it!!!"

  • "Great Food, Great Service, Went on a Monday night to mark the occasion of my son being sent to overseas with the USMC. The only problem we encountered was the table to our left had a group of seven with a couple of LOUD talkers who were able to turn down the volume only after their entrees were served. Across the room was a party of 17 and they became very hard of hearing as their drinks were consumed. These two attributes were the only draw backs to the dining experience. It was good!"

  • "Killen's was exceptional. The appetizer (Crab Cakes), the steaks (Dry Aged), the sides (Wild Mushrooms and Baked Potato), and the desert were all exceptional. The service was also exceptional (thanks Larry!). It was expensive by worth the price! Also it's a pretty loud...that was the only downside for us."

  • "My husband and I love eating great food We have been to all the upscale steakhouses in many states when traveling and killen's has been the best place in flavorable steaks Knowledgable staff and service I myself am celiac and can't have gluten I was concerned but waiter was great and knowledgable and took the extra effort needed He spoke with chef about making my food without gluten and they did a great job I was able to try several bites from different side dishes we ordered and it was all fantastic I highly recommend killen's The food and service is a+ I will be a regular here And price is well worth every scrumptious bite"

  • "My husband and I are meat lovers. We came with a group of friends with very high expectations. The side dishes were great, loved the corn risotto! The pecan pie was the best we have had, and the wine we ordered was really good. We ordered the steak well done, as we usually order it everywhere, but it came too cooked, very dry and with no juices at all. I have had better steaks for a fraction of the price. On the other side, one of my friends ordered it medium-we'll and the taste and texture was amazing. Overall, it was a nice experience. I could go back and ask them to just not overcook my well-done steak."

  • "I have been to Killen's over 20 times now...the meals are always consistent and well prepared...there have been maybe 5 times where the meal was just over the top outstanding r some reason...this was not one of those times, but the foot was still consistent and great! I still think it s a very good deal as steakhouses go. I will continue to be an avid and regular customer!"

  • "This was our third time dining at Killen's. Once again, everything was impeccable. The steaks were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My husband's fish was also very good. Our waiter, Dan, was knowledgeable, helpful and present. The expediters make sure that water and tea glasses stay full. The side dishes were as good as the main course, as always. You have to try the potatoes au gratin, creamed corn and creamed spinach. The desserts are huge and fabulous. Try the crème brulee or the carrot cake. The martinis were some of the best I've had - crisp and perfectly made. Can't wait till our next visit. Be sure to make reservations well in advance. I made reservations for Friday night at 7 p.m. four weeks in advance - worth it!."

  • "AWESOME!!! The BEST steaks in the Houston area. All courses of the meal were great from the appetizer to the dessert. A real hidden gem in Pearland. You will not be disappointed.,"

  • "Great steaks with a variety available: dry or wet aged and grain or grass fed. Starters and sides are decent, but the focus is the meat.. Carrot cake was also very good. Good wine list with a variety of price points. The service was great. Worth a drive for Houston City for a nice occasion."

  • "For our first time at this restaurant we were disappointed. We've been to Killen's on numerous occasions and we usually love it- the food, the service, the ambiance. But our server was awful this past weekend! He was very smug and rude. He wouldn't even wait for us to finish giving our order before he was already walking away. He wanted nothing to do with us because apparently we were beneath him or he didn't feel it would be worth the time to actually serve us. This is not usual for the restaurant...normally our servers have been fabulous, so we noticed it right away. The food was terrific as usual, but the terrible service really spoiled the evening for us."

  • "Five different types of beef and several cuts of steak for each type. We got the least expensive and it was excellent. Would like try a level up just to know what a better steak is. Save room for carrot cake, if not get it to go. Will definitely go back."

  • "I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to acknowledge in particular the hospitality of Chef Teddy. After enthusiastically polishing off a full side dish of mac and cheese, our 12 year-old had asked our waiter if he could get the recipe. A few minutes later Chef Teddy was tableside walking us through the ingredients and steps. What a great guy, so nice of him to take the time to come out to the dining room to speak to our son! Thanks Chef Teddy, the meal was amazing and we really enjoyed the opportunity to visit with you."

  • "Perfect service to go with the perfect dinner. The staff was very knowledgeable about the dishes which helped me make my decision on the right cut of meat and the right seasoning. Next time, I'll choose a smaller cut of meat to leave room for the side dishes and desserts. The calamari is a MUST and the wet seasoned filet is delicious and tender!!! Looking forward to the next dinner there!!!"

  • "My son and his wife were visiting us from NYC. They can dine at the best restaurants in the county where they live, but they can't get Texas style steaks! I had been telling my son about Killen's, the nice wine list and the incredible steaks, so after attending the rodeo on a rainy Saturday night, we headed to Killen's. Our meal was fabulous--my son ordered a bone-in selection that looked like something even a caveman wouldn't be able to finish. The corn risotto we had as a side was so different and delicious. About the only stumble was that our first two picks of wine were not in stock--the good thing about that was that we tried something we had never had before!"

  • "For the longest time Pappa's was my go-to place for the best dry-aged ribeye in Houston...until I went to Killen's. Killen's ribeye now tops my list with Pappa's in a close second. I will definitely be coming back for more. Also, their crabcakes and carrot cake were as equally amazing!"

  • "The restaurant was upscale, crowded, and yet still elegant. Fantastic wait staff and experience, but I thought the food overall was just okay. The steaks tasted like beef...no seasoning, sauce, or anything special, just beef. The mashed potatoes tasted like the box kind, but the green beans were out of this world - well-flavored, and a perfect crunch! We also had a panko-crusted meatball appetizer - eh. If you don't mind blood on your plate, go for it; otherwise, steer clear! No dessert for us this time around, but maybe next time when I just get chicken instead."
