I understand it caters to the tourists and Heavenly crowd, so it's much more of a "special occasion" restaurant for the locals.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AM1st time kamaaina visitorOur family has been visiting the Heavenly gondola location yearly since it was built, annual+ visitor to lake tahoe for over 20 years, yet we have never visited this restaurant for a meal. We decided to try only new locations this season. Kalani's was a pleasant surprise. Early dinner accomodating reservations, friendly staff, and the food was excellent. While it was not the best we've ever had, it was very good. They have a wide selection of choices plus many other menu items. We decided to sit in the bar and our service was outstanding.
