  • "We chose Jonahtns as it has been recommended to us and were not disappointed. The sashimi appetizer was perfect and the branzino perfectly moist. The only criticism was from my husband who felt the menu choices were pretty standard. The service was welcoming and the hostess put us at the quiet table 2 steps up in the back of the restaurant. Perfect for old friends who had lots f catching up to do."

I especially liked artichokes woven into the menu, with several different offerings. Obviously in season. The baby artichoke appetizer was special. As the prices are quite high, we'll save our next visit for a special occasion again."

I ordered the tuna medium rare and it was cooked through and dry. My guests said their food was equally unexciting."

  • "We have had very nice meals here in the past, but our most recent visit was very disappointing. It began with the host's refusal to seat us before our entire party had arrived. This is their standard policy and to me seems very annoying and inconsiderate to guests. The restaurant was very busy and extremely noisy. We did have a very bad table which was wedged between the bar and the area where other diners were queing ( perhaps also waiting for tardy members of their party) so we were constantly jostled during our dinner. The service was indifferent. The food was the biggest disappointment. The salmon was covered with a cold tasteless green paste made from fava beans. The pasta bolognese was like chef boyardee. We will not return "

  • "We love going to Paola's for the terrific food and ambiance, but feel rushed when we're there. It has become so popular that they fill the tables as soon as diners leave. For starters, try their Insalata Di Indivia or the Insalata Di Barbe, both wonderful. For the main course I love the Anatra. Best pastas are the Trofie, Pappardelle Con Ragu Di Anatra, or their Fettuccine Alla Bolognese. For dessert, you can't go wrong with the Frutta Con Zabbalione. If you want great food in a beautiful space and don't mind the proximity of other diners or the hefty price tag, it's truly wonderful. We will be back, but will may ask for a 2 hour slot when we make our next reservation. "

  • "Not knowing the area or restaurants, I needed to depend on other's reviews to pick a place to eat while visiting our son, who just moved into the area. Jonathan's lived up to its reputation. Quiet lunchtime atmosphere. Great service--didn't feel rushed. Delicious and flavorful food. Even my fussy mother-in-law loved it. Can't wait to go back and try the dinner menu next time we are in the area."
