  • "We are well travelled, were totally elated to find foie gras!!!!!! Excellent, excellent!!! Anniversary trip to area, all food well prepared, wine selection left up to waitress...excellent choices!! Will return when in area again."

  • "Service was slow. The waitress got the order wrong for appetuzers, salads and main course. It was like she was not even listening. Never came to table to check on us, we had to ask other servers to get her. It was not that busy for her to be so slow or mess up orders. If we ever went back, I would make sure we did not have the same waitress."

  • "We have been meaning to eat at Jolie's since we moved here last July, we have tried many of the lovely restaurants Lafayette have to offer and just as we suspected this one does not disappoint! The menu was filled with many delicious choices, which made it difficult to choose, which isn't a bad thing! The food came in good time, the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. The Steak and Egg was oh so good! We can't wait to return and taste the other menu dishes."

  • "In NOLA for a convention and drove to Lafayette to visit the Rodrigue gallery. Dinner at Jolie's was superb! Nancy was an excellent server! Food and wine were perfect and unique, especially the bacon-wrapped-ricotta-stuffed dates, gnocchi, filet, and pompano special...and crème brulee for dessert. Also enjoyed the George Rodrigue art...everywhere we looked!"

  • "Met with a client while in the Lafayette area, and this place came highly recommended. Staff was very friendly and food was great. Very nice atmosphere. I will definitely make this a usual spot when in the area."

  • "I dine at Jolie's two or more times a month and found in the last few weeks the food has been even better. I am told there is a new chef and she has outshined the previous chef. I have noted a couple of things changed but not necessarily for the better. The crab cakes are great but noted the overabundance of greenery and less crabmeat overall. Nice to have the bone marrow cut length wise...smart move. One comment regarding the service, service is not consistant. Bread and butter should be brought automatically and not requested. The waiters also need to be well versed in the menu. Not sure is not an answer. Service is stronger the busier the restaurant is..... Friendly staff."

  • "This place is very nice. It is very clean. The hostess and waitress we had were both very welcoming and the food was excellent! The oysters although did not come raw on a half shell and cooked only were delicious as well as the Prince Edward mussels. This place has 5 star service and food! I would definitely recommend it to my friends."

  • "The food was delicious! Everything from appetizers to entrees. I recommend the mussels! Yummy!"

  • "First time to visit the restaurant: found it beautiful, relaxing and romantic. Each course was on par with the ambiance. Was recommended by friends over another, newer restaurant which is currently more en vogue. It did not disappoint."

  • "The parking lot was completely empty at 11 am on a Sunday. Unheard of in Lafayette. The restaurant we usually go to has at least an hour wait and most restaurants that serve brunch don't take reservations at all. We chose Jolie's because we thought it might be quieter and it was my mom's 75th birthday. We had four brunch entrees, shrimp and grits, egg frittata, scallops and eggs and crab benedict. All under seasoned and overcooked. We didn't drink and for four people, three small ladies and a man, the bill was 140.00 before tip. I don't blink at spending that at brunch for just my husband and I, but I was embarrassed at the poor quality of food and so disappointed that I had chosen Jolie's to celebrate such a special day."

  • "I've eaten here several times now and it's always fantastic. Seriously, everything on the menu tastes amazing. I went with groups of friends a couple times and we just shared all the entrees and they were all great. You have to try the tuna steak at least once, it's the best (in my opinion) but no matter what you won't be disappointed."

  • "Jolie's is one of our favorite place in Lafayette to visit. Normally, we would have no complaints about the visit, but service was not good today."

  • "Some of the most unique and tasty fish dishes I've ever enjoyed. Zapp's crusted drum and yellow fine tuna were exquisite as was the wine!"

  • "This restaurant has been inconsistent in last 6 months. 3 most recent visits have Dissapointed with 4 less than delicious entres. 2 visits ago sauce for raw oysters was an additional charge. Have never experienced this."

  • "Excellent food and service. Our first time to eat at Jolie's but definitely not our last."

  • "I have eaten at some of t finest restaurants in the south. This is not one of them. The chef loves the bell pepper. We ordered the oysters ...big chewy and the bienville was pasty densely rich and awful. We searched through the menu for something else without the bell pepper. That took 3 trips to the kitchen. I ordered the shrimp and grits were good but the roux was far too rich and not great. The Louie was supposed to be "baby" kales but they were "braising" kales - thick chewy and nothing tender except the crab meat and big /huge slabs of a blandly fried eggplant. Our wine arrived at the end of the meal. I overheard someone at another table who was obviously a local say they loved the hamburger there -"

  • "Very good food and nice servers. Loved that they used local farmers and purveyors. Made us a great non-alcoholic cocktail!"

  • "I recently returned to Lafayette, after living in Portland OR for many years. Portland is known nationwide for its great restaurants. Jolie's is comparable to the Portland restaurant scene. I will definitely return. Service, ambience, and food were excellent."

  • "For a romantic dinner Jolie's can hardly be beaten. The ambiance is great and the restaurant is usually quiet. It has been around for a while but is still undiscovered, possibly because the menu sounds eclectic. Their fish entrees are usually great, last week it was black grouper with a delicious generous portion. Their salmon is also excellent and the appetizer oysters Jolie are as good as any Bienville you can find."

  • "It's good to know that Jolie's is open onSaturday and Sundays for brunch. The dining room and patio were full of people who apparently were loving their food and experience. Wait staff is excellent and the farm to table products add full flavor to all the dishes. We loved the special little biscuits served as a on table treat. Highly recommend."

  • "Out of 4 things that we ordered (main courses) Did not know about any specials for the evening (server did not say) Wrong food brought to our table No apology from server Server very rude and clearly did not want to be serving us at all"

  • "With Jolie's, you get an art gallery along with the restaurant. Kind of off the beaten path if you're looking for a stop along I-10, but not hard to find and worth the effort. Staff was attentive and friendly. I thought the gumbo was okay. The BarBQ Shrimp and Grits was very good. I'm picky about grits and these grits were spot on. The sauce was New Orleans style with lots of herbs and spices. I had a peek at what other diners were eating, and I will likely visit again to try other dishes."

  • "Food and service was excellent. It was very nice that the manager, Chelsie, had came visit the table for small conversation and great advice for wine. She is awesome!"

  • "If you have a slightly more sophisticated palette and love good food, this is the place for you! We started with Roasted bone marrow & foie gras, both of which were sublime. An excellent Sazerac cocktail as a digestif rounded the meal nicely! Nice ambience in this restaurant, and even though it is big, it felt cosy."

  • "We loved everything about this experience! The restaurant itself was gorgeous - the George Rodrigue art was a feast for the eyes! Our server was very knowledgable and was happy to give us suggestions from the menu. My drink from the bar was superb - exactly the way I like it! The crab cake appetizer was excellent, and could have been the main course because it was a generous size. Seafood salad was great, desert was a brownie with peanut butter ice cream. All was fantastic! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "This is the statement that drove me to want to try this restaurant. The salad was a real treat with fresh kale an tomatoes. I would visit again."

  • "We visit Lafayette every year for Festivals Acadien. Last year we had an excellent dinner at Jolie's, so we tried it again this year. It was even better. Barbecued shrimp appetizer was outstanding. Gumbo was very good. Duck entree was tough, but fish stew was wonderful. Breads were very good, and desserts likewise. Good wine list. Original Rodrigue paintings throughout the restaurant added to the atmosphere."
    Dined on 10/11/2013
  • "Food was good, but I found that it was rather short on entry selections. Service was outstanding, place is elegant, and overall a nice place to go. We only had lunch, so the evening selections maybe broader."

  • "This is one of our favorite places to dine before attending a show in the Oil Center or on UL campus. Also, having Celiac, I feel comfortable eating gluten free there,"

  • "Jolie's is a very pleasant place to spend an evening. However, while the food is competently prepared, it does not blow you away. The best dish of the evening was the Rabbit Bites. The Quail Gumbo was under-seasoned and the duck entree was a bit bland. On the plus side, the wine list is interesting and reasonably priced. So, as I say, good but not great."
