  • "Stopped in to eat before heading to see Zarkana and I'm so glad we did. Great wine list and easily navigated. I had the Wagyu filet Oscar with crab and the creamed corn, all of which were fabulous. My husband and my best friend's husband had the 8oz filet Oscar with crab as well but with lobster mashed potatoes. Those potatoes were out of this world. Steaks were cooked perfectly. My best friend had the sea bass and grilled asparagus and loved every bite. Oh and dessert was so delicious. Churros with cinnamon ice cream and caramelized bananas for the win. Definitely made some foodie friends jealous with pics."

  • "The service, especially our waiter Nabil, were horrible. We would go 10s of mins without refills of even water. Our food came out cold and we were never checked out on. Entrees and sides are quite expensive and given all of the competition of other high end steak houses this one is definitely not worth it."

  • "very disappointed. Terrible at timing our food. The appetizers came too fast before we had had a sip of our cocktails. This has never been an issue at high caliber restaurant such as this that we have attended in the past. This caliber restaurant is often excellent at providing you an excellent culinary experience. About a minute or two after our appetizer was done, the main course arrived. My meat was cold and the plate on which it was served was barely warm. Likely the food had been prepared way too early and sat under a warm light or on the counter before it was delivered. Very disappointed with the timing of the whole thing. This was not a culinary experience we had hoped for at these prices."

  • "After reading the other reviews I was hesitant to take a group of 4 friends to this restaurant for a birthday party, but thought I would take the risk - and it paid off. Don't listen to the poor reviews on here - this steakhouse was incredible. Everything from the service and decor to the actual steak was impeccable. Even the bathrooms were impressive - loved the sinks! Overall though we had a fantastic meal with stellar service - our waiter and his team could not have been more attentive, non-pushy and even put up with a friend who questioned the prices and then ordered the burger...which happened to be one of the best he's ever had. I will return next time I'm in Vegas! Thank you Jean Georges team - I wish you much success."

  • "The restaurant is set back at the end of a corridor. Frontage is a bit muted. Mood lighting is evident as soon as you walk inside. I half expected a Luther Vandross song to be playing. Noise level was moderate so it can definitely help you get cozy and in the mood. Doris, our server, was great. Very friendly and personable. The wine selection is nice; even if it's a bit on the high side. Food came out piping hot. Tomahawk steak was enormous. Salmon was prepared nearly rare as requested which is surprisingly difficult for many places to do right. Steaks were cooked just right. Great cuts. Very, very tender. Well worth the extra cost for the Kobe. Presentation at Wolfgang's Cut was slicker, but the food here was comparable."

  • "We were extremely disappointed with our dining experience at Jean Georges. We have no problems paying a premium dollar for a well deserving meal, this was awful. The steak was not flavorful, and the baked potatoes were horrible. We will continue to dine at Hank's in green valley when we want to splurge on a great meal. This was not worth the money spent at all. Several average chain restaurant's steak dinners are better then this at a 1/4 of the cost."

  • "The food at Jean Georges was good, though both our filets were overcooked. Dessert was excellent. Service left much to be desired. We saw the sommelier to initially pour our two bottles of wine, then never saw him again. We poured ourselves the rest of the meal. It also took us nearly 30 minutes to pay from the time we placed our credit cards on the table until they were retrieved and a final bill was ready for signature."

  • "First visit to a Jean Georges Steakhouse. Ordered from Early Evening Menu: Caesar Salad, 8 oz Filet Mignon, and New York Cheesecake. This is a tasting menu. Salad, plentiful; enhanced with lemon and chili. Fillet served with four trial portions of steak sauces all, surprisingly, worked extremely well. Quite honestly, I have never had steak that was better prepared! Think: Joe Pantoliano, Cypher, in "The Matrix," My steak was real; Cypher's is not. Dark wood paneling, low lighting enhanced by candlelight, contributed to a romantic atmosphere. A very good destination to celebrate a special occasion. It is not cheap, by any means."

  • "This is a beautiful restaurant. I really wanted to love it. The appetizer came out so fast I never had time to enjoy my cocktail. My steak was delicious, but for $100 (just the steak price) I should love it. My potato was cold, and my 2 servers never came by to ask if things were ok. I got attitude when I didn't like the wine. There are restaurants with hiring and training that insures service is perfect, and those that don't seem to care if you ever come back. This one is the latter."

  • "We were seated at a table against a wall in an area next to a "bus cart", although there were many other tables available in better locations. The steaks, which were their USDA prime, were tough and overcooked. We ordered them medium rare, assuming they would cook them true, and got meat that was closer to medium. There were long waits in between courses, and the wait staff was pretentious. Expected a delightful evening meal, and got a $400.00 experience that would have been overpriced at one-quarter of that amount."

  • "The service was horrible, the server only checked on us immediately after the food was dropped even with empty wine glasses and the fact that we left most of our food un-eaten. The exterior of the steak was so tough the steak knife couldn't cut it and the lobster mashed potatoes were anything but. After waiting 20 plus minutes, the busser cleared our plates of un-eaten food and the server miraculously showed up and asked us if we had a chance to see the dessert menu or if we were ready for the check. Considering he never brought us the menu and he clearly was rushing us we declined dessert. For the price, location, and ambiance I would have expected 5 star service, but this was worse than any chain restaurant."

  • "The restaurant was tucked away in the Aria and it was totally divine. We were celebrating a birthday that night and the staff made it a night to remember. The service was excellent and very attentive but not overbearing. The food was absolute fabulous. The best place we ate while in Vegas. The group all tried a different signature drink that was not only refreshing but also carried a punch. Will definately eat at this location the next time we are in town. The comments from the group on the food were "terrific", "ahh", "tender", "divine". I would recommend this restaurant to any everyone. It has great meat and seafood so I think everyone would find something on the menu to enjoy."

  • "Third time there. Everything was excellent. Wine lady suggested a very nice Heitz Cellars 2009 Napa Cab. All the sides were great, service was perfect and steaks (Strip, filet, 16 oz ribeye and their natural ribeye) were superb. A quibble; they were about $5-10 overpriced compared to other steakhouses. In the scheme of things, not huge but worth mentioning. Decor is a bit eclectic and even funky, but interesting. A little dark. Overall I would return."

  • "When I visited Vegas previously in March, I ate at Fleur in the Mandalay Bay. I expected Jean Georges to provided a comparable level of food service, but I was disappointed. The classic caesar salad was served "banquet style". It lacked any visual artistic interpretation. The steak was mildly seasoned. In contrast to the steak at Fleur which was outstanding, the Jean George steak needed all of the four sauces that were presented. A steak should stand on its own without any sauce. The dessert was the highlight of the meal. The warm chocolate cake was presented with a whimsical artistic flair. As a pastry chef, I would highly recommend the dessert. Should you order wine by the glass, ask the price. My bill listed a glass for $28."

  • "Went there while I was in town for the weekend. Started great, very attentive. Told them I wasn't in a rush, no shows, no place to be that evening. Appetizers and salads came out in 6 min. No problem there, excellent Caesar and Bacon wrapped shrimp. Next thing I know the wine was delivered (which I asked to come out with the meal) I was told the steaks were on their way out. 12 min total (not a leisurely service) I reiterated I wasn't in a rush, was asked how long and I said another 15 min. 40 min later our steaks came out. My Wife's was fine, mine was overcooked. In addition, I asked for the fries to be well done and was told they were cooked twice and very crisp, not so. The server also needs to know when to pour your wine."
