  • "The good: the server was more than patient and reactive to requests as well as complaints from our group of 7. Bread was very good. the bad: Wait Staff Cell Phone recharging in corner outlet by our our table. Luke Warm soup all around, which when redone was better, but not "piping hot" the way you would expect soup to be served. Special of the day, Prime Rib requested medium rare. Would expect something that melts in your mouth, but beef was served too rare and was rubbery."

  • "Sadly, Jameson's isn't my first choice for a nice dinner out with good food at a reasonable price. Now the food is just ok, the broccoli was chewy (not cooked but not raw), the lamb was something I could've made at home and would probably taste better. The sweet mash (sweet potato) was just ok. Salad was not made as I requested and soup was good but way too many peppers (chicken and rice). Overall just so, so, and if you are going to spend $30+ per person it should be something you want to eat with decent service. Probably moving this to my last choice for a steak house in the area. Oh and watch out for the booths, if someone is sitting behind you there will be a lot of back and forth with your back rest!"

  • "We had a very young, new waiter. He was a bit overwhelmed and quite slow. It took at least 10 minutes for him to come out and greet us and then order taking was very slow. In the past we have had numerous experiences where the service was way, way too fast - food brought out before one was done with the first course. This was the pendulum swinging to the other extreme. Food was good as always. Fried calamari were a bit too large and slightly rubbery. Looks like they changed sources of calamari as they used to be smaller rings and more tender. Mediterranean sea had a nice, mild and well balanced mixture of artichoke hearts, olives, tomatoes and onions. Grilled salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked. The rib eye was well charred and flavorful."

  • "The food was fairly priced and was very good. Our service was slow and we had to push for it. 15 min for first water, ask for bread, waiter forgot things, etc. Maybe just a bad waiter. But it caused unnecessary stress."

  • "Unfortunately we were told that there would be a 25 minute wait in spite of our Open Table reservation. We chose to sit in the bar area and enjoy immediate seating. A good decision!! Service was timely, the food was tasty and we enjoyed the time spent at Jameson's."

  • "I have dined there many times before. This time was the exception. The server was obviously overly busy and unable to properly attend to our needs. Our food took much longer than usual and then it was not hot. One of the orders was not correct and it took a very long time to even get someone to help us. Then this person still never brought out the correct part that was missing. Another person offered to correct this and still it never came. VERY disappointing to say the least. If this would have been our first time in, it would have been the last."

  • "We have been going to Jameson's for a long time. Got to know the hostess and manager quiet well. Just come to find out they are gone to the skokie Jameson's. The new staff is not as friendly and the management is missing. We are disappointed that the old team is gone."

  • "This is my 4th time to visit this location and it has been good everytime. This time a poorly trained young server almost ruined our meal but other staffers came to her rescue. For 30 dollar entrees, I would expect more tenured servers. When we asked how some questions about how things were prepared, she had no clue. All in all a good place to have a decent meal. Hopefully management will see this and address training."

  • "Our server really didn't want to be there and it showed. He disappeared for long stretches. He got my order wrong, bringing me a fish entree other than the one I ordered. Instead of waiting another half hour to get the correct one, I ate it. And he charged the $8 more for what I ate, rather than what I ordered. It cost him. We left a low tip. Maybe he got the message, but I don't think he really cared."

  • "I have visited Jameson's in The Glen on previous occasions and have always had a good time, enjoying good food with good friends. This last visit was the best so far. The food was presented better and had more robust flavor. The waitstaff seemed a bit more attentive and had great interaction with us. Also, the manager Andy stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our experience. I had not seen him there in the past, so I am going to assume the restaurant is under new management which is where the great changes are stemming from. He was very sincere, and was genuinely interested in making sure we were well taken care of. Keep up the great work! Look forward to coming back in again soon!"

  • "our first impression was the lights were turned all the way up, felt like I was in a fast food restaurant. Not what I'm used to from a steak house. Salads were good. However, we were both disappointed in plating of filets we ordered. All that was on it was a baked potato, filet, sour cream and the largest chunk of broccoli. Had to ask for butter, and the side of mushrooms we ordered. So very basic and boring. The only notable was the filet, bit dry without sauce or au jus. Sent our bottle of wine back, as it was not drinkable. (never done this before). Settled on 2 glasses of wine our waiter suggested, equivalent in cost to bottle we ordered. Restaurant was crowded, definitely caters to much older crowd."

  • "I may be a harsh review but it's only because I had higher exoectations. Our waiter was extremely polite and catering to our requests, it was his etiquette that was off (didn't ask how we wanted our drinks, tried to take my order before my wife's). The french onion soup tasted like campbells with stale bread and a dashing of parmesan cheese. Salas reminded me of shredded lettuce you buy at the grocery store for taco night. The steak I ordered was cooked to expectations and came with a giant steamed broccoli spear. Nothing special mashed potatoes. If looking for a step above Applebees, this is your spot. If you want to pay the same and get more quality, go to Wildfire."

  • "I've been here various times and always found the food awesome. Unfortunately, on my last visit I was very disappointed. My favorite the skirt steak was very blah. There was no evidence of the pineapple teriyaki marinade. Also, the grilled onions were a whole onion cut in sections with light grilling and no flavor, not what you would expect of typical grilled onions. Others in my group were unhappy with their choice of a fish special as there was no mention of lemon flavoring and the fish ended up having too much of a lemon taste. It'll be a while before I visit here again."

  • "I took my dad to dinner here on Father's Day, and had a 6pm reservation. Despite checking in promptly at 6, there was a wait of about 10 minutes before we were seated. The courses sometimes felt rushed, as some dishes with food on them were taken away without a question of whether the diner was done. While service was prompt, and the food was good, the atmosphere in the restaurant was too chaotic for our liking, and as a result, we weren't thrilled by the meal."

  • "Have been to Jameson's several times over the past 3 years. Most of the time, the steaks were excellent. However, this time, I ordered the Rib-Eye cooked medium. It came out medium rare. Sent it back and it was cooked medium-well. The manager did reduce the price of the steak by a certain percentage. So, hopefully, this is not a future problem."

  • "We enjoyed Jameson's Charhouse immensely! The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. I had the brown sugar glazed salmon and that was cooked to perfection. Various other people in our party ordered steaks, ribs and other meat dishes and they also enjoyed them as well. The only drawback that kept us from ordering dessert was the fact that they did not have a dessert menu. The waitress rattled off various items, but we couldn't remember them and failed to inquire more about them. Outside of this we had a great evening! "

  • "We came in on a weekday so the place was not crowded at 6:30 pm. It all started with the wine which tasted old. The waiter seemed like he was in a hurry for some reason & he was not very pleasant. We got our steaks which were of poor quality & very dry. The whole meal that we spent $100 on was not that great. I couldn't even think about eating the leftovers. It did not appeal to me at all. Very disappointing."
