Jaleo - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Outstanding Service.I brought my wife here for Mother's Day and had a exceptional time. Thanks Jaleo.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest of Vegas-Great for vegetariansThis restaurant is now my favorite in Las Vegas! The food and service was amazing! The smells coming off the grill are tantalizing! They had a separate menu ready for me when I told them I was a vegetarian. All they did was delete the meat only dishes to make it easy for me to choose-and there were so many things to choose from! The wine list is incredible. I will be beack to Jaleo everytime I come to Vegas!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic tapas in VegasI'm not an enormous fan of Spanish food and was hesitant when my boyfriend picked Jaleo just because it's José Andrés's place, but everything we ordered was divine. Everything is in small portions but absolutely worth the price. The Ibérico ham was phenomenal, as was the selection of cheeses. The potato puree w/ wild mushrooms was creamy and flavorful, and the foie gras cannelloni was a little rich but totally worth it. The Rossejat paella was great, although we weren't sure if the squid that was supposed to be on it was actually on it or if it was all shrimp. Staff was friendly and helpful. The whole restaurant does smell of the wood-burning fire they use to cook the paella though.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat addition to the Vegas sceneGreat food, great service. I would definitely return.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, great meal. I'm veryGreat, great meal. I'm very glad I went. One of the better meals I've had in a long time. As someone who never eats desert, I found an exception I like in the Gin and Tonic Sorbet.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticFantastic overall experience! food and drinks were Delicious! Can't wait to return.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely great food options.Absolutely great food options. Very noisy. Not at all intimate4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOnly complaint was that weOnly complaint was that we had secured reservations via Open Table and we were bypassed time and time again by other parties that arrived later but then got seated first which had us wondering if we were sent to the back of the bus because we didn't call in our RSVP. They comped us drinks but my thought was next reservation I'm calling in.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect option for a lightPerfect option for a light dinner. Great variety of interesting tapas. Many good wines by the glass. Very open, pleasant dining area.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food and serviceOutstanding good and service in a very nice restaurant setup. Highly recommended4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMJaleo came to us on the recommendatJaleo came to us on the recommendation of a group of friends and it did not disappoint! Understanding the portion sizes is certainly a tad challenging but everything was very good.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLove tapas restaurants andLove tapas restaurants and was pleased with the squid in ink , and scallops in romesco sauce, great flavors. Old standbys like jamon iberico and cheese plates were equally good, but pretty pricey for very small servings- 6 plates for 2, half carafe of sangria and one glass of wine for $140.
Servers were great, attentive and helpful. Tried the sangria which was too minty for my taste, but switched to a nice wine from a good wine list.
Overall nice evening but I found the prices pretty steep for very small plates.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great! Ambiance wasFood was great! Ambiance was fun! Would definitely go back!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, attentive, helpfulGreat food, attentive, helpful service, and the best gin and tonic I've ever had!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA true taste of Spain!Wow.... Where to start? How about the olive app... Omg. Olive aka Adrian Ferran. Tiny spheres that explode in your mouth coupled with stuffed olives that are over the top due to the tasty little anchovies inside them. Next Jamon Serrano that melts in your mouth. Or the stuffed piquillo peppers with gorgeous goat cheese. The iberico ribs were falling off the bone, pair them with the patatas bravas and you are in heaven. But wait, you finally arrive in heaven if you finish off with the Flan. Wine list was fantastic.
Treat you and your loved one to a truly fabulous dining experience the next time you visit Vegas. You won't regret it.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA MUST DO !!!Quite noisy, but other than that NO NEGATIVES ! Well, 1.... skip the paella, they used the wrong type of rice, it had the wrong consistency, pasty, and not tasty at all.... other than that one dish, everything was SUPERB ! This restaurant compares with all the top restaurants in NYC, and I've been to most of them. I like the small plate TAPAS business model, it lets your party try many dishes and eat as much or as little as they like. This is a MUST DO in Vegas !!!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat tapas & serviceJaleo was a great find. We were in Vegas for a meeting and wanted to get out of our hotel and try something new. The service was excellent and the food was fabulous! We enjoyed the knowledge of our server in suggesting certain tapas, as there are many to choose from.
We enjoyed it thoroughly and will return on our next visit to Vegas. Only down side is that it is very noisy, so not conducive to dinner conversation, but if you enjoy an energetic atmosphere, this is the place for you!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMJaleo LV : as good as the originalJaleo Las Vegas is as good as the "original" counterparts in the DC area which I have frequented many a time. Be it the ethereal tortilla (an updated interpretation though I do like the homey thick tortillas), the salty sweet simplicity of the bacon wrapped dates and the classic pan y tomate, or the updated elegance of the beet salad (gorgeously roasted sweet beets, complimented with the refreshing bitterness of escarole, tangy goat cheese and the light dressing) or the new pork skirt steak. The latter was recommended by our waiter on a recent visit (John I think was the name) and it did not disappoint. A perfectly seasoned and seared skirt steak full unbridled flavor complimented beautifully by the herby salsa verde and aioli.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Tapas. If you areFantastic Tapas. If you are a fan of Spanish Tapas and Paella this is a must.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMJaleo is our current fineJaleo is our current fine dining go to place in Vegas. The wine list is good but not over the top, and the food is top notch. I could eat just the cured meats for about a week straight without leaving the table. It can be a tad noisy (but hey, it's Vegas), so maybe not the best place for a romantic date, but otherwise, excellent all around.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMtapas in vegas a good betYears ago, I dined at Jaleo in Washington, DC, and remembered it as being very impressive. This was equal to the task. Excellent tapas menu. Some reasonably priced wine selections--went for a bold Spanish red, although I'm usually into sangria for these meals. For "high end" Vegas dining, not too costly. Our waiter made some very good recommendations of things I probably would not have picked on my own. It is a good option outside of buffets, steakhouses and some of the other generic LV choices. And the Cosmopolitan is a beautiful property as well.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had five people includingWe had five people including a vegetarian in our party for dinner. The waiter did an excellent job helping us choose an attainable, delicious menu that everyone loved. He steered us in directions we would not have gone, and steered us away from things we might not have enjoyed so much. My second time to Jaleo (the other time was in DC), and the subtle differences in some dishes were interesting to note. The deep fried eggplant in Vegas is much thicker than in DC--and still amazing. Great food, fabulous service--thanks for the memories!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to returnlove the energy, prices are reasonable, was finished in time to see a show!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food!My tastebuds wish I was still there...
The place is pricy, but I knew that going in. Jose Andres is an amazing chef, and I've never been disappointed.
Unlike other expensive restaurants where you commit to one expensive plate, the tapas approach allows you to try many things for about the same cost. My girlfriend & I had the White asparagus (w/ lemon, thyme & idiazábal cheese), Patatas Bravas, Carne Asada (grilled skirt steak with piquillo pepper), Endives (with goat cheese, oranges & almonds), Wild mushrooms with potato purée, Roasted Chicken, and Papas Arugas (mini potatoes served w/mojo verde and mojo rojo).
Each was a small portion, but after eating all of these different plates, we were more than satisfied! Highly recommended!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSuch an energetic atmosphere,Such an energetic atmosphere, love this place. Great menu and service4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for an adult night outReally delicious food but for adults . Loved everything we tried but the teens we were with had a hard time with the sophiscated flavor . We will go again but leave the kids . The sangria is perfection .4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA celebration of different flavorsThis was my second visit to this restaurant... and I was as pleased as the first visit. This time we ordered the white asparagus dish, the endives with goat cheese, the dates with bacon, the shrimp sauteed with garlic and the chorizo with mashed potato. All the dishes were excellent. I look forward to going back there on my next trip to Vegas.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious! This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and ambiance are superior! It is a great choice for a delicious pre-show dinner.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss!!This my third time to Jaleo and I can't wait to return again. The food and the service is always spot on.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA foodies paradise. The menuA foodies paradise. The menu represents the best in Spanish tapas. The paella is a must try as well. Chicken croquettes might be the best bite in the country. The wine list is extensive and has some great values and hard to find Spanish wines.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat TapasGreat little foodie tapas place in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. A little pricey, but not unusually so for Vegas, and worth it for the great food and excellent service.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good as usual but itVery good as usual but it seems like the portions are getting smaller and the prices steeper.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Jose Andres...not the staffSpecified on reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and it was noticed at all. Very disappointing! Our particular server was terrible. Others seemed more attentive and kind. Hostess was quite rude as well.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA great RestaurantChef Andres has done a great job with Jaleo. An open kitchen like a magic show. The tapas are excellent such as the wine and service.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first visit to Jaleo in VegasWe wanted to try one of his restaurants and chose Jaleo as the one to stop at in Vegas this year. I am not a huge Tapas fan (it is my husband who loves them), but their wide variety on the menu allowed us to find something we both liked. The food was all excellenty prepared with wonderful flavors. The only hard problem is FINDING the restaurant as there is not a sign right by the hostess stand.3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a great dinner toThis was a great dinner to have for a group with differing tastes, under a bit of time pressure, and after a buffet brunch that left us stuffed, midday. It was perfect to have reasonably sized tastes of such great tapas. We particularly enjoyed the scallops and the toasted bread with tomato. That dish sounds so simple, but it was great.
We planned to eat at Jaleo at 5pm on our theater night, when we had to show to get to at 7pm. The tapas format turned out to be perfect. We could naturally control the pace of our meal, and it turned out perfectly. The restaurant seemed a bit loud later at night, for those in our group who are 55+, but it was a fun atmosphere that they would try again.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing service! EveryoneAmazing service! Everyone was extremely friendly and energetic. Server had great recommendations and really knew the menu!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for large groups. ItGreat for large groups. It was clean and the service was pretty good for them being so busy. Food was awesome! It was pretty loud so I would use this as a hot spot before I go clubbing.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was amazing and ourThe food was amazing and our server was great at helping us order. The tapas portions were great for three people to share, but more than three peeps and you probably need to order two of everything. The garlic shrimp were favorite.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMJaleo was an absolute gem.Jaleo was an absolute gem. Everything was perfectly prepared and perfectly portioned. Overall a great experience and we will absolutely be back.12/26/2012 12:00:00 AM
