Diner Reviews
  • "Tuna tartare, split pea soup, yellow fin tuna, short ribs & popcorn for dessert were delicious. Service was very poor, especially the wine service."

  • "Good dinner and service. Beautiful room. Enjoyable evening"

  • "The food and ambience were wonderful, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on the food was because the side of mashed potatoes for $10.00 was instant potatoes."

  • "Food was outstanding. Service top notch. Views spectacular. Riding up the funicular was an added treat for my daughter!"

  • "We were so pleased with the entire experience! The food was exquisite, the service perfect, the atmosphere comfortable. We enjoyed something from every offering ~ tuna tartare, scallops, truffle pizza - all perfect, salads were all great, short rib, salmon, trout, New York Strip, you can't go wrong! And make sure you try the salted caramel sundae.... WOW! We'll be back!"

  • "We have been going to J&G since it opened and the restaurant never disappoints. The food is excellent, the service awesome, and the atmosphere great. Highly recommend."

  • "We've eaten at J&G several times, and I'm pleased to say this was our best experience yet. Service was professional and friendly, the food was excellent, and the room was busy but not overly noisy. Lamb and tuna mains were expertly prepared, as were other courses. The wine list is extensive (and expensive), but the friendly sommelier pointed us toward a reasonable choice that complemented our food. If J&G does this consistently, it will remain one of Park City's best restaurants."

  • "From the hostess staff to the wait-staff to the chef and cooks; all were amazing. Food was excellent. We went there for lunch the next day and had the best lobster roll ever. It was fabulous!"

  • "Ambience was beautiful and light. Beautiful views of the ski resort. Good and service was great. We went with our 7 and 9 year old and had a wonderful time. Worth the price of the meal."

  • "I am a big fan of Jean-Georges, but this restaurant definitely did not live up to my expectations. I ordered the salmon, and it was perfectly cooked. However, it was on top of cold mashed potatoes and itself was not warm. They tried again, and the second time everything was warm, yet the fish was chewy and dry--inedible. My boyfriend ordered a rare steak, and it came out medium-well. The cut was not good, so he didn't make a second attempt. The wine and service were good."

  • "Great atmosphere. Need to take a Funicular to get up to the restaurant and the view on the way is amazing. The restaurant is awesome, the art is great, the ambiance and decorations are amazing. The wine list was amazing and we had an amazing bottle of darioush. We got 2 apps, 3 sides and 4 entrees between the four of us. it was over all great. It is pricey so definitely plan on a large tab, but its worth it. Also I reccommend walking around the hotel - the art, furniture, fire pit , etc are worth seeing for sure."

  • "This was the best restaurant experience I had this spring break!"

  • "Very nice ambientation, wonderful place, but too manny kids and it seems to be a family hotel, that's good but parents must take care of kids, nice service, noisy, expensive but very nice that the restaurant it's open for not guests of the hotel."

  • "We ate her twice for dinner during our trip -- both times at the Kitchen Counter. That appears to be where they put guests lacking reservations, but we requested it in our reservation and would recommend it to others. The chef cooked tasting menus for us -- not the one on the menu, but what he felt like. This was the way to go. This is the best food in Park City, we believe, and the service and special attention was fabulous. One in our party had a dairy and soy allergy, and this was enthusiastically accomdated. Highly recommended!"

  • "My wife took me here for my birthday and we had a superb time. We had the lamb and sea bass and both were very wonderful. The service from both Kyle and Summer was outstanding. Being the special setting it is you will be paying for the senic views and special treatment you receive but it is worth it for the special occasions. I want to go back in the summer to eat outside!"

  • "Food for park city was only average quality. Would go to many other places before going back."

  • "Not sure how a family resort has a restaurant that makes it clear that kids are not welcome. The manager practically asked us to leave. Our children were very well behaved, esp for ages 4-10. It was quite upsetting to have just spent $1,200 and to be treated this way. We would not return. Our wait staff was unbelievable and thought our kids were just great. To then be addressed by the manager was unbelievable. With all the great places around DV, no need to stop here. Apparently the Montage has a much more kid-friendly staff w/ a bowling alley and game room."

  • "Wonderful location, food, and service. The hotel, St. Regis, where the restaurant is located, sits atop a hill, and one must take the funicular up to the hotel from the road. Quite cool! The food was gourmet and delicious. The mushroom pizza for an appetizer was outstanding. The short ribs were tasty as were other entrees my dining partners ordered. Service was good, but not quite the five-star level. For example, after dinner coffee cups were filled at the table, but spilled over to the saucer. When all four cups were filled, the server left the carafe on the table as if there was more coffee left in the carafe. When one of us was ready to have the second cup, we realized the carafe was empty! Nevertheless, highly recommended."

  • "This was our first dining experience at J&G - which came highly recommended by locals. The bar was set high given the many reviews and J&G did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, our server was a gem and the food was fantastic. The chef's point of view was explained with each course - local ingredients, preparation style to preserve the nutrients and benefits of the food, etc. The wine list was phenomenal - with quality options for every price range. Our server - Brandon - did an outstanding job helping guide us to new wine selections based on known likes. Expensive - but worth it. This was hands down one of the best dining experiences our party of 6 has ever had. Well done J&G.... well done!"

  • "This is a first class restaurant and bar with the impeccable service you'd expect at the St Regis. We ate lunch at the bar and the service was attentive, polite and never missed a beat. The hamburgers are fantastic as well as the salads. I'm a big fan of their signature Bloody Mary. They say you get what you pay for and this is truly a relaxed and first class experience. Consistently outstanding."

  • "for $750 I would of expected better service....our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes after our meal was served. over priced compared to other restaurants in park city"

  • "The service and ambience was excellent. My husband enjoyed his chili glazed pork chop & I enjoyed my beet salad. However, I was disappointed in my vegetarian pasta. I asked the waitress my options and it was a vege plate or the pasta. I chose the pasta, but what I got was a plate of penne with a few routine veges thrown on, such as carrots and stems of broccoli rabe. Considering the reputation and the prices, this was very disappointing & the kitchen should not be proud of serving this dish. I regretted not speaking up when I was there, so decided to write a review in case there are other vegetarians who dine here. There were many side dish veges that could have been used, so no excuse. If you're not vegetarian, will probably enjoy."

  • "We had dinner there during our stay in Park City. We went to the bar first to try one of their signature cocktails. It was filled with kids/families eating dinner, not quite the atmosphere we were looking for. Dinner was disappointing. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and it arrived warm. We asked them to chill it and then we didn't see if again until we were halfway finished with our entrees. They do not leave the bottle at the table so we were left with an empty glass during the second half of our dinner and no food with the remaining half bottle. The food was ok, nothing fabulous. We complained about the wine service and the server did bring us dessert for free. The desserts were wonderful, esp. the salted caramel sundae."

  • "The main dining room was lovely but the sound in the wine vault dining room was awful......hard surfaces every where nothing to absorb the sound. Great food and service in main dining room."

  • "The food is outstanding, but for the price, it wasn't extraordinary. I admit our expectations were high, but it didn't hit the mark."

  • "Went here on Presidents day so full of noisy kids which usually don't bother me but the noise level is very high.. Kevin, our waiter, was terrific and the food made up for all the noise. I had the Seabass with a Malaysian chili sauce that was to die for! My friend had the lamb chops that came with a jam like peppercorn sauce that was over the top .. ( offered the recipe to me and after I heard how many ingredients are involved , I opted to come back again! ).. Had the salted carmel sundae (just because), and kudos to who came up wit this one.. Lets just say .. you need to order this!"

  • "Loved the food but pricey! The service with Victoria was above outstanding! She was knowledgeable about wine, food and engage our 6th & 9th grade sons in conversation. Where does that ever happen in high end restaurants. We come to Park City 4 times a year and Always eat here!"

  • "My husband and I eat at J&G Grill every time we visit Park City and we have never been disappointed. This time we brought friends with us and were so impressed at the creativity of the vegetarian meal that they came up with for our friend. If you get a chance, try the ginger margarita--it's amazing!"

  • "I've seen some markups before, but the J&G is rediculous. Phelps insignia that runs ~200/bottle being auctioned off at 600 bucks a bottle. Isn't the funicular paid off by now? Very disappointing. Shame on you J&G."

  • "always one of our favorite meals when we come to Deer Valley. we have had multiple meals over the past 3 years, and the careful preparation, professional service and warm ambience never fail to disappoint. highly recommend their homemade sodas as well as their pastas, but really the entire menu is solid."

  • "We go to a lot of great spots when we go to park city and J&Gs was more expensive than any of the other places we have ever been in the 10 years we have been coming to PC and my lamb was overlooked and low quality and my wife's fish was overlooked and flavorless very disappointed in the overall experience"

  • "Loved the decor, the food and the service! Drinks were amazing, food was even better and our server, Glen, pointed us in the right direction every time!! We'll be back! The St. Regis is beautiful. It's worth a trip just to see the hotel. We went back for lunch a couple days later and it was just as good!!"
