  • "Right at the end of Duval, Hot Tin Roof is a romantic spot on the water. A great drink list, good food, friendly service, and the building is beautiful!"

  • "My wife and I ate here while celebrating our anniversary in Key West and the staff took great care of us. We had a fantastic view over the water and our meals were both excellent. Would return should we go back to Key West."

  • "We chose this restaurant not just for the menu but the beautiful outdoor deck. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was not outdoor seating available. While the inside is lovely and romantic, we really wanted to go to this restaurant to sit outside and by the water. The hostess was very apologetic and showed us to a nice table by the window. Again the inside is very nice but, being from New York after a long, cold winter, we weren't happy and even considered leaving. A minute later the hostess came back and said that there was a table leaving. She had the waiter move us outside where the view was lovely and the food was very good."

  • "My wife and I made a reservation to Hot Tin Roof based on the number of positive reviews on Opentable and Tripadvisor as well as other Top restaurant lists of Key west. We first ordered a wedge salad and their Bibb Salad which surprisingly came out in only a couple of minutes. There were no problems with our salads however they weren't great. We waited for the next two courses for over an hour. I had the Pork shank which was tender but under seasoned. My wife's grouper was over salted to the point of almost being inedible. We joked that if they would have used less salt on the grouper and more on the pork, things would have been better. The best part of the meal was the Berry crumble. Sadly, not enough for us to want to come back."

  • "We wanted a special dinner while watching the sunst. The service was great; the atmosphere beautiful, and the food was delicious. We started with the lobster bisque; I had the ceased salad; hubby had the goat cheese. All were amazing. He had the scallop risotto, and I had the fish of the day. We would go back in a heartbeat."

  • "Spectacular waterfront setting with friendly service. Mahi sandwich was delicious. Hummus with warm pita was outstanding. Pulled pork empanadas yummy too. Pineapple infused vodka made a sweet foamy cocktail which we loved. Live band was planning at the bar below our balcony seat. Loved the whole experience."

  • "It was a chilly night with gale force winds in March. We were asked to sit outside and declined. Instead we were seated with door at my back. Every time a waiter went in and out, the wind hit the back of my neck. fortunately, most waiters were very conscious and closed door quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and prompt."

  • "We made reservations for Brunch, at the recommendation of a local friend and I'm very glad we did. It was an outstanding experience. We had dinner at Hot TIn Roof in August of last year, found it to be an amazing experience and this trip did not disappoint. We were seated at 11, at a perfect balcony table, and stayed for at least 2 hours. We tried countless plates and found the service to be top notch. Our waiter actually encouraged us to relax and take our time, not to rush our decision to "finish" as we might change our mind. It was a refreshing change from other establishments that push you to finish so they can 'turn over" the table."

  • "This was the second night out on our 30th anniversary trip. Latitudes was awesome, but this was close. Meals were just right and the wine list had a decent variety. They brought a complimentary key lime pie for desert. Service was outstanding"

  • "We were enjoying the outside dining, when the weather kicked up and blew glasses off our table. We promptly went inside, finding a booth. Our waiter was so accommodating and courteous, he didn't skip a beat with bringing in new appetizers and drinks. Our food was incredible. We all shared from each other's plates it was so good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who comes to town. Since we are locals, we have found a new favorite."

  • "The service here was outstanding very friendly wait staff and the food was 5 star! I enjoyed the white Sangria and my red snapper was cooked perfectly! We had a table with a fantastic view of the ocean, an extremely enjoyable dining experience!"

  • "We dined on a Thursday in late March, arriving at 7:10 p.m. for our 7:30 reservation. We were told we could sit but not outside. That suited us fine, we still had the beautiful view. The restaurant was quiet so I was surprised she didn't seat us at 1 of the 3 outdoor tables for 2 that remained empty for the first hour we were there. I asked the bartender for his best mocktail & he suggested a piña colada. We started with 3 small plates which came out at the same time: the tuna and scallop were excellent. The calamari was salty. After those were cleared,we waited 45 minutes for an entree to split. At one point, our server said it was being plated on 2 plates and were served 20 mins later. The scallop entree was not worth a 45 min wait."

  • "We had a wonderful evening here. The service and food were outstanding and the location is perfect for watching a Key West sunset. The experience would have been perfect except that a fire erupted on Christmas Island a few days earlier and the winds sent the smoke across the restaurant. The maitre d' showed us the table he had set aside for our anniversary dinner but with the conditions it simply was not going to work. I appreciated his honesty and consideration. Food was well prepared and flavorful. Would very much recommend!"

  • "Hot Tin Roof continues to be a wonderful spot in Key West. We have been there a number of times and never been disappointed. The food is wonderful, the servers attentive and the view is fabulous!"

  • "From the view on the back balcony, to the excellent service and delicious food, we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! Would go back again and again."

  • "...including accommodating our group of 6 arriving with the kitchen being open 5 more minutes and being slightly rowdier than we should. The food, from appetizers to main courses was amazing. Wonderful cocktails. A polite manager came over to welcome us to the restaurant. The aesthetics of the decor and menus adds to an overall 5 star experience."

  • "We had a wonderful time although it was pouring rain and couldn't see the sunset. Will definitely go back if ever in key west again!"

  • "I booked this restaurant several days in advance, which I then assumed would provide a table, as indicated. When the reservation came up, there was a table, but not in the requested place. We were staying at the hotel as guests. It seems the hotel gave out all the reserved tables to people, so the waiter indicated we should come back later. We then watched the sunset from our room. I phoned to tell them to call me when a table was available. This didn't happen. We went to Azur instead (I'd recommend that). They DID phone and leave a message much later asking if I still wanted the reservation and were offering a drink and appetizer. So, thats positive. However, there are lots of restaurants in Key West, so this one is low on my list."

  • "We had an awesome time with great food and harbor view from patio deck table. Dinner reservations were in late evening, but still found outside patio dining peaceful as we watched boats head in to harbor while enjoying fantastic Surf & Turf meal with Pineapple Mrartini's that went down way too easy! Definitely a must see and do location for a great dinner experience. Also great locoation in the heart of all the action of Mallory Square."

  • "Hot Tin Roof is a great spot to enjoy a fantastic brunch with a great view of the water. Brunch is a fixed price but you order off the menu as much as you like, as often as you like and the food is upscale, fresh, unique, and well prepared. The Bloody Mary bar is excellent. We had a Bloody Mary with a shrimp, piece of bacon, short rib, and pickled asparagus hanging off the rim. Quite decadent and flavorful. Great service, staff is very helpful, and we can't wait to go back again."

  • "In addition to the great food and the great view, this restaurant has what COUNTS! It has a wonderful staff that cares about how its customers feel!! Smiling faces, helpful servers, helpful bus people even, all smiling and comfortable! We got a big thank you from the maitre di even!! Wow!! Great food, great wine list, great drinks! I give this place 5 stars!!!"

  • "With a 6pm reservation, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The bar prepared an excellent Sazerac which is not often available. Close to Mallory Square and sitting higher above the Gulf, this restaurant has a direct, breathtaking view of the Key West sunset and the sailboats. We were offered a table on their covered open air balcony, which was a bit hot in the setting sun, so we took a booth just inside with the AC. The service was attentive, the food delicious. Definitely on our list for next time."

  • "Great place to watch sunset. Had fresh clams on half shell and Red Snapper. The Food was excellent. Our only issue was that the servers (not our waiter) brought us the wrong entrees."

  • "Best Brunch experience in Key West! The menu is inventive - unique - impressive! The bloody Mary Bar - is one of a kind - they have though of everything! I enjoyed every bit of my experience - especially that all the wonderful small plates come right to your table ...no big buffet lines to wait in and lots of people breathing on and picking through the food displays! ! Our Server Chris was fantastic! Charming and entertaining - This is my new Favorite! We will be back again and again!"

  • "The views are fantastic and the food quite good. I had the scallops risotto and my partner opted for the Latin inspired short ribs. We started with the asparagus soup. Our server was prompt, friendly. and attentive to detail. Our issue was the music! They pipe in the performance on the beach. It was by no means dinner music and it was way too loud. Yelling at each other across the table does not make for a romantic meal. The beach music was great...for being at the beach! Turn it down and set a mood that matches the setting."

  • "It was pricey. $11 for a small plate of lettuce. Food was good, restaurant was pretty, but too expensive for what you got."

  • "My wife and I ate here upon recommendation from our charter boat captain. The stuffed lobster was delicious and our server couldn't have been more attentive. We would definitely dine here again."

  • "I reserved to provide a special evening for my 2 best girls. The evening was a great success. Both girls were very impressed with the restaurant as well as the food. The sunset was one of the highlights of the meal. Can't wait to come again"

  • "The food choice, service and cuisine quality were all excellent for a pre fixe menu and dealing with a very large crowd, that is not always the case. So, cudos to the team at Hot Tin Roof for a wonderful evening."

  • "What a surprise as we walked in, it was beautiful inside or out on the porch area . The food was wonderful will come back for sure !"

  • "Perfect weather; perfect location; perfect sunset; perfect view; romance in the air. Service started out very well, but diminished as the meal progressed. The appetizers were wonderful. The second plate (salads) never came until the 3rd plate (dinner) arrived, and we had to ask for the salads. The waiter was surprised ("they didn't come?"). The dinner should have had asparagus with the surf and turf, but was missing with the other vegetable (potato). We decided not to ask for the asparagus. However, all the food we did have was well prepared and very good; but not outstanding as I found at Lattitudes, The Dining Room at Little Palm Island or Louie's Backyard. I chose Hot Tin Roof for the view and wasn't disappointed. Had a wonderful time."

  • "The food was very good however several items on the menu were not available. Service was atrocious. It was extremely slow. I had to ask for bread and then get up and ask when our appetizers would be arriving. Apparently one of the cooks did not show up. The server who was pretty good did apologize however no compensation was offered. The cost was way over the top. Overall it was a disappointing experience for a $300.00 dinner for 4!"
