A Farm Coastal Restaurant located inside the Study at Yale Hotel on Chapel Street at the heart of Yale University Campus in New Haven, CT.     Althouh the place was quite busy on Father's Day at lunch time, we had a very good experience. The menu and wine list were fantastic. Food was well prepared and tasty. Service was a little slow at the start, but I'd definitely go back.

    The food at heirloom is always good and the severs are always lovely . However, we waited for quite a while to be seated even though we had a reservation . (There was nobody at the desk). They may be understaffed as there were French fries on the floor under our table and the table itself needed to be rewiped. Even the doors in the rest room are janky. As I said, the food is yummy (kale salad with salmon, tomato soup with grilled cheese and chicken salad sandwich ) but the place could just use a wee bit more care and love.

    Everything we ordered was delicious. The roasted oysters with breadcrumbs, Togarashi, Furikake and citrus were the best roasted oysters I have ever experienced. The drinks were well made. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Looking forward to next time.

    Food and drink selection is always wonderful at Heirloom. It can get a little noisy, however, especially if there is a large party in the function room on the side. Nevertheless, he is always a fun and reliable preshow dinner stop for us.

    The food at Heirloom is always delicious and healthy whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have eaten at Heirloom many times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Occasionally the service while very courteous, can be slow and the noise levels can sometimes be higher than ideal on the weekends. In spite of this, Heirloom is our go to place to eat in New Haven and we recommend it highly.
