This was a special occasion
dinner, and they treated it as such - made up a dessert for us with "congratulations" written on it in chocolate. We ordered two appetizers with the wine pairings for each, and then shared the duck with the wine pairing - which was perfect for two women. (Not sure it would be enough for a guy.) Both appetizers were good, but the duck was amazing - the sweet potato flan it's served with is one of the best things I've had in recent memory. Order the wine pairings - they know what they're doing with them."

I've been going to GW for years
now. This place is a 10 out of 10 for me. I've never had a bad meal here and would and have recomended this place time and time again!"

the glass wall salad was fresh and
very tasty. my friend ordered the tenderloin which he stated was very good but a tad over cooked above medium done. i ordered the shrimp and crab linguine . It was fresh but needed a bit more seasoning ."

Hello to all I recently enjoyed my
20th wedding anniversary at the Glass Wall and it was so awesome. I was speechless. The food was great and so was the service. Thanks for making my night very special!!!"

The meal and ambience at Glass
Wall was superb. My only disappointment is that I had requested a booth with my reservation and was seated at a table with my dining companion. Minor disappointment, but still. Servers very friendly, helpful, and very much attentive. Overall great experience. Will definitely be back. Next time, hopefully in a booth."

the server isidro was amazing. The
paella was a little mushy. Not the best i had. t"

We went here on a recommendation
of friends. Good food and good wine pairings. Appetizers, baked oysters and crab dip were very good. Went down from there. Signature chicken fried steak was dry and overdone. Gravy was almost congealed on top. Paella was fine, tho not much flavor. Red snapper was very 'fishy'. The lollipop lamb chops was very good, tho not the accompanying rice. The desserts, bread pudding and rum cake were very good. Maybe we just hit a bad night. Doubt we will try again tho, sorry."

I never miss the opportunity to
have dinner at Glass Wall when I am on a business trip in Houston. Great selection of creative dishes and an excellent wine list. Wine by the glass pairing with every entry on the extensive menu includes very interesting suggestions out of one's comfort zone.Service is excellent but not stuffy. The team does a great job each time. Glass Wall is definitely one of my favorites in Houston."

I went there with my girl friends
for one of their birthdays. I used Open table to make the reservation and included the fact it was my GF's bday celebration. It was fantastic that he approached the table and knew her name and the occasion. It's details like that which make dining experiences wonderful!! The food was exquisite and the wine was great..it wasn't the bottle I wanted but they upgraded and kept the price the same..which I thought was very nice!"

It's nice to have upscale place
that we can go at the spur of the moment.... Suspect to reservations. Martinis were prompt, water was kept refilled, and waitstaff plus manager provided the right balance of service. Salads were good, potato chips...not so much... Switched out with sweet potato fries. Chicken fried steak was average. Red fish was good. Overall, good value for a date night without the work for going to Galleria or downtown traffic."

We are once again uber impressed
with the quality of food, the service, and the ambience of The Glass Wall! We were there on a Sunday evening and it was relatively quiet (we were on the early side)--a big plus since the noise level in there can get quite high. There were only two servers on duty, but it seemed that they did not miss a beat and everything came out in perfect manner in terms of time and the support staff was right on it. The chef is very creative and we devoured the crab finger special appetizer--excellent crab fingers with a lively lemon butter sauce and a center of warm basil mashed potatoes. I had the veal picatta--which rivaled disses of similar ilk in NYC. The Glass Wall is indeed a neighborhood gem!"

This place was so loud it was
almost unbearable. The waiter had to put his ear next to our mouth to hear, I have never been in a restraurant this noisy. The entrees were not good, the appetizer was crab dip and the famous mac and cheeks was good we ordered rib eye and chicken fried steak not good or worth the 80$ check we did not have wine or liquor , waiter was rude and poor serving skills , I will not be back or ever recommend this place"
Dined on 2/21/2014
All of the main entrees were
great. Service was good but not noteworthy. Eveybody enjoyed their deserts except me. I would not order the brûlée again. Only mishap was the glass of wine I ordered. It tasted like it was poured from a bottle that had been left open for a couple of days. This is why as a general rule I order by the bottle and not the glass. But the server made good on the bad glass of wine without incident."

This was the perfect place to
celebrate a belated Valentine's Day. My girlfriend and I had a reservation and were immediately seated, the waiter was prompt and friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, even gave pairing recommendations. The food was fantastic. I will most certainly be back for another special occasion. The waiter told me though that we lucked out coming in after Valentine's Day, because when the place gets crowded it gets very loud. He also said they are going to be doing some renovations for a few weeks at the end of February to improve the acoustics."

Enjoyed the ambiance and the food.
Very good staff."

The service at Glass Wall is
beyond excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of all the menu items. My only complaint is the food is a little pricey."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We had an excellent time. We sat
on the back side of the "glass wall" and gave a great view of the entire dining room. Our server was awesome, very polite and always noticed when our glasses were even half empty. The food was tasty, especially the blue lump crab dip - so indulgent and special."
Dined on 2/14/2014
This was our first time at Glass
Wall and it won't be our last. Excellent good and service. The waiter recommended great wines to pair with our entree. We were too full to try dessert, but we'll know to save room next time. Dining room was a bit loud, but overall a great place."

My dining partner and I are still
wondering why it's called the glass wall? There wasn't anything that resembled a spectacular glass wall. There was a frosted glass wall dividing the bar from the dining area....but it wasn't fun to admire. Portions were tiny and we thought the food was overpriced. Service was spotty, he tried to he friendly, but came off too flirty then didn't always listen and wasn't available when we needed his service. We had to wave him down twice. The hostess was ride in regards to my special table request do to a disability. She rolled her eyes and seemed out out by a request to NOT be in the center of the restaurant, I thought maybe they were crowded....nope, there were empty and available tables everywhere."

Glass Wall is an excellent
restaurant. Food is excellent, the ambience is really good - it is simply just right..decent wine list and great service. Certainly will recommend it to anyone with good gastronomic knowledge."

I took my wife and friends to
Glass Wall for her birthday. Food and service were excellent! I had flowers delivered to the restaurant and the resaurant called to confirm our reservation and find out exactly how we wanted the flowers presented at the table. Very good experience."
Dined on 2/4/2014
I was a bit frustrated that we
arrived early for our reservation only to find the bar seating was 'reserved' as well. This was more irritating when we had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated anyway. I appreciated the hosts apology and he was very polite, but seeing three or four tables empty for at least an hour and not being seated on time did not make sense. At least the night I was there, the seating seemed to be a problem. People stacked up at the bar unable to sit at empty but saved tables, some for dinners I never saw arrive, and others seeming as surprised as me that the bar was reserved seating. Our waiter was great once we got our seats and the food was top notch. The waiter is why I rated the service so highly."

Very enjoyable dinner - food was
awesome and our waiter was outstanding. The message on the answering machine should probably be updated...it still has New Years information."
Dined on 1/25/2014
I went here for my birthday dinner
and the food was fantastic. I really liked the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, however we we stuck at a small table along the wall and we felt a little cramped next to several large parties. That was easy to forget though, once the food came out. Everything we tried was delicious especially the complimentary birthday dessert- vanilla bean panna cotta."
Dined on 1/18/2014
there were three of us eating and
all three entrees were delightful. the sea bass, paella, and veal each melted in our mouths. and we are discerning diners, who find few restaurants that match our home cooking. we will surely return with others to sample other dishes."

We went to Glass Wall Friday for
dinner and had a great experience. The food was amazing. We had the lobster fra diavolo and the redfish special and the bread pudding and all of it definitely exceeded our expectations. The service was also great and our waiter made the perfect recommendations when asked about options."
Dined on 1/17/2014
We went to The Glass Wall for a
Sunday night dinner with another couple. Everything was spot on! Unhurried but attentive service, quiet (read: no obnoxious music that makes conversation impossible), and best of all - the food was fabulous. All four of us had something different - three beef/pork and me, the paella. I was a little afraid to veer from all the great recommendations about the CFS and the short ribs, etc., but the paella was out of this world. Perfectly done. We will definitely go back. I would characterize The Glass Wall as a grown up restaurant in a world filled with rowdy kids."

I've been here numerous times over
the years and it is by far one of the most consistent and enjoyable dining locations in town relative to other establishments of the same caliber. The menu changes seasonally and I've never been disappointed. The staff is always super helpful, polite, and professional. If you need advice don't hesitate to ask cause they'll dissect the entire menu for you if needed. And I can't forget to mention their extensive and awesome wine collection. A bit pricey but well worth it. Great for dates and romantic occasions. When crowded it can be a bit loud though so try choosing an off night to go if you want quiet."

I loved the size and ambiance of
this restuarant. The menu was absolutely perfect featuring only a short list of delicious items. We truly enjoyed the service. It was not overbearing but always there when we needed it. I was nervous about where to park but then noticed that you feature complimentary valet parking! The prices were fair as well! Great food, ambiance amd service is the trifecta of dining out on a Friday night!"

I took my other half for his
birthday dinner here and were blown away by the outstanding service and incredible food at the Glass Wall. Do yourself a favor and go!"

Two of us dined; We ordered two
apps (Tomato Salad Special and Corn Chowder) with wine pairing and two entrees (Lamb and Shrimp/Crab Linguini) with wine pairing. Then we shared one dessert with two glasses of Moscato d'Asti. All in all with tip it was $205. Seemed a bit pricey for food that was good, but not exceptional. Service was fine, again not exceptional."
Dined on 1/4/2014
Great food, our waiter was very
nice and knew the menu very well."
Dined on 1/3/2014
Went with a group of 6 people for
NYE. The restaurant was decorated for NYE with beads and hats on the table which was a nice surprise. It was not a fixed menu which was great. I ordered the surf and terf. The steak was great the lobster was not. The crab appatizer was very good. Overall ambiance was great, service was great."
Dined on 12/31/2013
We sat at our table for 10+
minutes waiting for ANYONE to come and ask us if we would like something to drink. Apparently the only person that cared was the bus boy as he filled up our glasses as soon as we arrived. Finally I just grabbed someone and ordered drinks. We ordered the blue crab dip as our app and it was overly cheesy though granted it had chunks of crab in it, however the taste of anything else in there was overshadowed by the excessive amounts of cheese. Boyfriend ordered the lamb dish which was wonderful all around. I ordered the tenderloin w/ oxtail ravioli and though my tenderloin was cooked to medium rare perfection the sauce it sat in was extremely salty along w/ the oxtail ravioli. I give this visit 3.5 stars."

We always enjoy the experience at
Glass Wall - from the reception at valet parking through table service. The menu offers variety, unique combinations and the presentation meets expectations. Appreciate the recommended wine pairings and generally they do not disappoint."

everything was wonderful, the
service, food was excellent, only disappointment was the crème brulee - grainy texture, not what we are accustom to"
