  • "I think we have finally established Georges as our favorite,so it might not be fair to say how wonderful it is each and every time BUT it has been these last 4 years. Ned, our server is fantastic. Joe, manager, couldn't be any better. Really make you feel welcome. We love that. "

  • "I had previously been hesitant to eat at a "French" restaurant but now I'm regretting waiting so long!! All of our dishes were incredible, from the French Onion soup, to the Goat Cheese Tart, to the Duck, and the Flounder special. Best choice of the night was the Pistachio Crème Brule!! We will definitely eat here again."

  • "I have always enjoyed Georges Brasserie especially for special occasions. The ambience is perfect, service great and always leave knowing we made the right choice."

  • "Had a wonderful meal on Georges patio this weekend. Dined with another couple and the food, drink and conversation were all wonderful. Georges has become a solid staple in our dining routine - we don't ever seem to be disappointed in what we order (which tends to be seafood and always oysters!). Can't wait to go back again soon."

  • "I visited this restaurant for what I thought would be a celebratory Sunday Brunch in honor of my 80 yr old father's birthday this past Sunday. I read reviews and the location seemed perfect since I was visiting my parents from Raleigh. I made a note on Open Table that we would be celebrating his birthday. I then told the main hostess (manager?) upon check in that we were celebrating his birthday. NOT ONE MENTION was made of his birthday so the hostess did not tell the server. I didn't expect a lot of freebies, but I did expect my father to be treated special on a milestone day and he was not. It was embarrassing. However, our server was great, the food was great and I would like to try it again one evening when not celebrating an occasion."

  • "We had always heard George's was good and we can confirm it by experience. Everything was perfect. I had the Boullabaise and it was unlike any I've ever had. The wine was excellent. Our server was top notch. We were celebrating our anniversary and it the absolute right place to be for a wonderful night out."

  • "This was our first visit, given as gift from our children. Server, Kenny, was outstanding. Food was very good, even if a little pricey. Will defiantly be returning."

  • "We had a very special evening and the food was exceptional. Service was prompt and courteous. My only negative response was the volume of the music. I would return!"

  • "A lovely dinner with friends, eating outside on a beautiful, warm night, what could be better. We shared two appetizers - mussels in wine sauce and butter poached lobster with black garlic beurre blanc (TDF!). All of our meals were delicious (salmon, pork chop, scallops, and beef short rib), perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding. This restaurant will not disappoint."

  • "I should probably cut and paste my review. Always great service, thanks to Ned- our server, and Chef Andrew. His coming by the table to say "Hi" and talk about the food makes the night...... well that, and the DeGaul Signature Martinis. I wouldn't have more than one- they are lethal..... and addictive. It's always a Hollywood moment when we dine at GB."

  • "Absolutely love this place. The food and service were excellent. Duck, lamb, and mussels are to die for! Excellent food and terrific service and atmosphere. Our waiter had a suggestion for everything we asked about (food and wine). It is the perfect combo of casual and formal with a modern yet classic decor. We plan to return with our teenage children and have highly recommended it to our friends. Price is fair and somewhat inexpensive considering the quality and amount of food."

  • "This was our first time dining at Georges Brasserie but it won't be our last. Everything we had was delicious and well prepared, and the service was attentive without being pushy. We will return soon!"

  • "George's has always been one of my go to restaurants in Charlotte. I'm sad to say after dinner there this week, it is getting cut from my list. I had family in town and we truly love "French Bistro" concept. We frequent Brasserie in Wilmington and Coquette in Raleigh, which never disappoint. Our dinner last night was average, our bill was wrong, and they charged us for a "complimentary" dish that was offered by the manager, to make up for the lackluster raw bar portion of our meal!"

  • "We were in Charlotte for the weekend visiting family and stopped here for dinner. The food was OK, I had the beef bourguignon, not great, but not bad - I've had better. One interesting point, I asked the bartender/server for a Negroni (Campari, Gin and Vermouth) and she didn't have a clue how it was made, needless to say it wasn't the best. Again, the food was OK, but I probably wouldn't go back."

  • "This was my first time eating here and from the valet service to the food I was BLOWN away. Service was outstanding and I must say the Duck was Very good as well. My Girlfriend was also very impressed with the place and to coin a phrase-We'll be back!. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants good food and wonderful atmosphere. I'm sure in the summertime this place is packed."

  • "Everything about our luncheon visit was an absolute pleasure. The valet, the wait staff, the hostess, and best of all our server, Kenny made us feel most welcome. The Raw Bar appetizer was perfect. My wife's favorite was the Beet and Arugula Salad. Can I say it again? The Raw Bar appetizer was perfect. Everything else was merely great. Kenny, our server, was a real pro."

  • "Georges Brasserie is always reliably good. Nice French atmosphere, good service and very good food. I do wish there was a little more variety in the menu, but everything we have ever had was excellent."

  • "George's is always a win. The food and service are excellent - and the ambiance is upscale but not stuffy, The short rib, scallops, beet salad and chocolate mousse are a sure bet. You can't go wrong here. I would not bring children to this restaurant (as a side note). It's definitely an adult atmosphere."

  • "The lunch was only marred by an idiot who brought a dog and tied the dog outside. It's barking was irritating but I don't think the mgmnt could do anything about this....."

  • "We have never had a BAD experience at George's, and the Mardi Gras promo was very good. Food and service, perfect. What would have made it perfect would have been if the MUSIC being played would have been good old New Orleans Mardi Gras music. I'd rather have had none, or a CD - what we got didn't fit. Maybe next time."

  • "George's Brasserie is the perfect French dining experience in Charlotte! The food is exceptional, and we consider it the best and most authentic French restaurant in the Charlotte area. Being a brasserie, it is slightly less casual, so not "stuffy" like some French restaurants tend to be. The ambience is extremely inviting, while still providing a fine dining experience which includes white table linens and exceptional service. We especially enjoy the patio in the summer and the annual Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras party, with a live jazz band from New Orleans!"

  • "Wow! Incredible food. We dined on 3/1/14 for our anniversary. It was really nice that the restaurant sat us in one of the booths on the edge of the room. The restaurant got pretty noisy, but being on the edge made it quieter so that was good. We had the beet salad, the onion and goat cheese tart. Hubby had the pork chops and I had the scallops. We had the blondie for dessert. Our server was excellent, but seemed to have a lot of tables, so she was extremely rushed (she had no choice). We would have given this 5 starts because the food was "spot on". I mean delicious. Can't say enough good things about the food. The only reason for 4 stars is they needed less tables per server. Food amazing, service was not amazing."

  • "From the start of the complimentary Valet until we were on our way home, a very wonderful experience. Food was outstanding, our Waitress, Jeanee, was warm & sweet, & the Manager, Kurt, was so nice & very knowledgeable. It was my wife's birthday & they made the evening fun & special. And on a Sunday night, no less! That is usually one of the worst days to go to a restaurant. cocktails were not as good as they should be but everything else, the escargot, the lobster & gnocchi appetizer, the bread, the trout & short ribs entrée, the chocolate mousse & indulgence cappuccino, were superb! I highly recommend this place for a special occasion or for a fine dining experience ... at half the price of Fleming's! We have a new favorite place to go."

  • "We chose Georges for a birthday dinner. The food was very good, portions were large. The birthday girl scored a free dessert, which was also to die for. The only downside was that light was sparse (menu reading was a challenge) and it was noisy. The restaurant was crowded (Saturday night at 8:30), indicating a popular spot to us."

  • "We had a terrific date night on our first visit to Georges. I had an idea of what I wanted before I went, but the waiter mentioned a 3 for $30 offer similar to Restaurant Week. It was a good call. I had the escargot in a puff pastry, salmon, and chocolate mousse for dessert. All three courses were great. Good taste and presentation. The waiter and staff were very attentive. The only "issue" was a particularly festive birthday group near us. I can't blame them, but it would have been nice to have them away from the other diners instead of in the middle where everyone around them was interrupted by the woo's, squeals, and tears of their festivities."

  • "Our first experience with Georges Brasserie was at our company christmas party, we had a private room off the main dining area. The staff was great, the menu selection was accomidating to various tastes & budget and was extremely delicious. Our second visit was this Valentines weekend. We wanted to go back to try other items on the menu that were not available at the party, however we found out at last minute that there would be a somewhat preset menu for the holiday weekend, was a little concerened, but was definitely not a let down. The choices for the appetizer, main course & dessert were all amazing. It was actually very easy to decide. The special champagne cocktails they were featuring that evening ...well,,, they went down too easy!!"

  • "There's a reason why Georges Brasserie is our favorite restaurant in Charlotte - consistency. We dined for Valentine's Day and the prix fixe chef's menu was spectacular. Each dish was expertly prepared and in the appropriate portion size. The value for the price was worth every penny and we couldn't be more satisfied with Georges exceptional kitchen staff. Our only suggestion is to bring back the wonderful Schnitzel dish that's sometimes offered. It is equally a hit!"
