   Usually great food. Was a bit disappointed this time as the fish was somewhat dry and bland. Shrimp appetizer was excellent and filet was good. Service is always very good.

   We enjoyed our experience at Gaylord’s. The hostess wasn’t friendly but our server was great! She was timely and quick with bringing drinks and our food. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen and unfortunately two of our four meals were barely like warm. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We so enjoyed a meal in the light Kauai rain. The grounds are lovely and you definitely feel like you are on an island. We would go back.

   The Short Ribs and the Signature Oscar were perfect. I particularly enjoyed the Monchong fish and the accompanying sauce. The asparagus in both dinners were the best we’ve ever had. The waitress was very informative and attentive and made us feel at home. The outdoor ambiance was very relaxing. We will be back very soon!

   Menu choices were somewhat limited, but the food itself - along with the presentation - was quite nice. However, our experience was significantly hampered by the loud, pounding noise from the luau being put on at the same time on the same property.

   Location is historically interesting and unique. Food was well presented and delicious. Staff was kind and attentive. I love the place.

   We were seated about 15 min. after our reservation. I had made a request for a certain area in the reservation, but it was not honored. We were seated in a less desirable area by a hostess who didn't seem to care about anyone but herself. Our waiter was very good. My husband loved his fish lunch, and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I had to send it back because it was cold. The second one came out hot, but instead of the sauce being fruity as described on the menu, it was quite spicy and not fruity at all. I didn't really enjoy it. Previous visits have been MUCH different and MUCH better than this one.
