If you are eating sushi, steak, salad, lamb chops or anything in between, the food is absolutely delicious. We dine at Fushimi once a week and are always pleased. It is always a bonus when Tina Kenny & The Balance are entertaining on a Friday night.

The food was great, the restaurant looked great, everything was fabulous. Great for fun couple, group of friends, or solo time. I'd definitely go back. We ordered the specialty rolls, they were tasty!

Been to both Bay Ridge & Williamaburg. SI is very small, in a small strip mall & pics are deceiving. Ie, Budda seems in pics, huge & he's only 2ft in a cove Behind bar. Service ok, but waiter seemed to have difficulties understanding. Overall not bad, but definitely wouldn't go back. Bay Ridge is much closer, cheaper (no bridge to pay as we live in Bay Ridge) & very nice. Williamsburg has nice decor. Both excellent staff...In SI didn't even get a "good night, thanks for coming"...sorry SI!

We had a great time. The food was excellent and the service was also very good. They did not rush you and were pleasant. We made reservations telling them it was our 30th wedding anniversary and there was no acknowledgement by the restaurant. That was a little disappointment. Overall a good place to dine..

The presentation is beautiful, the food creative and delicious! Fushimi serves fresh, creative sushi at reasonable prices for what you get. Try the Seabass appetizer - a piece of freshly roasted Seabass with an amazing sauce. We love Fire and Ice and Sex on the Beach sushi rolls! Their risotto balls are amazing too!

Fushimi is my go to spot for a nice sushi dining experience. Decor is trendy, service is attentive and food is delicious! If you're looking for a place to go for drinks, a nice lunch or dinner, this is the place! For Mother's Day, they even presented a small sake as a gift for my mom!

We were looking forward to am outstanding experience based on the recommendation of our daughter. Unfortunately that was not the case. The sushi was very tiny almost microscopic. We asked for some modifications to the sushi and the waiter told us that was not possible. The salmon was dry. The sea bass was not bad, but the waiter was reluctant to change the sauce even though I told him I could not eat shellfish. He did eventually give me teriaky sauce but said he didnt think it would taste good. The fried bananas were tasteless. The ice tea was too sweet.. The only items that were tasty were the goat cheese appetizer and the orgasmic white chocolate martini.

I fell in love with sushi a few years ago and whenever I can I indulge in the succulence of yellow tail, my all time favorite. I have been to numerous sushi restaurants in Manhattan, and Fushimi is by far the most outstanding sushi I have eaten. I love anything sushi--I even love sashimi, and am not afraid to try something new and unique. I trust in Fushimi and love everything about them. Highly recommend them to everyone.

There really aren't too many good sushi restaurants on Staten Island. Fushimi is always good. Always fresh. They had a great price fix menu for restaurant week. I do miss their chef's tasting menu that they used to have. That was a really fun way of trying various dishes out. It was expensive, but worth it.

Had the sashimi platter. The fish was as good as it gets. It would be nice if there was a smaller size available--it was just a little too large for a moderate eater.

Super fresh delicacies like live uni, and live scallop, prepared by the skilled sushi chefs, make it the best place for sushi and sashimi on Staten Island. The service aims to please, and it's a hip and lively scene most nights.

We were able to get this spot on Staten Island relatively late leading up to NYE and expected to be limited to the NYE packages as well. This place had sections for those looking to only have the NYE package, but we actually had the option to choose a meal and drinks as it was a regular night, and have our own cozy area to our selves near a window, and still be within view of a TV to see the ball drop. We had some amazing food, drinks, and even danced a little near the floor by one of the bars! This was a wonderful value, and a great idea, not to mention, our server was on point, very helpful!! Thanks very much!!

Fushimi has great sushi, although a little over priced. The service was good, however they served the white wine without being chilled and despite having an Open Table reservation I still had to wait 15 minutes for our table. It's worth visiting, the food is great and the service is friendly.

Food is outstanding and delicious. There are enough choices for the style and cooking of the food for all tastes and diets. Although this place may be represented as a sushi place, it's not just that. There are steaks, chicken and plenty of fish dishes and appetizers available for everyone. You do need to try the sushi if you've never had it. Service is excellent and the waitresses are very helpful in explaining choices. Noise level is terrible however. We went on a Staurday night around 7:30. If you are looking for a quiet romantic evening, forget it.

I was not crazy about the servers and the menu was good until you try and ask for a small portion of rice and you can't get that, it only comes in one size! The food was okay nothing to write home about. The baby potatoes were from a can the flavor or can was still on it. The Chicken was good and the sauce, that was about it.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 8/31/2012
Having moved from Manhattan to Staten Island not long ago, we were longing to find a good-to-excellent restaurant for enjoying super-fresh sushi and sashimi, good sake, and authentic Japanese food in a pleasant setting. Fushimi surpassed our expectations in every regard. All dishes ordered were excellent to outstanding. Presentation of the food was dramatically beautiful, served in timely fashion. The waitstaff is highly knowledgeable warm, and responsive. Live deejay the night we were there, contributing to a fun and happening atmosphere. Only complaint is that television screens are distracting and unnecessary. Fushimi has joined our short list of places we will return to, with friends and family.
