  • "They were absolutely above and beyond to attending our every need, and then some! It was nice to be treated so well and so much courtesy it was wonderful. The food was good, the salad bar could use a bit more variety but other than that it was excellent."

  • "All the food items are top-notch. You could easily make your meal from the fantastic salad bar itself, but when you see all the wonderful meats being served, you cannot resist!! Great dining experience and wonderful staff."

  • "My husband and I have wanted to try Fogo de Chao for quite some time and were able to get a sitter for a night out. We felt rushed from the time we entered the restaurant until we left. We were seated in a small (obviously private) dining area in a back corner. The waiter imposed a mediocre $19.50 shrimp cocktail appetizer on us before we'd even had a chance to ask questions. The food on the salad bar was average, at best, with a herd mentality of mass chaos surrounding the bar. I could have cooked and seasoned most of the meats better myself. The bacon-wrapped fillet was woefully over cooked; ribs were inedibly chewy; sirloin bland. We waited most of our stay for them to finally bring around the meats we requested. We will not return."

  • "This is a great space in a neat area. The entertainment district in Rosemont is a new area and Fogo de Chao is a perfect anchor. As always great food and great service!"

  • "You can't go wrong with a killer salad bar followed by tons of meat! Always great and a good place to entertain business guests."

  • "Overall a pretty good value if you are hungry and like meat. Plan to spend some time. The food did not arrive as quickly as we may have wished, but the concept is fun and you will be happy. They have an excellent salad bar. they Probably hope you will fill up on the salads so you consume less meat. Good S.American wine selection seemed overpriced. Order wines you recognize if you can."

  • "This is not a place for the light eaters. It is a little on the pricy side so you want to make sure you are getting your moneys worth. If you are a picky steak person it might not be the place for you because of how the meat is prepared. I loved it. I ate a lot of food. Lots of variety, great service. Servers are very attentive here. Overall, great experience."

  • "We were seated right away and then a bit ignored. Salad bar was so so. Squeezed in the corner and it was hard to get the attention of the servers/carvers. Go to the Chicago Loop location, much better overall."

  • "I had not been to the new location before but ave been down town many times however not for quite a few years. Our service was very slow and we had a hard time understanding our server. We would be offered another drink or to send someone over with a different type of meat or one perhaps cooked more the way we preferred but then they never came back and we waited a long time for drink refills and the family's style side dishes. I was disappointed as my companions had never been there and they were not impressed. It's a lot of money to be disappointed. :("

  • "The cuts of meat are excellent! One flip of your green card and you could have up to five gauchos hovering over you to serve you one of the many cuts of meat. Lamb, beef, sausage and chicken. The Sea Bass and shrimp cocktail are extraordinary as well! It's hard not to fill up on the wonderful salad bar with an array of specialties and can be a meal in its self. The service is so attentive by all employees of Fogo from the waiters, the gauchos and management. The wines from Brazil are a good choice. I tried the dark Brazilian beer as well and to my surprise I liked it! All the desserts are delicious and I highly recommend the specialty the papaya cream with casis."

  • "Boyfriend & I took his son to an early birthday dinner. The entire experience was amazing- the pool of servers were all extremely professional, attentive, and generous. The food was phenomenal to the point where we were so stuffed yet couldn't stop eating. We were pleased to see when they brought a delicious dessert for the birthday boy on the restaurant's behalf. We very much enjoyed it all and will definitely be back. Thank you Fogo de Chao!!"

  • "Went to Fogo up celebrate 2 special occasions...6 month wedding anniversary and 50th birthday. Good was delicious as usual. The service at the Rosemont location was not just attentive but friendly and accommodating. Great evening and wonderful family time. They even took our reservations into consideration and brought out two comp desserts for our occasions."

  • "The restaurant in the city center is better than this one. If you prefer Fogo de Chao I recommend the old one."

  • "The food is out of the world. So many things to choose from it never ends. Make at least 2 trips to the salad bar with some meat in between. We had the worst seats in the place kept getting bumped into. Was charged for an extra drink. They look surprised when i brought it up. Not sure if ill return."

  • "I have been to many Fogo de Chao's in the country, including Chicago, Orlando, and now this one. The Chicago location is by far the best, at least customer service wise. When you flip over your card a gaucho is there immediately to serve you meat. There was not enough medium rare meat. There are some nice things this location has. 1. They validate your parking. 2. Lunch is less expensive than the Chicago location. 3. It is less crowded. 4. Traffic is a easier to get to the Rosemont location. I will probably go back to Rosemont location due to pricing and convenience."

  • "The service was impeccable. What can I say? You literally have 4-5 people serving you: the waiter, the waiter's assistant (I think), a bus boy, and the gauchos serving the meet. It seems that someone is always handy, but without being overbearing - still plenty of privacy. The food is unbelievable. The salad bar was fresh and varied. The meat skewers are better than most steak houses, and that's saying a lot, considering this is the Chicago area, and there are a lot of excellent steak houses here. The wine list is pricey, but good. The cocktails are excellent, and they have native Brazilian cocktails, liquors and beers. Which you never see anywhere else. I will definitely return."

  • "We celebrated my birthday at Fogo. The service by Vasilas was excellent and the food was out of this world! They have an extraordinary salad bar which could be a meal in itself. You turn your card up and suddenly you are surrounded by Mannie and many other Gauchos ready to slice one of their 15 meats. Beef, chicken and lamb. You should try the signature cocktail. We also tried the Brazilian beer which is dark but smooth. The signature wine from Brazil is reasonable. We tried the Cabernet. Make sure you save room for the wonderful desserts. The papaya creme actually will add in digestion. The coffee they serve is Geva and it is very good. Mimi and Rinauldo were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed and she is so pleasant."

  • "Having been to many Brazilian Steak Houses, I do enjoy the wide variety of meats and the vast salad bar. I can't say the salad bar at Fogo is better than their competitor in Schaumburg/Wood Field, but the variety and overall taste of the meats were, in my opinion, much better. We came for my daughters 13th birthday and they gave us a nice cake and skipped the happy bday singing (which she was grateful for). The only thing that bothered me a little bit was the multiple charges for soda. They bring you an actual small glass bottle of soda so this is probably how they justify it on the bill, but when you spend $400 for 5 people you really don't want and appreciate $30 plus dollars of that bill to be for soft drinks."

  • "I had a reservation for 4 for my son's 14th birthday. We arrived early and stopped at the bar for a glass of wine for my wife, and soft drinks for me /kids. I ordered from one bartender, and he passed the order to another. After waiting for 15-20 minutes (and correcting him on the wine, as the first bartender had it wrong), we were called to dinner. My wife never received her wine at the bar. When we got to the table, I clearly indicated it was my son's birthday (in opentable notes and upon arriving), and yet it was never celebrated/acknowledged. When we received our bill, it was wrong, they overcharged on the # of glasses of wine and my 12 year old daughter was charged the full fee. Food is pretty good, but the service was poor."

  • "The meats are always outstanding, and very tasty no mater what type is brought to the table. My minor complaint was the chicken breast which was a bit dry. Cocktails where great, the salad bar was plenty with the " not the typical " offerings Service was impeccable! The manager greeted us several times asking if we wanted a particular meat that had not arrived. Worth the experience you meat-lovers!"

  • "Made a reservation and were seated right at our time. The staff was friendly, professional and met all your needs. The food was very good, would have like larger sides but was Ok as they were refilled. Salad bar was basic and missing some items, but then again you there for the the cuts of meat. I did notice that if you have a larger group you seem to get more attention or first with the cuts of meat as they come from the kitchen, we waited a longer period at some times then other for hot items such a filet or lamb. Overall I would recommend, and go back again"

  • "Overall good experience. Great touch with providing a fruit bowl to my child as a complimentary dessert, thank you for that. Our table was situatedright next to the kitchen and the salad bar and that did not cause the romantic and somewhat private atmosphere wecwere hoping for to celebrate our special occasion, it felt busy and in the center of attention as everyone who wad passong by on their way to/from the kitchen kind of felt obligated to ask how are we doing. Food was delicious however the resturant had slimmer meat selection than Texas de Brazill restaurant we have also visited during restaurant week. The desert was delicious, especially the chocolate musse cake.We noticed lack of music in the background so the place seemed noisy."

  • "This was our first time. I had heard, for years, how amazing this restaurant was. It definitely did not disappoint. The food was delicious as expected but, what I noticed more, was the incredibly sweet, attentive staff. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Great experience. Highly recommend."

  • "At 5pm they block out the adjacent parking lot and charge $7 for Valet. They basically make you pay the valet fee. This started a bad experience. I expect to have to valet in the city when dining out, not in Rosemont. If they want to offer Valet they should park somewhere else and leave the adjacent lot available."

  • "Please advocate for better access to your Rosemont restaurant and other businesses nearby! It took us nearly an hour off the exit to arrive at the restaurant! As we had not been there before, so it was hard to know which lane to be in, in advance and traffic was so backed up - onto freeway - other motorists were not willing to let people switch lanes! We were very stressed by the time we arrived."

  • "Since we have been to the downtown Fogo De Chau & other Brazilian steak houses, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The service and personal treatment was Excellent, surroundings and ambiance fantastic & of course the food was plentiful and very good. Would highly recommend skimping on the great salad bar before dinner or you will be wasting your money because the great variety of freshly char cooked meat never stops coming for dinner & by filling up with salad bar your extreme meat dinner experience will be lessened! There are no menus to choose dinners from, except for a photo menu of the various meats they will be carving for you at your table. Also some tasty twice baked mashed potatoes will be replenished often."

  • "This place was much better than I was expecting since I am not a meat fan. The salad bar was outstanding. I think I tried one of everything. Everything was fresh and clean. They even offered to saute my vegetables for me. My husband loved the meat and the side dishes that came with each meal. I loved the little room we sat in to be away from the big crowd since it was our anniversary. They even surprised us with a "Happy Anniversary" written on our dessert. This was an amazing place and I would recommend to anyone."
