  • "Hostess didn't have our open table reservation but was still able to seat us Friendly and attentive servers- but felt extremely rushed liked they wanted to flip the table. Salad station had tasty options. We didn't get fresh plates for our meat course and was expecting more variety in the meat dishes. They also picked up people's plates before everyone else was done with that course I had expressed it was my sister's birthday- all the desserts were delivered-including what she ordered first- then they brought a piece of cake with a candle - seemingly an after thought. So overall everything was good but not exceptional"

  • "I love this place and over the years it has stayed amazing. I wanted to go here for my 23rd birthday and I was not disappointed. It was perfect becuase even though it is a Brazilian Steakhouse they have an awesome Salad bar as one of my friends was a Vegetarian. Service was fantastic except for a little slow on the drinks at times but either way it was a great birthday and I can't wait for another special occasion to go again!"

  • "We were unimpressed by the meat or the drinks (we had caipirinhas to keep the experiences authentically Mexican). The only/best option was the filet. Either save yourself the calories by going and getting a real steak at one of the Chicago steakhouses or go to Zed451 for the Brazilian steakhouse option."

  • "Wait staff and manager very friendly and helpful. Had no issues getting preferred cuts of meat as needed. Meat was excellent. We liked their specialty "C-cut" top sirloin, filet mignon, bottom sirloin the best. Salad bar is outstanding. Many fresh and unusual items. Need not be a carnivore to enjoy (although I am and am proud of it!). There are fish entrees and a salad-bar only options. Pricey but worth it for a splurge occasion."

  • "I love most everything. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was appealing. My server was pretty good. I must say that the Assistant Manager, Paul Ritchie made the experience all the more memorable. He made sure our special occasion was a great experience. The only dissapointment we experienced was slow service for the meat coming to our table. To which Mr. Ritchie did more than his best to make sure that we were taken care of in a timely manor. Please advise your servers that all of their guest are equally special and not to overlook anyone. But, Mr. Ritchie, is maticulous and a good example of how people in Customer should conduct themselves. I will return to this establishment, partly due to his Customer Service and the food!!!"

  • "This was my first time at Fogo but had heard plenty. As expected, the food was DELICIOUS! You must come with an appetite. We were celebrating my mom's birthday, and the ambiance was great for a celebration and most age groups (I wouldn't recommend brining small children). The house special was my favorite, but all meats were prepared spectacularly and the gaucho's were pleased to adjust for you. My only complaint was that it was SO noisy it was difficult to hold a long conversation. Even so, still worth it!"

  • "It was our first time and my boyfriend's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The salad bar was great, lots of variety and went well with the meats. It was my first time really trying steak since normally the most I ever had was a bite from my boyfriend's steak. I really like the different selections. I liked that they also prepared the chicken breast for me without bacon since I don't eat pork. They also especially prepared things well done. The manager kept coming around to make sure we were satisfied and if we didn't spot something then it was sent over to us immediately. Since it was my boyfriend's birthday, I requested on open table to do something special. They comped us for the molten lava cake that I requested for him. "

  • "Made my usual visit to Fogo while in Chicago on Thursday. Always a must for the great salad bar and the skewers of meat served at one's table. The restaurant was initially not as busy as in the past but gradually filled up as groups arrived. The selection of meats seemed smaller this time but were still of top quality. I noted also that the signature gaucho outfits were not worn by the servers but the service was top rate as usual. Of the three locations I have eaten at, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia, this is still the original, for me, and the favorite one for me, although it has the least ambience. For dessert the papaya cream is not to be missed. Moderately expensive but still good value. A great experience as ever."

For a personal flare you can ask for your favorite condiments. If you love bbq sauce or chimichuri they`ve got it. Their mixed drinks are also very good. Let them know if you are there for a special. occasion and they will ensure you have a special evening."

  • "I've been wanting to come to fogo de chao for quite some time. After looking for somewhere to book a reservation for my husbands b-day, i decided on this restaurant. My husband is a silently critical brat. When asked if he likes something, its always a shrug or an, "it's alright". I knew i had to really grab his interest this year and i made the perfect choice. From valet to the greet team at the front, very welcoming and friendly. The wait was not long at all, 4 minutes tops! Servers were very proffesional, didnt hound us but carefully watched for us to flip our cards from a distance. The drinks were amazing, Food was even better! Overall an unforgettable experience... my husband nodded and smiled the entire time. We loved it, thank you"

  • "My first time visiting this spot and my experience was horrible in the beginning. One server managed to knock a while glass of water into my purse! BUT....after the incident the manager and staff went out of their way to make sure my date and I left out of there HAPPY! The food and dessert was delicious AND the drinks were great....I appreciate the hospitality and attention given by the staff after the unfortunate incident. I will definitely visit again ;-)"

  • "Having dined many times before this experience felt rushed. Normally a table side delight of many fine cuts of beef, pork, chicken or sausages. Gauchos were sloppy, and non-existent, had to flag down server for specific requests. This on top of waiting 45 min on a made reservation. The chocolate molten cake, tirimisu and server are the reasons for the 3 star review."

You won't want to do this every week or even every month, but it's a great place to celebrate and feast until you're full. I especially loved the garlic beef and the lamb. "

  • "Went for lunch with my sister and her husband, visiting from out of town. Took my 6 and 7 year old. The kids love the salad bar and tried bits of meat. Trips to the salad bar and watching the gauchos walk around with meat on swords was entertainment for them. Adults all had salad bar and tried all the different cuts of meat. Service was excellent. If there was a specific cut of meat we wanted, but hadn't seen come around on a sword- one of the servers would direct that cut over to us. Severs work in teams for the table, so there was always someone paying attention. My son had one less cherry in his Shirley Temple than his sister did. He complained to me, and before I knew it - a server was at the table with extra cherries for the kids. "

  • "This restaurant has a super staff all working togethe. They are amazing even when the restaurant is crowded. Come hungry, so you csn make a dent in trying all the carved meat. My daughter and I shared each slice, so we could sample a little longer than if we finished each piece individually. The salad bar was filled with treats, but remember to leave room for the meat! We had a wonderful fruity lemonade cocktail. The creme rule was perfect as well. Nice job Gaunchos!"
