  • "Fogo de Chao was our first choice for our Easter Brunch. At the time of our reservation, the restaurant had a decent crowd but we didnt feel e smothered by everyone. We have been to some restaurants during other holidays and it appeared they packed as many tables (and people) in as they could. The food preparation and customer service was top notch. The house special sirloin was our favorite and the options on the salad bar were tempting but be careful......you'll want to save some room for the entree's!"

  • "The staff seemed overwhelmed on the night we were there. It took forever to get our table, and the host never checked on with us. I had called the restaurant earlier to ask if we could push the reservation back fifteen minutes and I was told No. Well considering they didn't seat us until almost seven thirty... I'm puzzled by the denial of my request. The place was so packed that you were like cattle going around the salad bar. Our primary waiter was great, but I can't recall his name This was our second, and probably last time. The price tag is just too hefty. I can't eat $60 worth of meat, I'm not sure anyone I know can. Considering the loudness and lack of intimacy I can't see how spending that much is justified."

  • "Great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, which we did. The food is great, the service excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The wait staff was a very doting crew and worked as a team so you didn't have to wait for one server to help you. It's a bit pricey but well worth it."

  • "We tasted most of the meats on the menu. A large variety were very chewy and contained some gristle. We have enjoyed Fogo many times before . This experience was good but not at the level we have enjoyed in Houston and Dallas."

  • "Our son wanted to celebrate his 21st birthday by having us take him here. None of us had been to a Fogo de Chao before. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastically friendly and helpful. The salad bar was fresh and delicious and healthy. The meats were superb. Very impressed."

  • "I would go back for the just the salad bar--never been to one so filled w/ cheeses, salmon, breads. And the meat served to table, well, my goodness! The ribs and steak-just wow!"

  • "Could not have been more pleased with the total experience!!!"

  • "All the meats were very enjoyable. The service left something to be desired. Did not see my head waiter after an initial visit. Had to flag down a waiter to ask for the check."

  • "Some of the reviews said that the service and the salad bar werent that great but I disagree. I was a little hesitant because of the price but thought the whole experience was great! My friend had a salad only and thought that was really expensive. This place was a lot nicer than I expected. We will be back!"

  • "We went here to celebrate my 40th birthday, and I can't imagine a better choice. The salad bar alone could've been a full meal, but we saved plenty of room for the meet storm which followed. Nicely done Fogo de Chao. The waitstaff was super friendly, and the drinks from the bar were fantastic. Not sure how to spell it, but the Caipirinha (The national drink of Brazil) is fantastic"

  • "If you are looking for a different type of dining experience, you'll find it here! Begin with the salad bar, which is laden with wonderfully fresh, beautifully presented choices that range from your basic salad offerings to smoked salmon and a variety of hot appetizers. Then, flip over that thing that looks like a coaster at your place from red to green, and let the procession of meats begin! Steaks, lamb, chicken, sausage...you choose whatever you like, as much as you like, as your servers come by with hunks of meat on skewers that they will slice to your liking (rare? well done?) while you grab with your tongs and pull the tasty morsel onto your plate. When you're ready for a break, simply turn your coaster back to red (stop!). Loved it!"

  • "I was surprised to find that the quality and taste of the meat at the Austin location was very different from that at the Addison Texas location. The meat was not as well seasoned and some of it was actually dry. I've never had that experience at Fogo in Addison. The service was good overall and the manager did check in with us on several occasions and make sure that someone came over with the meats that we wanted. Two areas of service that were surprising to me: 1. I had to ask for the house special before it came buy. 2. One of the servers promised to bring me back a certain cut cooked to my liking but never returned. 3. Sausage never came around to our table. If I'm in Austin again for dinner, I wont come back to this location."

  • "The waiter never came by , I asked for coffee and he went on to have a Conversation for about 15 mins with the table next to us. I asked for the check and another 20 mins went by and when I finally saw him He says " they are fixing your Chech, there was a problem or something like that," Then another 10 mins one of the waitresses comes and says " Did someone come by to ask you about your complimentary dessert?" And we were like " no," then she proceeds to say oh ok well here is your check with a comp dessert on it But just ignore that ..., wow! Nice , right ?"

  • "some of the meat is great, some not so much, but overall it is a nice place and if you are taking out work friends or family it's a good bet"
    Dined on 11/22/2013
  • "Although I had made reservations, we still had to wait 15 min for a table. Not terrible, but when your paying $50+ per person, you'd think they'd have tables ready. Again, for the price, the food is just not worth it. Special requests, like a piece of meat cooked more that medium rare, came 30 minutes after I requested it, if it came at all. I didn't get to try some of the entrées because they simply didn't come back. With the exception of the chicken drums and one of the sliced beef cuts, everything was over seasoned and way too fatty. With Vincent Youngs and Flemings right around the corner, I just can't justify the cost of this place for the quality of food given. Unless you can eat 5 lbs of meat in one sitting, go somewhere else."

  • "I had a visitor in town, my cousin, who is also an executive chef at a country club across the state. I thought this restaurant might be a little unusual for him; evidently they don't have one near him, although he had heard of it. He was very favorably inclined, and really loved the method of service. It had been about six years since I'd seen him: I have a feeling he'll be back sooner next time, if only to enjoy Fogo de Chao again! (The visit was wonderful, also!)"

  • "I have now been twice. Although they are very very busy. The staff is attentive, understanding and quick. The food is amazing. We had a large group of us and two of them had birthdays. Fogo's staff finished the night off with a dessert with a candle for each of them and even wrote happy birthday on the plate. Its the little things that make the difference."

  • "This Southern Brazilian restaurant is noted for the high quality and huge quantity of meat. When you have this need, go here. Set your expectations for all the rest to 3* and you will come away happy, satisfied and full."

  • "My four little boys loved all the selections of meats and taking them off a spear. The sale bar was good, the rice and beans were good, and the fixings were good. My favorite was the caipirinha! We had good service- not too much not too little, we had excellent selections in meat. Overall it was a great meal."

  • "A table of 6 young men celebrating a 17th birthday had a great time at Fogo. (And the 4 adults at a nearby table had a great time, too.) It's a carnivore's delight, and of course perfect for that sort of occasion. The service was great and the food, of course, was heaven to them."

  • "Wow have to say this was disappointing.... All we did was WAIT on our food. The servers came by once in a while. We had to continually ask for them to come by and bring the meat. The noise was incredible. My husband and I couldn't carry on a conversation without almost having to shout. So even though the food was good, won't be going here again....."

  • "We were multi-generational party of six, on a very busy Saturday night. Our rez was honored promptly, and we were greeted by our primary server right away. Great self-serve appetizer/salad/veggie bar, followed by all sorts of very tasty, but not prime meats carved table-side at your behest. But it is very energetic, even chaotic with meat servers with skewers and knives running around all over the place all the time. Not romantic! If you want just any ol' type of meat, it's great -- they'll be right by. And they really are very attentive to the cards that designate you want to have some more. But if you want to focus on just one or two meats, it was sometimes a wait to get it. Our primary waiter was helpful but not always available."
