  • "What can I say? I keep coming back because the food is superb. I love the wedge salad with the large strip of bacon instead of some crumbs. The steak always comes out perfect and the waiter or manager will come over and check that it's just the way you like it. And, of course, I am told that their wine list is outstanding even though I don't usually drink wine. My martini always is just perfect including the blue cheese olives. If you like steak, you won't be disappointed."

  • "Lamb chops were great but our steaks were not cook to our liking. If you come here be very detailed on how u would like your steak prepared. I ask for my steak to be medium and I recieved my ribeye well done. My friend ask for her filet to be rare but most parts were cook to medium. I feel the kitchen may need to learn the difference in preparing steaks."

  • "Went there in celebration of my birthday with a few close friends. When we arrived we were seated immediately by a very friendly host. Our waiter came by within 5 minutes to take our drink selection and gave us the specials for the night. When my friend came with her baby, they had a swing for his seat which I was pretty impressed by. The manager came by after we started eating to make sure everything was to our liking which I always appreciate in restaurants. Overall this place is amazing. Granted the prices are a little on the high side but with the atmosphere, the service and the quality of food I think it was worth it. Will definitely come again and recommend it to anyone looking for a special occasion restaurant."

  • "We had a party of eight. It was a slow Saturday night because of rodeo. It was so incredibly noisy in this restaurant. We could barely hear each other. Food was ok. My scallops were overcooked. The rest of my party had steaks. They said they were fair and that everyone had had better steaks in Houston. Overall: too many steak restaurants in Houston to have just a "fair" meal for $40-$50pp."

  • "We enjoyed out meal and the staff were very attentive. The food was good BUT we have had MUCH better within a couple of miles. My partner had the filet and she said it didnt even come close to what we have had at Smith and Wolllensky in flavor or tenderness. I had the lamb chops and they were again good but for the price I've had better AND more at Smith and Wolllensky and Moe's. Wine list was extensive with an excellent assortment of by the glass reasonably priced wines. Been to the one in the Woodlands also and I have the impression that this is a good restaruant that the upper management tries to make exactly the same anywhere you go. That is good but the quality of food doesnt justify the price considering what is within a couple miles."

  • "Found this place on a recent stay in Houston. Came recommended from hotel staff. Very good food, but a little pricey. Should be on list for a special occasion. The owner does come over and greet you by name. Very nice touch. The wine list on an I-pad. Tacky. For that pricey of a restaurant and I-pad is tacky for a wine list. My dinner companion had the filet and I had the prime rib. Very tasty and done to perfection. Even though the suggestion is for business casual dress, we wore jeans and we were okay. If ever in Houston again, I would go back!!"

  • "I remember Fleming's food tasting better, but either the quality has greatly declined in recent years, or the fact that it was Valentine's Day and they were trying to cram as many people as possible in the restaurant to make as much $$ as possible that night could have contributed to the rushed service and poor quality food. My new motto is not to go out on Valentine's Day based on this poor dining experience. The tab was $250 for dinner for two and it was not worth it. I ordered a filet mignon and it was tough and thin. It tasted worse than what I would get at lower class steakhouse (think Salt Grass). I will not be going back."

  • "I took my friend here for her birthday because it is her favorite restaurant and I am also a fan. Under "notes" on the Open Table reservation I mentioned we were celebrating her birthday and a booth would be great. We were escorted to our booth with birthday greetings and, throughout the evening, the service was superb. Our food was delicious, as always and my birthday friend was very pleased to depart with a sinful mini-box of truffles. I might also mention that this is our favoite Happy Hour spot - especially in pretty weather when we can enjoy their patio."

  • "The food was good, but it could have been better. The bone-in ribeye was great, but the sauteed mushrooms were over-seasoned (way too much pepper for my taste). Also, my wife's redfish was a little dry. At the end of our meal, she told our waitress as a courtesy. To our surprise, the waitress came back with a gift card. She told us they were sorry and wanted us to leave happy each time we came. With such commitment to excellence, we look forward to our return visit. My only regret about this visit is that we didn't tell our waitress sooner. I'm sure they would have fixed the issues on the spot."

  • "I agree that its expensive but the dry age ribeye was worth it. Salads, sides and bread were out of this world. Waitress was tense but provided good service. Waitstaff may need some help with decanting an old wine. And the "ribeye" was closer to a sriloin strip but outstanding anyway. The beef was as good as it gets.I don't like the newfangled computerized winelist and I think it's cumbersome. Good that they have the old standard."
