A word from Flavio's Brick Oven Bar
Our casual restaurant has a retro contemporary theme which includes a carved wood bar topped with marble, granite table tops and bright turquoise and red accents flanking the wood-burning brick oven. Terrace seating is shared with our fine dining concept Bella Roma.

Flavio, a third-generation chef from Venice, Italy, says his Farinata is not available anywhere else in the area. The thin pancake (much like a tortilla) is made of chickpeas, baked in the wood-burning oven and enhanced with rosemary and other savory toppings.

Among Flavio's thin-crust pizzas (his grandfather's recipes) are the popular Quattro Stagioni (fresh mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto, olives) and the Pizza Vegetariana with assorted grilled veggies. The rustic bread and focaccia are made on the premises. Flavio's also serves up house-made pasta dishes, plus veal and seafood entrees.

I was in town just for the weekend and ended up eating at Flavios each night, once just two of us, once with a big group and one time pizza to go. The lasagna bolonaise was absolutely out of this world as was the carpaccio. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this place to anyone without hesitation."

Dessert was a highlight do not miss. The service "Team" was impressive they catered to everyone's needs very professionally andwith charm.   • "We came with a group of 9 and booked through open table. I was unsure about the atmosphere because of the pictures I saw online, but everything worked out fine. The pictures seemed misleading. The atmosphere was great. Every table was taken and our group including kids fit right in. The food was good. We had ravioli with mushrooms (very good), pizza, fish and other pasta and everyone enjoyed it. Nobody complained, and compared to the other restaurants we went to on our trip, that seemed to be the only one, everyone liked. Thumps up."

My husband loved his fish special! Very fresh and light . I had the pizza which was outstanding . My daughter had pasta and loved it. The wine the waiter recommended was perfect. We had Joe as our server and he was great! Prices we're reasonable and the atmosphere was bustling! I highly recommend this resturaunt!"

The restaurant tables were set with table linens and the atmosphere is "grown up" but not formal. The waitress had a great personality, charming and funny, and that added to our experience. We never saw the waiter again until we had to find someone to tell him we wanted our check. He delivered our check and was never seen again. The entire dining experience was like eating in fast food joint. Here is your food, eat it and get out. Of the four entrees, three were so salty, they were barely touched. I spend six weeks on Siesta Key every year on vacation and have dined there many times. This year the name has changed and so has the service and food quality. They have seen the last of me until I hear that it has improved."

We received pleasant and solicitous service and found absolutely delicious authentic Italian dishes on the menu. We left full, happy and satiated. Next time we are in Florida, we will be back."
