Food quality is exceptionally high and fresh. Presentation is always outstanding. But pretty food needs fabulous flavor -- and Fish Out of Water knows how to excite your taste buds! Service was friendly, efficient, fun, and accommodating! We will definitely be back! If you are ever in doubt of brussel sprouts, I suggest you try them here. Their brussel sprouts reformed two of our brussel sprout haters!"

  • "My wife and I came here for her birthday. We were seated right by a window with a view of the ocean at sunset. Very nice. The food was quite good and the service was very attentive. We went during the off season, so seating was not a real problem, but in season this gem is hard to get into. Prices were good for the quality provided. On the downside, not everyone likes fish, so it would be nice to have a larger selection of non-fish items, especially for children (teenagers), but options are available. No real recommendations since all the food we had was consistently good."

  • "I had read so much about this place and booked it while on a stay at Watercolor with high hopes. While it was good, it was no where near great. Unfortunately, Fish out of Water only brought there 'B-' game the night we went. The highlight was a Waiter so completely pretentious that our group is still making jokes about him. Food was pretty good…if you must go order the Pork Chop. We all know restaurants that are all about just creating a job for themselves….not creating a dining experience, quality food and service to admire. Fish our of Water is the former, a job creator only. They may have once known what quality was, but they abandoned their notion of it some time ago. Sadly, skip."

  • "Consistently excellent food in a lovely, upscale atmosphere; exceptional wine list; friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. On one of our many dinner visits, my husband's entrée was just a little saltier than he prefers -- our waiter offered to exchange the dish (which my husband declined to do) -- so the chef offered him a free dessert by way of apology -- a nice gesture. If you have an opportunity to dine here, do so!"

There are many great choices for fine dining along 30A but even so, FOOW is consistantly special. It has a bigger city feel than the typical restaurant in the area. The food, service, and ambiance combine to make it special. If the weather cooperates, the outdoor dining is great. The wine room is perfect for small groups. Eating at the bar is even nice. Hard to go wrong dining here."

  • "I went with my family during our beach vacation....an although it started as a bad experience we ended up having a great time. When we first arrived we did so early as to have a drink in the lounge area, once we finally were waited on and gave our drink order we waited more then 15 minutes and were then told sorry but there was only one bartender and everyone in the restaurant wanted a drink! Yikes! We never did get our drinks till we finally sat at our table 10 minutes later. The rest of the meal was great and I would go back."
