A word from Finch & Fork: Corner Grill Cocktails
Finch & Fork is a Modern American Bar and Grill centrally located on the corner of Carrillo and Chapala streets in the heart of Santa Barbara’s vibrant downtown. Chef James Siao draws inspiration from the vibrant local ingredients located in the area including local fishers, farmers and ranchers to craft an ingredient driven menu of delectable social plates and soul satisfying larger plates all meant to be served with artisanal wines, craft cocktails and great beers in the warm embrace of our convivial bar and dining room.

Finch & Fork’s bar program focuses on cocktails that are fresh, light and approachable. Santa Barbara’s most forward thinking mixologists; work their magic on clear spirit classics like the Moscow Mule and Bramble but also pay homage to the whisky classics like the Manhattan and Build Your Own Smash- you name the fresh fruit, the spirit and we build it in a mason jar at your table.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food and service is always excellent. Once I had to send my entree back and reorder and they did promptly and without question."

  • "We came here for our anniversary and had a lovely dinner of small plates. Everything was delicious and fresh. The cauliflower with capers was cooked to perfection and the corn taken off the cob was bursting with flavor. The beet salad was pretty to look at and very tasty. Fish tacos were ho hum and not that special. Overall the meal was great and we would highly recommend."

  • "We were looking for someplace in Santa Barbara to eat after a long drive and were attending a "location" wedding on July 4th. We found Finch and Fork via Yelp and enjoy trying new places. One thing that appealed to us was they took reservations and we did not want to chance not eating or having to wait, cutting into the time we had to be at the wedding. We enjoyed a very nice brunch, the service was just right, and it was a relaxing moment before the start of a long-busy-emotional afternoon/evening with family. Its located in an upscale hotel which is interesting as well. Overall, a great dining experience."

  • "Resturant offered warm professional service, faboulus tasting food items in a very comfortable setting I highly recommend it"

  • "Yes, Finch & Fork has some fun and classic cocktails, but their food was excellent, too. The Gnocci with pork ragu was exceptional as was the fresh fish preparation. We had two pre-teens dine with us, and they both liked the food + it was a fair price for a kids meal/drink/dessert combo."

  • "Good mix of food on the menu and everything we tried was delicious. The bar mixed up a great cocktail."
    Dined on 6/29/2014
  • "Just a perfect blend of everything that feels good. Food is tasty and original, people are absolutely the best... every one of them including the bus staff, the bartenders and the drinks are tops & the atmosphere at the Canary Hotel is like a cozy European gem."

  • "My husband and I enjoyed the seafood potpie for dinner, which was hot and savory. I ordered my favorite cocktail - their award-winning figueroa - and was not disappointed. Our server was prompt and friendly. He misheard my husband's drink order, but he was extremely professional and promptly corrected the mistake. We both enjoy the atmosphere here with its high ceilings and historic architecture. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara."

  • "Came here with a few friends for a bridal party brunch - had a classy atmosphere, good food and bottomless mimosas - success all around!"

  • "One of the hardest things at the restaurant was choosing what to eat. There were a lot of fun sounding tastes and combinations I wanted to try. Ultimately settled on the ribs that literally fell off the bone. The glaze and mushrooms on them was delicious! The only thing I didn't like on the plate was the grits. A nice potato would have gone better with it. As for cocktails, the simple and straightforward Tommy's margarita was perfect."

  • "Happy hour runs from 5-7 and drinks were generous and very good. Service was attentive and friendly, food fine but a bit spotty."
    Dined on 6/24/2014
  • "If you can tolerate bad service, come here, b/c the food is kind of worth it. It's literally some of the best eats I've had in Santa Barbara. I don't think it was the waitstaff's lack of talent/customer service. I think the restaurant was understaffed. I don't know. I used to love this place, now I'm having second thoughts."
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Loved this place. Fresh, local vegetables made for a lovely brunch. Bottomless Mimosas with Peach juice were a bonus. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable."

  • "Food, service and ambiance are all first rate. Everyone loved their dinners and we particularly recommend the scallops, kale and chicken salad and beet salad. Delicious!"

  • "One issue was that music from the happy hour at the bar in other half of the dining/ bar area made it hard to carry on a conversation. Food & service excellent. Pleasant low key ambiance in the restaurant area."

  • "I have had two great experiences at Finch & Fork. The service both times was exceptional and the food was divine. Whether they're serving you their top end entrees or a burger, they do it up right. This time I had a burger for brunch and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had! Perfectly cooked, dressed, the perfect condiments and the b & b pickles they make are incredible! Loved every bite. Check out my full review on their restaurant with photos on my blog at www.delish-dish.com!"

  • "Had a family brunch here to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday and the restaurant and staff were fantastic - the food was really good (Kale salad excellent, great Bloody Mary bar), the service was really outstanding and it was overall just an excellent experience. We came back that evening for drinks at the bar when our table at another restaurant wasn't ready yet, and the bar scene was so fun! Bartenders are really friendly and so quick to serve - I will look forward to coming back to this restaurant for any occasion! Very impressed with the wait staff!"

  • "Good service, follow up for reservations very good. Good drinks, maybe a better food selection for happy hour."

  • "Finch & Fork has a fantastic Happy Hour menu. Great drinks and great food, and unbeatable prices. I am a self proclaimed french fry connoisseur, and have tried french fries all over town. Finch and Fork, with out a doubt has THE BEST french fries. They are consistent with the perfect balance of fry to potato, they have a light garlic flavor that is infused into the oil, and they come with a bomb jalapeno aoli sauce. The rest of the food is yummy too, but happy hour is where its at!"

  • "I was racking my brain for a nice lunch location to host a professional book club meeting for 10 when someone recommended Finch & Fork. The group LOVED the location and the food so we will definitely go there again. The service was excellent until the very end, it took a long time for the check but maybe they thought we were just hanging around? Had the back room been filled conversation would have been challenging due to the noise level, but only one other table was sat near us. Overall, I definitely recommend (I've also been here for dinner and it was delicious)."

  • "the food was amazing, whatever I order and whatever my qif order was fantastic, I was not expecting it, everything was fantastic, even the Bartender was very friendly and he knows what he is doing"

  • "I went to the F&F this past Sunday for brunch, and added on the bottomless mimosas. The food was absolutely amazing. The menu is semi-seasonal as the chef likes to choose dishes he can make from the most fresh, local ingredients, and you can tell he puts his heart into every dish. The wait staff isn't too stingy with the mimosas either! The restaurant is in on the first floor of the canary hotel, so you have to go downstairs for a restroom. There is valet parking just past the entrance on w Carrillo Street, and the F&F does validate. All in all, a great Sunday brunch!"

  • "We loved this place so much and wish there was one where we live! The food tasted so fresh and delicious, and the menu is filled with very creative options. The service and ambiance was excellent; this is a MUST GO restaurant. "

  • "I had the chance to dine recently with a group. Our server Curtis was incredible with his knowledge of the beer and wine selections, the dish preparations, ingredients, and tastes. Overall wonderful experience!"

  • "Besides the beautiful and delicious food, the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, the management and wait staff ALWAYS go out of their way to make us feel special. We bring our elderly parents with us on occasion and they can be difficult at times, but everyone treats them with patience and care which is so much appreciated by us and it makes for a memorable meal for them. Thank you again and again for treating us great!"

  • "The host was not very gracious when seating us. We ordered a glass of wine and a Hawaiian honey creeper cocktail. The wine was excellent but the cocktail tasted like a rum margarita. We also ordered the prosciutto flatbread, mac and cheese, and pork cheek gnocchi. The pork cheek gnocchi was amazing! !! "

  • "Went on a Friday night, seated in bar area, pretty vibrant bar scene, had a delicious Moscow Mule, served in the traditional copper mug...we went after viewing the movie CHEF, so we were really hungry for a CUBAN sandwich; no luck; so we shared the baby back ribs & Mac & cheese...both were very good...but can't get that Cuban sandwich out of my mind...guess we'll have to take a trip to Miami!!!!"

  • "We picked one table to sit down at, then decided another would work better. They did not hesitate to bring us the appropriate chairs and hep move us over. Service was attentive, timely and impeccable. Food healthy and outstanding. Fun view into the restaurant and bar scene or out on to the street. "

  • "This is a lovely hotel dining room with a separate entrance. We were here for weekend brunch and it was a very nice experience from the greeting to the service throughout the meal to the wonderful food served. While the choices are somewhat limited, there is something wonderful on the menu for everyone. Our waiter was wonderful and made the experience a memorable one. I would defintely go back and recommend to others!"

  • "We had brunch and we won't be back soon. The Asparagus and Crab was good, but had one small lump of crab and for the price the portion was tiny. It was mostly bread. The chips in the huevos rancheros were stale. I don't think they were old, more like they had sat with the moist ingredients too ling before being brought out. The coffee was good and they brought cream, but no sugar then disappeared. I tracked down a bus boy for the sugar and there was one packet in the jar so I had to ask for more immediately. This is Denny's level service. "

  • "Finch and Fork delivered amazing service, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. The dishes were perfect in portion and ALL the attention was given to taste, as it should be, with added beautiful presentation. This restaurant is elegant and the staff were refined, without being pretentious. We were so pleased we chose Finch and Fork for Mother's Day."

  • "We are so happy that we have found Finch & Fork to spend birthdays, special occasions and just for a night out. We always feel so welcome and special when we dine here and look forward to coming back again and again. I especially love Beautiful Food and that's what you get. Pleasing to the eyes and even more to the palate. The chef is EXCELLENT! The staff makes us feel super special and even puts up with our elderly parents that can be a challenge. Thank you for a great place to take one and all!"

  • "I was not happy with the service. They took forever to serve us and didn't bring what I had ordered together. Food was just fair for an establishment in a high class hotel."

  • "love their greens juice. It's a good pick me up in the morning. The burrata appetizer was delicious! The lamb burger was so juicy but a little heavy on the yogurt. The F & F burger was also super juicy. I wish we were there later because the dinner menu looked amazing. I can't wait to come back. "

  • "This is a new name on a restaurant called "Coast." Looks pretty much the same. We had problems when we dined. Our cocktails were second rate but the big issue is the entrée. We ordered the vegetarian lasagna. Our waiter told us it was great. It came out in a small pan loaded with onions. Did not look like lasagna. Tasted awful. Chunks of veggies in a tasteless sauce with on piece of pasta. We did not finish and sent the dishes back. They gave us a bill for $75 but later took off one lasagna and we paid less. The manager talked to us and we complained bitterly. Dish was not ready for prime time nor is the restaurant. "
