A word from Farmshop LA
Farmshop, opened in 2010, is a Restaurant and an Artisanal Market & Bakery located in the historical 1948 Brentwood Country Mart on 26th Street in Santa Monica.

Jeff Cerciello's cuisine focuses on seasonal local ingredients. Irene Verbila from the LA Times wrote " Sunday nights at Farmshop are devoted to fried chicken… it's the best...but the bird I'm nominating as one of the 10 Best Meals is Cerciello's organic roasted chicken...golden and crisp, the flesh dense yet moist, each bite was better than the last."

In addition to highlighting fresh local produce, Farmshop offers a 300 choice California-centric wine list, a market with curated cheeses, charcuterie, artisanal foods and housewares, all an homage to the many California based farmers, producers and purveyors we are proud to showcase.

Server was great, explained the menu well and happy to see the meal exceeded expectations. She also made very good wine suggestion, which I appreciated. The food was amazing and fresh. The bonus is that they restaurant also sells beautiful cheeses, wines and other specialty items on par with Dean & DeLuca. Must Eat!"

  • "Coming back from a meeting where the food lest something to be desired, we decided to see if Farmshop had a spot on Open Table and much to our delight it did. The restaurant did not disappoint as everything was perfect. Munack Farm heirloom tomato salad with nectarines was amazing, so was Hamachi appetizer and our split Jidori chicken with smashed charred corn. Great wines by the glass and Farmshop lived up to its rep as one of our favorite places in advance or on spur of the moment."

  • "The food was first rate. The salad with tomatoes was unusual and scrumptious, the chicken juicy yet crisp, the steak done perfectly. The wines by the glass were below standard, but half bottles were fine. The meringue dessert looked great but was not as chocolaty as I prefer. The service was not up to the food; a long wait to ask about drinks, a long wait to ask for the order, and when we noted that we had not decided yet but would in two minutes, a ten minute gap again. The waiter, though not hostile or even curt, seemed, at times, to be doing us a favor. I shall go back, but similar service a second time will be the last."

  • "Our experience at Farmshop could not have been better! From the gracious hostess to the fun, fabulous and sophisticated waiter and incredible food! The food was one of the best we have had. The tastes and combinations of spices were different than most other restaurants we have been. We had tomato salad to start with purse-lane (grown wild in California), shaved fried artichoke, sumac, a soft cheese with Avocado and olive oil... was simply delicious! For our main dish was New York steak with mash like potatoes, slightly crispy on the outside and mushrooms. The sauce on the steak was light, but very tasty at the same time. For dessert, butterscotch brownie with vanilla bean ice cream, it was decedent and divine! So incredibly delicious!"

Produce is so fresh you feel like you are in the farmhouse eating just after the eggs were gathered and the fruit picked off the trees. A little expensive but worth the price for the freshness and excellent preparation of everything. While waiting for our table it is so much fun to wander around the take-out and store and see all the wonderful products for sale...great wine, unusual food products and the bakery and take-out is soooo tempting! I have also been there for dinner and enjoyed it very much."

  • "We always love Farmshop for the great farm to table food and interesting wines by the glass. Recent meals featuring seasonally perfect heirloom tomatoes , peaches and nectarines have been especially good. While it lasts try the buratta with nectarines, wild honey and pistachios. On this occasion we tried the T-Bone for two which while tasty was over-cooked, a sin because the quality of the meat and preparation caled for better treatment. It's worth ordering, just make sure you order it medium rare and get it that way. Jidori chicken with charred corn is amazing."

For dinner we really enjoyed the fried risotto appetizer and the scallops entree. The jidori chicken was cooked well but a little under-seasoned. I also love their brunch; the coddled egg dish is to die for. And there is always the fun of browsing the marketplace after your meal, finding artisan cheeses, seasonings, desserts and other treats. Always a good time at Farm Shop."

Our meal this most recent visit consisted of the chicken liver mousse (crazy delicious), the tomato salad (wowzer), the sweet and bitter green salad (two thumbs up), the bass (fantastic), the scallops (perfectly cooked), and the strawberries and zabaglione (simple and wonderful). They truly knocked it out of the park. Everything is farm fresh and bursting with flavor; the presentation is top-drawer; and what more, our waiter Jared was first rate. This is my new go-to place."

  • "Not your usual omelet and salad factory. Too many great choices. I love the coddled egg with mushrooms, served with smoked salmon and brioche toast -- simple but so flavorful, ordered this multiple times because I enjoy it so much. Frittata is delicious and makes healthy (or healthy-ish) also satisfying and not austere, packed with flavors. The french toast is decadent and so rich it's almost impossible to eat the entire serving. Cinnamon Danish sounds amazing - but really sweet - great option as a shared treat for the table. Parking is a hassle so we threaten not to go back...we always do! There was a small delay for our brunch reservation - we didn't care - they presented us with fresh old-fashioned peanut butter cookies! "
