A word from Farmshop LA
Farmshop, opened in 2010, is a Restaurant and an Artisanal Market & Bakery located in the historical 1948 Brentwood Country Mart on 26th Street in Santa Monica.

Jeff Cerciello's cuisine focuses on seasonal local ingredients. Irene Verbila from the LA Times wrote " Sunday nights at Farmshop are devoted to fried chicken… it's the best...but the bird I'm nominating as one of the 10 Best Meals is Cerciello's organic roasted chicken...golden and crisp, the flesh dense yet moist, each bite was better than the last."

In addition to highlighting fresh local produce, Farmshop offers a 300 choice California-centric wine list, a market with curated cheeses, charcuterie, artisanal foods and housewares, all an homage to the many California based farmers, producers and purveyors we are proud to showcase.

Diner Reviews
  • "Farmshop is the embodiment of Farm to Table. A simple and clean upscale space with rustic touches. Precise and unintrusive service. The menu is short but there is something for everyone. For dinner we really enjoyed the fried risotto appetizer and the scallops entree. The jidori chicken was cooked well but a little under-seasoned. I also love their brunch; the coddled egg dish is to die for. And there is always the fun of browsing the marketplace after your meal, finding artisan cheeses, seasonings, desserts and other treats. Always a good time at Farm Shop."

  • "Overall had a great experience! Food was good but our server really was stand-out for being attentive but not too pushy, even after we lingered talking after the meal was over and bill paid. Thanks!"

  • "Our server was gracious and knowledgeable, and let us know about all areas of the menu without being a bore. He also had the chef make up a special vegan option for one of our party, off-menu. The NY Steak I shared with my dad was absolutely delicious (if a little chewier than I expected?) and perfectly pared with some smashed potatoes and fiery sauce."

  • "Outstanding menu at this local Brentwood/Santa Monica gem. Fabulous farm to table, locally sourced organic ingredients. Yummy, yumm, yumm!"

  • "FarmShop LA is fantastic. I have had dinner here twice now, and I can't wait to return. Our meal this most recent visit consisted of the chicken liver mousse (crazy delicious), the tomato salad (wowzer), the sweet and bitter green salad (two thumbs up), the bass (fantastic), the scallops (perfectly cooked), and the strawberries and zabaglione (simple and wonderful). They truly knocked it out of the park. Everything is farm fresh and bursting with flavor; the presentation is top-drawer; and what more, our waiter Jared was first rate. This is my new go-to place."

  • "We had a group of 6 people for brunch on a Sunday. We had to wait a while for our table but once seated, the service we received was amazing, very attentive and cheerful. All of the food we ordered was fantastic and we left with full stomachs and many leftovers. A special stand-out was the giant cinnamon bun with pecans - outstanding!"

  • "The octopus and pasta were amazing. Both were standouts both in taste and presentation. The risotofritters were doughier than i anticipated but the smoked trout exceeded expectations. Thank you for accomodating my request for corner seating for my father in law that using a hearing aid. I appreciate the effort. Will definately eat here again."

  • "Never disappointing - and the servers are all well-familiar with the various selections so can answer any questions for picky eaters ;-) Not to be missed: Weiser Farm roasted potatoes - de riguer table share order! Most appreciated here are the quality ingredients used. Preparation is also superb. This restaurant is consistently good."

  • "Great meal recommendations by our lovely waitress. Staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. Food was amazing, from the cured meats to the cheese trio to the risotto fritters to the brownie dessert."

  • "The brunch was great !! I had a vegetable frittata and it was light and perfectly cooked, my husband had the steel cut oatmeal and it was super delicious, our daughter had the salmon rillette and it was outstanding. The server was very nice and upbeat. I would go back to Farmshop in a heartbeat !1"

  • "Not your usual omelet and salad factory. Too many great choices. I love the coddled egg with mushrooms, served with smoked salmon and brioche toast -- simple but so flavorful, ordered this multiple times because I enjoy it so much. Frittata is delicious and makes healthy (or healthy-ish) also satisfying and not austere, packed with flavors. The french toast is decadent and so rich it's almost impossible to eat the entire serving. Cinnamon Danish sounds amazing - but really sweet - great option as a shared treat for the table. Parking is a hassle so we threaten not to go back...we always do! There was a small delay for our brunch reservation - we didn't care - they presented us with fresh old-fashioned peanut butter cookies! "

  • "I celebrated my birthday at FarmShop LA. From the personalized menu (Happy Birthday Sherry printed on top) to the seasonal, local, organic fabulous food, every bite was a mouth sensation! I can't stop raving about this restaurant. The waitstaff are knowledgeable and efficient and friendly but the main star is the food! Excellent, delicious, every item on the menu is fantastic! A must dine location!! Thank you."

  • "I keep trying farmshop because I want to like it. The space is great and the staff is very gracious but the food continues to disappoint. I'm talkin specifically about the dinner menu. While everything is very fresh and lovingly prepared, the dishes miss the mark. Each one has just a note or two too many and, more often than not, just taste off. I laud the ambition of the kitchen but at the end of the day the food should be tasty and not just curious. "

  • "Great food! Small selection of different and interesting food choices."
    Dined on 6/4/2014
  • "If you don't eat meat. 90% of the menu contains meat. Considering they are in Brentwood they really should add more items that can be enjoyed by vegetarians. "

  • "My wife and I needed a little respite from a hectic week and Farmshop LA provided it! It's close to home and we are never disappointed. Great food, great service!"
    Dined on 5/29/2014
  • "The staff was condescending. The ambience is average at best. And the food is just plain pretentious and really bad. The family next to ours reported that their main course was so salty that it was inedible and the staff did nothing. The oysters I ordered were not good and I did not finish them. The staff did not say a word. No bread was brought to the table. The cucumber salad was unimaginative and not very tasty. The "romanesco" cauliflower was really oily and had regular cauliflower mixed in as well as some very burnt pine nuts."

  • "We always have a wonderful meal and a great time at Farmshop LA. Thank you to all those that create the extraordinary menu and prepare the delicious food."

  • "I frequent many of LA's finer dining establishments and I am accustomed to paying high prices. But the exorbitant cost does not justify the good food. I like the farm to table concept and the food was definitely good. But for the fixed price fried chicken Sunday night (only) menu, two glasses of wine, and tip, the bill was $170. That is too much money for two people for this type of "deli dining" style restaurant. So unfortunately I won't go back again."

  • "We recommended this place for friends to take us to dinner. We had heard about it but never eaten here. It was a huge success! Our meals were delicious, imaginative and beautifully presented. Our hosts told us our choice was GREAT!"

  • "We had reservations, but because the restaurant was so busy, we still had to wait. However, the manager comped us with the most fabulous sticky buns! It was worth the wait."

  • "We stumbled upon FarmShop in the latest restaurant issue of Los Angeles Magazine and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is fantastic, the service was spot on and the food was delectable. Highly recommend. We can't wait to hit up Sunday fried chicken night!"
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "The food was excellent and the waiter very helpful. But the menu is extremely limited for anyone that doesn't eat meat or fish. It is one of the very few excellent restaurants that has almost nothing for non-meat eaters on the menu. There are a lot of us out there, especially in Brentwood. "
    Dined on 5/10/2014
  • "Only quarrel was with the uninspired service. Very difficult to get an ice tea refill! Waitress disappears and only interest by bus staff seems to be clearing tables. "
    Dined on 5/8/2014
  • "The menu changes frequently, which is good. However sometimes the choices aren't what I like. It is still a place that attracts a Westside crowd in an energetic environment."

  • "We came early 7.15 place still full of yelling kids ( but they left) service was great - knowledgable, helpful, personable and professional - fried chicken amazing as was the beet salad. Definetly worth the price. "

  • "The food is unbelievably delicious. ALL OF IT. Really loved the Shirred Eggs...one of the most delicious brunch meals I've ever had. The service was chaotic. Although we ordered and the food came quick, it seemed the servers were oblivious to our baby at the table with us. Constantly walking over her with trays of hot coffee and bumping into her high chair, and she wasn't really in the way of anything, they just kind of kept knocking her. We will be back though, it's truly delicious!"

  • "This was the first time we'd been here for dinner - at lunchtime it is essential to book a table, so we were surprised to see so many empty tables in the evening. Service was helpful - our waitress made clear recommendations. The burrata with caviar and maple syrup, with toast, was stunningly good. Then the octopus in squid ink, with roasted potatoes, was equal to it. All done in an unfussy manner, in portions that were not huge, but kind of perfect. We'll be back for dinner in the future, for sure."

  • "Seven of us descended on The Farm shop for a family brunch. We were promptly seated (we'd made a reservation) and our server (Natalie?) was there to offer coffee, which arrived in a fairly timely manner. We ordered a variety of brunch options, all of which were well prepared and delicious. I go there often, usually just for coffee and a croissant, so it was good to see that they managed a large group such as ours without any stress. Overall, a very satisfying experience."

  • "Interesting dishes with a slight twist from traditional brunch options. Right portions (though some might complain it's small, but we like it), allowing us to sample more choices. Casual but a bit loud, but tolerable during lunch/brunch. Enjoyable experience."

  • "This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Local, delicious, and interesting: there is a market attached to the restaurant where you can purchase a lot of the items on the menu. We ate a late dinner and after it was over, I purchased so many great foodie items in the little grocery store attached. I can't wait to eat here again and visit the store during the day. What a great little shopping center! I loved the cheese plate because they paired each cheese with interesting foods like caramel popcorn, handmade candy bars, and delicious caramels. "
