  • "A neighbourhood gem in Cabbagetown! Fantastic staff who make the experience memorable. Cuisine and beverages are outstanding. Always a great choice!"

  • "This lovely restaurant with multiple rooms and a great bar is just the sort of welcoming and good cheer place one hopes for from a neighbourhood gem. Cozy in the winter and piazza in the summer. The food -- italian -- was fresh, presented beautifully with something for everyone. The wine list was good and a range of interesting drinks were available. The service we enjoyed was perfect."

  • "I'm not a papardelle expert, but I haven't had papardelle in Toronto like the dish served at F'Amelia. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly to my liking. It was buttery with aa hint of cheese, without be overwhelming, and the rabbit on top was tender. I can't wait for my next visit!"

  • "I know that minimalistic is on trend right now, but I actually had to laugh at the meagre portions I was returned with when I ordered a salad and a bizarre two bite product was placed in front of me. My mother called it 'insulting' for the price. The calamari was disappointing, the salads so tiny that a child would not even be satisfied and the service was very slow. I guess they have installed a wine bar next door and the music was thumping through the wall. i have been here in the past and absolutely loved it, this night however has ensured that I will not be returning."

  • "Great Italian food in a quiet nook. The pizzas are incredible but this visit had some of the pasta and it was amazing. The house wine is not great (red) but they have a nice selection available."

  • "What can I say? The wine and menu selection were diverse and appealing. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was prompt. The ambiance was "cozy" , like a cottage. All 4 of us enjoyed the evening and the food tremendously. The one side note is that you get what you pay for."

  • "Big issue is the lighting. It's so dim you can't read the menu. We weren't the only table who had had Iphone flashlights out. One guy had glasses with mini flashlights at the temples and other tables were passing the candles around to read the menu. Ambience can be created without reporting to dark and gloomy!!"

  • "Birthday dinner was celebrated here 2 days ago. Loved it. The good was very, very good. Disappointed that they had run out of the venison special but the celery root ravioli with duck confit was amazing. Some of the accompanying veg was a little undercooked but not distractingly so. Apps were interesting as was the cocktail list. A second basket of house-made focaccia never did show up, even when we asked a second time. Would definitely return."

  • "I always love my dining experience at F'amelia and this time did not discappoint. The service was attentive and helpful without being over bearing and the recomendations were spot on. My friend loved the restaurant as well and is officially a F'amelia convert as well. I can't wait for the patio season as it is just a beautiful spot."

  • "I love Italian food - and F'Amelia transports me to Italy every time I eat there. Staff are friendly and the environment is sophisticated! Good wines by the glass as well."

  • "Two of us went to a 5 pm sitting which was all that was left. I used Open Table and asked for a table by the window across from the bar (I have been before and just like the ambiance in this side of the restaurant). They received the message and delivered which was showed attention to details. We had excellent service, the special was a rib eye, which I had and was perfect medium rare, and my partner had gnocchi, which was excellent. Both the brussel sprout salad and the arugula salad were delicious. A really nice evening and we never felt rushed despite it filling up fairly quickly. Thanks to a wonderful and professional staff."

  • "Heard quite a bit good stuff about this restaurant. Been looking forward to a visit and finally made reservation for valentine's day. Disappointed. The food was no more than OK - despite the average taste, we had small portion of food and yet the presentation of each dishes was perfunctory. I understand popular spots are busier on Valentine's day, but if you confirm my reservation it should be your commitment to serve us the best food for the money I'm paying."

  • "First time at this Restaurant. I must say that if you are looking to try one of the best authentic Italian pizza's in the city you must eat here. I am always skeptical of the restaurants claiming to offer wood burning ovens, however F'amelia did not disappoint! Thanks for a great meal. A and V Oakville ON."

  • "Looking for the perfect place to go on a cold winter's night, look no further than F'Amelia in Cabbagetown. Best wood oven pizzas and pastas the east side of Yonge. Just curious why there are not more of these in this great little neighborhood? Could this be the start of an Ossington of the east?"

  • "F'Amelia did not disappoint. Wonderful ambiance, warm welcome from hostess, great service from our server. Food was fantastic - warm mushroom salad was best I've ever tasted and our mains (Beet Risotto and Gnocchi) were delicious. We will definitely revisit this beautiful spot."

  • "Highly recommend this restaurant. We have been on numerous occasions. The menu is Italian and is quite small but every appetizer and main dish are exquisite. They also serve pizza cooked in a wood oven. The service is attention and unobtrusive. Great descriptions and recommendations for wine pairings. We went with friends The chef speciality is salumi/terrine, which can be ordered as a starter. They are made on site. In summer you can sit outside on the front patio. It is in Cabbagetown and we often wish we had such a fine restaurant in our neighbourhood."

  • "Casual, warm, welcoming, good value and easy to find. Just off Parliment south of Wellesley, this place deserves a place on everyone's list of Italian restaurants."

  • "Staff was friendly, but not intrusive. Although the restaurant became quite busy, we never felt like we were being rushed. The arugula salad was excellent and the pizza perfectly done with adequate topping. Loved the ambience of the restaurant for many years in its previous incarnation and love it now. A quiet, cozy place to enjoy a good meal!"

  • "F'Amelia is one of my `go to' restaurants in Toronto -- especially for the seasonal menus. The current winter menu is imaginative, enticing, satisfying. I appreciated being told -- at the beginning -- that our reservation only went from 6:30 to 8:30. A reasonable request for a relatively small, fabulous, busy restaurant on a Friday evening."

  • "We really enjoyed a Saturday night out within easy walking distance of our home. The menu is limited to either pasta/risotto choices or great flat bread pizzas. Salad starters were unique and tasty. I enjoyed a brussel sprout prosciutto starter salad and finished with a great 4-way pizza. My wife's risotto main was tasty and her arugula salad was a great way to start the meal off. There were specials offered which lent a bit more variety, however the server failed to mention their prices which for me, is always a telltale sign that they are going to be expensive when compared to menu choices. Would have preferred a 1/2 litre wine option rather than a 5 oz glass. Wine menu was extensive but lacked some inexpensive choices. We'd go back."

  • "Absolutely loved the ambience of F'Amelia. Gorgeous restaurant. The food was decent. However, the service was off-putting. When we first arrived, they had our reservation for 3 instead of 2, and then made this seem like a big problem. The service was also fast, which normally I wouldn't complain about, but it really felt like they were rushing us out. Our food arrived before I was even a 1/4 of the way done my cocktail. And the drink did not go with the food I had ordered, so I had to gulp it down before eating. The pizza I ordered was a bit odd in that it was divided into 4 quadrants and had 1 topping per quadrant instead of evenly distributed. Then, as soon as we finished eating they brought the bill and came back right away for payment."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by a family friend and I'm greatful they did! F'Amelia is a very cute and quaint restaurant with a great ambiance. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and very friendly. We were able to speak to the Chef James who gave us some great menu recommendations. Our server Renetta also gave us some tasty wine recommendations. The food was outstanding and the portion sizes were perfect. I would suggest getting one of the charcuterie boards because all of the meat is prepared and smoked in house and is delicious! I will definitely be going back and will spread the word about this gem."

  • "I had my doubts that this tucked away restaurant would be anything special.... I was completely wrong. Staff were very attentive. Food 10/10. Lobster risotto best I have ever had."

  • "I met a friend for dinner at F'Amelia on a Saturday night, and it's a perfect "neighbourhood restaurant for foodies" (not my neighbourhood, but it was worth the drive). The vibe was upbeat - good buzz - and every single member of staff that we dealt with was friendly and welcoming. Our server, in particular, was deeply knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing (and I am picky) - portions were beautifully appropriate, salads were carefully crafted and plated, our pasta was fresh, flavours pure and delicious, and ingredients interesting and high quality. The menu is not extensive - it's essentially pasta and pizza with some antipasti and salads, but there were still several menu items that I could have happily chosen."

  • "Restaurant is beautiful, romantic, and sublimely peaceful. However: Food was fair, not excellent. Service was competent, not professional. Foccaccio is excellent - but I really do not like the little tins with the bread - change that. Waiters should not reach in front of people to refill water glasses. MOST OF ALL - I do not like restaurants that advertise a $30 dinner - false advertising."

  • "The great service started with the reservation. Prompt and cheerful follow up. Service was great from our server. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. Outstanding chef, and best of all, felt the meal wasn't overpriced. If you like restaurants like Campagnola, you'll love F'Amelia. Will definitely go back."
