  • "It's my third to F'Amelia and the food there is getting better and better. We ordered the beef tartar and the calamari salad to start. Both were excellent. The pizza and pasta dishes were so delicious. The parpadelle with braised rabbit is one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. The tiramisu was really big and tasty. We also like the ambience of F'amelia very much. It's spacious and comfortable. The covered outdoor seating is so beautiful especially at night! It's definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in town. I will go back for sure."

  • "Just inside Cabbagetown, F'Amelia serves up well put together modern Italian cuisine in a cute setting. While the cocktails might be a bit overpriced, the overall F'Amelia experience is worth the trip to this neighborhood eatery."

  • "Located a slightly out-of-the-way part of T.O. (a side street off Parliament, east of downtown), F'Amelia is an unpretentious neighbourhood spot, distinguished by very high standards. Pastas and antepasti are made in-house, and the pizza selection is very good. My partner loved her fig salad starter and sweet corn risotto. I had a delicious arctic char "crudo" (effectively, sashimi) appetizer and pappardelle with braised rabbit, honey mushrooms and kale as a main. I live over an hour west of Toronto, but this was well worth a special trip into town for!"

  • "We had a fantastic table, attentive service and one of the best meals I've had this year. My mouth is watering as I recall the homemade pasta and our visit was 2 weeks ago! We will be back soon."

  • "This is the second time we have dined at F'amelia and once again, we had a delicious meal! Delicious from soup to nuts" the service is friendly and attentive. Each time we have come with different people and everyone has said they would return in a heartbeat! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It's as good to go for a special event as just a casual night out. Love it!!"

  • "My boyfriend and I came after reading BlogTO's list of the top 10 most romantic restaurants. The location was a 10min walk from Castle Frank station. The staff were kind and patient. It was a bit confusing at first as we were passed from one server to another - maybe they were switching shifts. Since it's summer, we decided to sit on the patio. The weather was nice, the view was quaint, and it felt like a scene out of a picture. The only issue we had was once our pizza came (the montanara), a huge swarm of flies and bees felt the need to help themselves to our food. After trying to swat them away for about 5 minutes, we decided to move indoors. The wait staff moved us quickly and painlessly and the rest of our meal finished without a hitch."

  • "F'Amelia, has become our go to restaurant, in the neighbourhood..it never fails to please...food, service, ambiance"

  • "We have recently discovered F'Amelia. Love the food (eggplant ravioli is delicious), wine (Gelso Nero) , the excellent, knowledgeable, friendly service, and the pretty patio on a summer evening. I have just returned from a trip to Italy and enjoyed having the appetizer platter which was so similar to what we ate in Florence. We will return!"

  • "I have been to F'amelia several times for romantic evenings to group dinners. It is a little off the beaten path, in a quaint cabbagetown neighborhood. Great atmosphere, amazing food."

  • "We have dined here several times since it opened, and it has always been excellent. The food is amazingly good, especially the pizzas (maybe the best in Toronto) and the risottos. Service is attentive, always."

  • "We were looking for somewhere fancy but not too over the top and this was perfect! Didn't feel out of place in heels and a nice dress / suit jacket, but also had a comfortable vibe. Food was absolutely delicious and great ambiance. Definitely would go back."

  • "My husband and I have been celebrating all our milestones at F'Amelia. Most recently our one-year wedding anniversary. Everything was perfect. Patio, food, service, dessert, etc."

  • "It was my first time there. We really wanted the patio but nothing was available so we took the next best thing...table next to it. The ambiance was nice and airy. The food was fantastic. Love that they keep it traditional in that their dishes have no more than 5 ingredients. I was disappointed though as I had looked at the menu prior to coming and had my heart set on cavatelli...and it was in the menu!!! The service...disappointing. Maybe our waiter was having an off night, or it's just the way he is but both my friend and I felt that he was disinterested...he couldn't remember the specials and read them off a piece of paper...and just seemed overall annoyed. If I go back, I don't think I would want that waiter again."

  • "Great experience at F'amelia. High quality food and great taste overall. Too bad the octopus linguine didn't have more octopus in it, we were expecting more given the $23 price tag for the pasta dish. The sauce was delicious though! We would definitely go back."

  • "We had a great meal. Tanya the hostess has a great way at grating the guests and she was able to find us a table even though we were early. The food was excellent we prepared and the service was good very though it was very busy on the Saturday night. They had a great wine special by the glass of a premium BC wine and I am glad that we took our waitresses suggestion. I had the seasonal salad which was excellent as well as the vegetarian pizza. I am glad that we did not skip the homemade Tiramisu"

  • "We visited F'amelia for the first time last Saturday night for my partner's birthday. I made a reservation (a must) and requested a quiet table, and we got it! (only had to wait 5 minutes for the one we wanted). The waiter was low key and attentive and the manager made sure the birthday candle in the amazing tiramisu was presented discreetly, which I had also requested. Our main pastas were both excellent and I had the Italian chocolate custard that was a chocolate-lover's ambrosia! We walked to and from the restaurant, which was a real treat since we just moved to Cabbagetown 12 days ago. Highly recommend F"amelia whether you come on foot, car, TTC or fly in."

  • "As always, the food at F'Amelia is fantastic and, once seated we were happy with service. We did have to wait again (30 mins last time, 25 mins this time) for our table to be seated in spite of reservation, being ignored by the manager leaving us to stand outside. I fully appreciate tables over-staying welcome, but there was no offer of an accommodation, drink, invite to the bar, etc. Not even an apology other than "we can't rush out the tables". After complaining (again) we were put on a four-top, then about 45 mins after res time were moved to the proper table. If you cannot manage the space, don't take reservations - it's a great spot for the 'hood and I love to support local, but this dreadful welcome does not make us want to return."

  • "This restaurant sits among the very best. The place was jammed when we arrived but you would never know it from the attentive service. My wife loved the roasted pear and I am dreaming about the rabbit tagliatelle. Best tiramisu in the world and a great patio. Cozy wine bar right next door for an after dinner drink and you have the best night this year!"

  • "Like the best pizza pie....that's F'Amelia. Six diners. Six appetizers. Two pizzas. Two risottos. Two pastas. Six Desserts. Lots of wine. Most memorable dining experience we have had in twenty years. Fantastic service, free delicious warm bread and a beautiful setting were just bonuses."

  • "We're lucky enough to get a table in last minute on a Saturday evening because nice weather allowed them to open the patio. Otherwise this place would have been packed. Upon arrival, me and my wife were quickly seated at the patio. There's a good variety on their wine menu. We ordered a bottle of wine, a 5-meat charcuterie plate and 2 full-portion pastas. All were excellent. Initially we also ordered a pizza to finish, but the waiter was really caring to have held off that order as we found ourselves very full after the pasta. We were, therefore, allowed to cancel the pizza and jump to desert instead. Their service level were just right, attentive and sincere rather than overly bothersome. Will certainly go back again."

  • "We visited F'Amelia for the second time in two weeks. Packed! There is a reason why this hidden restaurant makes all the 'best of' lists in Toronto. We felt welcome from the moment stepped on the property and our experience just got better from there. A knowledgeable waiter helped our wine selection and then we had the large salumi board...followed by sharing a green risotto and rabbit pasta appetizers. We then had a pizza each and barely had room for the home made gelato. This is Toronto's Finest."

  • "We came here last Saturday and had to wait for a table. We went next door to the wine bar and they called us when the table was ready (wine bar is beautiful!). After a fantastic meal we decided to book again to try the place on a quieter night. It wasn't that quiet but the food and service were outstanding again! A restaurant out of the way on a side street in Cabbagetown....of all places.... is now my favourite in all of Toronto. We are coming back this weekend to have a steak at the wine bar. Hopefully the food is as good there as at F'Amelia!"

  • "Great ambiance, good location, nice idea. Service not great. Food, just ok. Prices too high for the quantity and quality. Pizza ok. There are better restaurants in the city to spend that amount of money!"

  • "My guest and I arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation and instead of seating us at one of the many empty tables available we were asked to sit at the bar for 20 minutes until it was time to seat us. After that, instead of being asked if we wanted to dine outside or in we were seated at a table that was already vacant when we had arrived 20 minutes earlier. Not the best service. Food was good, however."

  • "First, the online menu is different from the one they gave us. At 6:45, all specials except beef tartare were sold out. Pizza(we had 4) were not tasty at all. Crust was soggy on 2 of them and the meat was chewy. Pasta portions were tiny, really? Its pasta!! Brought soup with no spoon. Never offered parmesean and fresh pepper! Stingy with the bread. Gave 4 small pieces to start(for 4 people) and when we asked for more, they didn't bring any until after our main course arrived. Won't return."

  • "A recent family celebration at F'Amelia satisfied all the foodies in the family. Beautifully cooked pasta, inventive and flavourful pizza, spectacular appetizers and desserts. We'll definitely go again. "

  • "Great location just off Parliament Street in Toronto. Very nice area. Best item was the calamari. The Pizza was thin crust which we like however the pizza itself was just adequate. They do have a large wine list. We would not go back as there are many more options for dining out and better Italian restaurants. "

  • "My guest and I had a great meal. The food was very imaginative and beautifully presented. The service was as attentive and personable as one would want, but we found the overall ambiance to be extremely noisy. No there was no loud music to have to deal with, thank God. It's just that there was nothing in the construction that would absorb sound and consequently, everyone's conversation was magnified and projected in order to be heard, resulting in a very high noise level."

  • "We were a party of 6 and as it turned out ordered 5 different mains. Not an easy preparation for the kitchen to have all arrive at the table at the same time. This was done seamlessly by the staff who were most attentive through the course of the meal although not overly so. Will be back once the weather warms to take advantage of what looks like a great patio."

  • "This lovely restaurant with multiple rooms and a great bar is just the sort of welcoming and good cheer place one hopes for from a neighbourhood gem. Cozy in the winter and piazza in the summer. The food -- italian -- was fresh, presented beautifully with something for everyone. The wine list was good and a range of interesting drinks were available. The service we enjoyed was perfect."

  • "I'm not a papardelle expert, but I haven't had papardelle in Toronto like the dish served at F'Amelia. The pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly to my liking. It was buttery with aa hint of cheese, without be overwhelming, and the rabbit on top was tender. I can't wait for my next visit!"

  • "I know that minimalistic is on trend right now, but I actually had to laugh at the meagre portions I was returned with when I ordered a salad and a bizarre two bite product was placed in front of me. My mother called it 'insulting' for the price. The calamari was disappointing, the salads so tiny that a child would not even be satisfied and the service was very slow. I guess they have installed a wine bar next door and the music was thumping through the wall. i have been here in the past and absolutely loved it, this night however has ensured that I will not be returning."

  • "Great Italian food in a quiet nook. The pizzas are incredible but this visit had some of the pasta and it was amazing. The house wine is not great (red) but they have a nice selection available."
