"Overpriced, overdone food. It was too noisy with tables practically on top of one another. My $5 "Caesar" salad tasted like bottled dressing from Costco. The beans and potatoes that came with the dinner were dried out and awful. Would definitely NOT recommend this place."

"We were excited to eat at the restuarant given the reviews we read online about the food and ambiance. I did not find anything special about this place, main dish was good (I liked the scampi and my fiance the sampler) but the beans/bread/onion rings were less than average so we didnt even eat them. We had to wait 10 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation, and our waitress forgot we were celebrating a birthday even though it was noted in the reservation. I think the food was overpriced and considering the ambiance didnt make up for the price tag, I would not go back. One good thing is they make a mean bloody mary, I would probably go back for drinks."

"F. Mclintocks is a great memories builder, we've been bringing the kids for 25 years, now our grand daughter. The food is "outstanding", however the noise factor (to be expected) is not just "energetic", but downright loud. Being that it is a "special occasion" location, hearing their Happy BDay rendition is a little bit much (after the umpteenth time). With that all said, the panoramic ocean view, together with good service and excellent food makes for an overall memorable dining experience, one that you want to come back to."

"We've been there before & it's a favorite place to go when in Pismo Beach from the No. Central Valley. For us it's about the main dish & have not been disappointed. Even before dinner is served, onion rings & salsa, instead of bread/butter, aside from the meal is a bowl of beans & country potatoes for all to share, then what comes on your dinner plate. Dessert? If you have room, it comes with choice of sherbets or ice cream, choose a chocolate or caramel topping too. Or have a liqueur to your liking, 15 to choose from."

"First, I've been a fan of F. McLintocks since the 70's-seriously. You'd think I would know it is not a place for romantic dining, or to take your daughter for her 28th birthday & have a conversation. I asked the less than enthusiastic host to please not seat us near little children (it's a curse-haven't had a pleasant meal out in years). We were seated in the main dining area, very close to....a very loud group of adults. That, in addition to the very high room noise level made it impossible to talk. We asked to be moved and were seated right next to....a family with two cute toddlers. Within ten minutes the crying began. Not pleasant. Very nice waiters. Slow service, noisy. Very high prices. Sorry Bruce & Tunney. Won't be back to Pismo."

"We had a group of 9. They are kinda quick about taking orders, I wasn't sure about my desert choice and she never came back to me. I still don't know why they take your onion rings ijstead of leaving them for you to eat with your food lol overall it was great, hadn't been there in years"

"I've been going to McLintock's for years, but hadn't been recently. After reading some reviews I was concerned about taking a large group celebrating a birthday. It came down to knowing what I'd always experienced and we were not disappointed! We had reservations and were quickly seated, the service was great and the food was amazing...as expected! I would highly recommend McLintock's to anyone who wants a amazing meal with great service."
