A word from Esin Restaurant and Bar
Esin has been a neighborhood jewel since opening in 1998. The name Esin is not only the name of one of the owners but also means “inspiration”. The food is the passion of Chef & Owners Curtis and Esin deCarion. They strive to create cuisine that is fresh, seasonal, and prepared with great care. The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines. Esin Restaurant & Bar relocated in July of 2008 to the Newest upscale lifestyle center The Rose Garden in Danville. The freshly designed dining room offers warm and comforting tones.   • "Cafe Esin is a large, beautifully-built space with lots of dark wood, natural light, a good-size bar and tables and chairs and booths. We had two terrific salads that were carefully composed with greens of varying types, cannellini beans, quinoa, protein (I had grilled shrimp, my friend the grilled salmon), and a sprinkling of chopped fried onions on top. It was very tasty although the vinaigrette was nothing special. The server was attentive to our needs, there when we needed her, willing to stay away for long periods as my friend and I caught up on each other's lives. It was a delightful experience and next time we'll have to try desserts which everyone says are house-made and delicious!"

  • "I've been to Esin many times over the years and it has always been great -- I was disappointed this time -- the food was really not that "tasty". Caesar salad tasted like it came from a fast food place (no flavor) and my salmon was paired with grains, etc. that overpowered it and really didn't taste good. Service remained very nice though."

  • "I love this place! They are welcoming and so attentive with their guest. I just moved here and came for lunch and twice so far for dinner and my friends and family just enjoyed our time here. Quality of service and food is excellent. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. Another fav is the desserts!! OMG all of them are so delish, my fave is the lemon meringue tart n the chocolate mouse..I did come in once also to get a dessert to go..must have. Only thing they need to add, is room for bigger parties."

  • "We have been to Esin three times and have had wonderful dinners each time. The menu is creative and made with the best local ingredients. The service is excellent. Reservations are needed! Dining at the bar is also fun, but you'd better arrive early to get a seat. I'm going to try it for lunch soon, and know I won't be disappointed. I'm on a restricted diet (gluten free / dairy free) and am happy with the choices. Plus they are open to modifying items to fit my needs."

The special martinis were tasty, and the food is very reasonably priced for a fit-for-foodies, white table cloth type of restaurant (many under $20.) This is the second year in a row we have gone here for my best friend's birthday dinner. Great service, too. HIghly recommend!"

Service is incredible, accommodating and friendly. Their wine list impressive. Love their 3 wine tasting options. Service by Nicole could not have been better....attentive, friendly yet not over fussy. It's a wonderful place for dinner. We seem to forget that it's there when looking for a place to eat. The shining star through is the desserts! 10+ choices from pies to cakes to brow nines, all with a special touch to make them over the moon delicious. The banana cream pie is to die for. The pot roast is always a favorite too. This visit I had the chicken stuffed with feta, wrapped in a phylo dough. It was not my favorite so I won't order it again.....this is a super popular restaurant so you will definitely need reservations"

  • "We have enjoyed a number of dinners at Esin however our meals on this occasion were very disappointing. The pork chop I ordered was so heavily permeated with bacon that you couldn't taste the chop. I couldn't take a second bite and my husband was kind enough to switch with me although he didn't care for it either. His mahi mahi was blah as were the accoutrements. My beet salad was okay but nothing special. We did not have any dessert or coffee and our bill was $97.00 with one drink each. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon."

  • "It was my wife's 35th birthday, which I noted in my original OpenTable reservation, and just as soon as we walked in the door, my wife was greeted with a "Happy Birthday!" She felt special from the start, and as soon as we sat down, bread and water was immediately placed on our table. Our waiter (Brian, I believe) was energetic, friendly and when he told us all the specials, he actually said them at a pace you can understand, pausing between each explanation so we could digest the images and tastes swirling around in our heads. The food was spectacular. We ordered an appetizer special and oysters. For the main course, I had the cod special, and my wife had a burger. We shared a mocha cheesecake for dessert and we enjoyed ourselves immensely"

  • "When you go to a restaurant on a Sunday night in the middle of March and its packed, something is happening. I'm just sayin. Incredible service by Johnny who works the bar but also services the booths in the bar area. He went overboard to make sure we were taken care of, and being a wine guy I was surprised about his knowledge of the wines that we were tasting until we locked in on the one that I wanted with my meal. Cuddo's Johnny! Hands down this is one of my FAVs now, and I won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking a great restaurant to frequent."

  • "The food was amazing. The Meze platter, as always, a delicious treat and a wonderful assortment of spreads. I ordered the sea bass for dinner which was a special for the night and it was cooked absolutely perfect. Seared just enough for a great flavor and incredible texture that was still delicate enough to cut with my fork. The amount of flavor that was packed into the farro took my taste buds for a journey. I had a couple of mixed drinks from the menu and it is clear that there is as much thought put into the drinks as items on their dinner menu. What a wonderful night."
