A word from Enterprise Fish Co. - Santa Barbara
Just a few blocks from the waterfront, our restaurant in Santa Barbara operates in a century-old brick building originally home to an industrial linen service for seaside hotels. While the Douglas fir floors, soaring ceilings, and glassed cupola have always been features of this historic structure, the sweeping arches facing State Street were added after much of the building crumbled during the 1925 Santa Barbara earthquake.

Built in 1917, the historic building now home to our Santa Monica restaurant was once a transfer station for the narrow-gauge Red Car line, Los Angeles' first mass transit system. It was later the repair house for the world-famous Pacific Ocean Park, home to the oldest wooden roller coaster west of the Mississippi. These days, we're still a stone's throw from Venice Beach, heart of where L.A. goes to play -- and eat.

  • "My parents were in SB for some medical tests on their anniversary, and I booked this place hoping to cheer them up. It worked! I contacted the staff who definitely went out of their way to ensure that my parents were WELL taken care of, and let me pay for their dessert remotely as a surprise. My parents said that the food was amazing, and that the servers were all very sweet and attentive. The clam chowder was one of the best my dad had ever eaten, and they left feeling happy. I couldn't recommend Enterprise any higher. Well worth the reservation."

  • "We had not been to the Enterprise for a couple of years, at least. Judging by this dinner, on Mothers' Day, it has dropped a lot in quality. The seabass was good, but not exceptional. I estimate that the portion was 3 ounces, at most! Likewise, my son was disappointed in the ahi--nothing special and a very small portion. The grilled vegetables were the best part of the meal, but we went there for the seafood! I will not return any time soon."

  • "I have eaten at Enterprise Fish Co. about 10 times in the last year. I have always been pleased with the quality of the food, the presentation and the service. The staff are friendly and capable. The dishes have excellent flavors and have always been cooked correctly. This is a great place to bring small groups of people. I take customers there regularly. I would not recommend bring more than 6 people because the space doesn't seem to work for larger numbers. Enterprise has a great feel and is a place I will continue to go back to for a long time."

  • "The employees are phenomenal. The food is fantastic, and the whole restaurant is decorated with everything seafood, and ocean oriented. Ask to sit by the aquariuml, and you can still check out a game on the televisions in bar area. This place is hopping, so making a reservation is a must. My husband has to travel to Santa Barbara every three weeks, and this is the restaurant we go to every time. The fresh homemade sourdough bread is wonderful."

  • "We arrived on time and were promptly seated - unfortunately at a table on a main isle around which wait staff and guests were in constant motion. To compensate - and becuase the restaurant is noisy - I sat on the same side of the table as my wife. Our waitress was attentive and we did not feel rushed. We both ordered a seafood grill, the portions of which were generous. The fish and scallops were not overcooked and the flavors were great. A nice wine menu, but for a restaurant of this size, more craft beers choices would have been appreciated. This is not a special occasion venue, but can accomodate groups and serves good seafood at reasonable prices."
