EdendaleCan't wait to return!It's easy to miss, but DON'T!! This place was fabulous. We wanted to try everything on the menu. The calamari was the best we've ever had. Just the right amount of spice and great flavor for something that can be so bland. The grilled romaine salad was a huge hit, as were the blue cheese fries (ask for a side of the sriracha sauce that comes with the calamari). Simple roasted chicken was simply fabulous. The showstopper was the salmon. Probably the best preparation of salmon we've ever had -- incredibly moist and delicate. The melange of lentils, carrots and chard was the perfect complement (I could make a meal on the lentils alone and will definitely be attempting to recreate that at home). Next time we'll leave room for dessert. The food exceeded my expectations. The service was a little bumpy. After a cocktail, my husband ordered a glass of wine, which didn't arrive until he had nearly finished his entree. Oh well. Music was very loud indoors. Wish I'd remembered a sweater so we could dine outside.

It was short ribs on a pastry shell, which was delicious but had at least twice the fat as meat. And the first time I had sat out on their patio. The brunch menu is not very large, but it has plenty of different options. I had the Salmon Crostini which was a perfect blend of breakfast and lunch. And the patio was so beautiful! I highly recommend it on nice days. Desserts are prepared fresh, not in advance, so it does take a little while but not too long. Portions were healthy sized, and the food was very tasty. Service was absolutely impeccable, never heard "Sorry we can't do that" one single time. For the bar, pours were EXTREMELY generous....like OVERLY generous. On top of that, they have some exotic and unusual selections. Absinthe for starters, and something I have never come across in an American restaurant: Fernet Branca. The menu is very diverse, lends itself to sharing with the whole table. We got the Vol-au-Vent, and loved it!! The Ahi appetizer, the bleu cheese fries, asian pear salad, all wonderful. Next time I want to try the Seared Ahi entree, or the salmon. The ambience is very inviting and fun.. Food coming out of the kitchen seemed to be a little on the slow side but in the end definitely worth the wait. Next time we'll try the outdoor patio, there were 2 larger groups inside which tremendously increased the noise level.
