Diner Reviews
  • "great atmosphere , nice selection on menu as well as featured entree's. One of our favorite romantic places for dining"

  • "Great table and our server helped make cocktail and food recommendations. Our party of 6 loved the ambience and quality . It made our short walk to the beach incredibly easy. Expensive but worth it!"

  • "Our annual July 4 dinner at Eden lovely as always. Attentive and friendly staff. Just right spacing between courses. Excellent peach and greens salad. Very good cheeseboard. Truffle infused honey a must try with the cheeses. Lobster and crab tower with generous amounts of both. Bacon wrapped turkey main dish not a big hit. Enjoyed everything in the sea air on the upstairs outdoor balcony."

  • "Eden is one of my favorite restaurants in Rehoboth. I recommend it to anyone. I crave the grilled Caesar salad often, and I am never disappointed in my drink or entre selection. it is not a perfect restaurant; there are dishes on the menu I likely will not order again (the tuna flatbread was a miss) but all in all, Eden is about as good as it gets. If you have a small party, ask to eat outside on the second floor deck."

  • "Nice atmosphere. Food choices were almost entirely excellent. Service was attentive but not intrusive."

  • "Boardwalk food is fine for lunch, but when it comes to dinner, my husband and I like to find "grown-up" food. Eden did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was superior! Sat at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail and had a nice discussion with the bartender about the wine list. Brandon, our server, was patient with us as we decided what to eat (I almost ordered the antelope but couldn't bring myself to be that adventurous!). He gave us great recommendations and great conversation (it wasn't a busy night)...overall, a wonderful experience."

  • "First, if in your reservation you write that it's someone's birthday (and say it to the waitress when you're ordering), someone at some point at the restaurant should at least say happy birthday. Also, we asked for a nice table not in a high traffic area. The hostess then walks us back to the booth right next to the kitchen. When we asked if we could have one of the booths along the wall, that were all empty, she said they were reserved. I wasn't aware that I had to reserve a booth ahead of time. This really upset my sister who was the birthday girl. The waitress didn't listen to my sister's drink order which also upset her. The food was okay but my antelope was undercooked. Even if the food were fantastic I wouldn't go back."

  • "Before dining at Eden, we read several of the reviews, a number of which were not flattering. Having been a patron of this restaurant since its beginnings on Rehoboth Avenue, I was surprised. Eden lived up to my past experiences. The lobster/crab tower appetizer and the ahi tuna entrée were both consistent with the quality of previous dining experiences."

  • "Excellent for small groups or just dinner for 2, knowledgable staff, everything we had was very good and well paired, good wine list. Mojitos are not their strong point. Every year we go back and it is always great, cozy and tasty. I can strongly recommend..."

  • "Came for a Big Birthday Celebration with friends. We were impressed with the wine list. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the grouper. Could have been more seasoned. Wait staff very attentive. Great bread. After we left we all were surprised that the birthday celebration was not acknowledged."

  • "Only two blocks from the boardwalk where pizza and fries dominate, I was pleasantly surprised that there was a first class restaurant designed for elegant dining. We had the tuna, roasted chicken and fish. The food was outstanding and the wine list robust. We would go back again."

  • "Overall, we had a relatively positive experience. I would absolutely avoid the filet mignon; there are far better menu options. The filet had very little flavor; the accompaniments (gnocchi and charbroiled carrots) did little to compliment the meal and were average-tasting at best. My wife had the grouper; combined with the risotto it was phenomenal. I would have traded everything on my plate for two bites of her fish. Again, overall a positive experience, it just depends on what you order. Service was good; wine list was amazing, even if they didn't have our desired wine chilled (the substitute was acceptable)."

  • "We come to Rehobeth almost every summer for a few days or week. We've been going to Eden on a pretty regular basis. Until this year we always looked forward to going there, never again. The food was simply just so-so, the service was okay and while before they tried to make you feel special, well no more. That's ok, there are plenty of other restos in Rehobeth & Bethany"

  • "We love to start the summer season with a great meal at Eden. From drinks to dessert our meal was terrific. The Tuna Poke appetizer melts in your mouth. We had the grouper and halibut for dinner. Both were cooked perfectly. Eden never disappoints. We look forward to more great meals at Eden in Rehoboth this summer."

  • "In a town of wonderful restaurants, Eden is truly the best! Everything is delicious-amazing flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautiful setting. The grouper was outstanding. The service is always top-notch. You will not regret eating at Eden!"

  • "I was concerned at first because one member of our party is Gluten Free. We were delighted to find out that many of the menu items are GF including the house made GF crackers served with the cheese plate! My son loved them! All of the food was delicious, the service was good and we were very happy."

  • "while the food tasted good, I expect more for the money. The Coipionni had a few pieces of shrimp, a small piece of fish, and a few clams. Definitely not the place to go if you are hungry."

  • "The service and ambience were outstanding. The food was good, in my case, but not great."

  • "As usual dinner was awesome, service incredible!! Always one of my favs, in Rehoboth!"

  • "The food at Eden is excellent. While the set menu is somewhat limited regarding the entries , the daily specials round out the selection nicely. The fish dishes are expertly prepared and the accompaniments complement the fish beautifully adding taste or complementing it. The flat breads make a great shareable appetizer and the deserts are delicious. As one would expect of a top restaurant, the service is professional and attentive without being intrusive. If you are going for a romantic occasion specifically ask for a booth with the curtains around it."

  • "Since the last time we went here, they redid the restaurant. Much more romantic and seems more private. Our waitress was very attentive as well. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were good."

  • "The food at Eden is always spectacular- delicious and creative. The crab tower and filet were the best I have ever had. The service also is fantastic and very attentive. Have a dinner at Eden to celebrate a special event"

  • "I was there on Saturday evening with a small party. We all really enjoyed the food and thought that the service was good. In fact, our server was very nice and had great suggestions for food and drinks. However, I was disappointed with the location of our table especially since we had a reservation. They placed us upstairs in a back corner booth that was very dark. In fact, the lighting over the table wasn't working at all for some reason. I don't believe that they had another good location to move us to since it was a busy Saturday night. "

  • "We sat for10-15 mins before being served then service was OK. Food ranged from fair to good. It seemed that one of the appetizers was not thoroughly defrosted before they heated it up. Seems like a hit or miss type of restaurant. Would not go back."

  • "We've eaten here many times and loved our food and the place, but this visit was disastrous. The steak I ordered medium rare came out uncooked, and when it was returned and cooked appropriately, it was dry and chewy. My friend's scallops were raw and my other friend's food was dried out, as if it had been cooked hours before and nuked. We used to go there every year during our annual outing to Rehoboth and we will never go again. What a shame. "

  • "The dining area seemed smokey; some of the food was pretty good; some was not. For the price, there are better places around."

  • "We went there to celebrate a birthday. The ambience was delightful with a great sense of privacy. And the food was definitely something to rave about. "

  • "My wife and I split 3 appetizers and salad. The wedge salad was good, but the three hot appetizers arrived at the same time. All three were at room temperature or cooler and had to be sent back. The veracruz shrimp was a total failure. The shrimp were definitely farm raised peeled and deveined that had no flavor and a rubbery texture. The Korean ribs were the highlight of the meal. very meaty and well seasoned. the Mongolian moussaka was a nice presentation but suffered by being cool, causing the bechamel sauce to have congealed. "

  • "Eden is always on point. Our server was new and had some hitches in his service style, however it was Memorial Day Weekend and you are going to find that all over Rehoboth. Many staff in different places were literally on their first day on the job. Crab beignets were amazing. We both had grouper which was great. Overall a very good experience. "

  • "We were seated immediately but waited 15 minutes for anyone to come by. No back servers to fill water or anything. When our server did eventually come by, she was so quick to leave after we gave our orders (which we had plenty of time to plan out prior to her arrival) we would be cut off mid sentence. Although pleasant enough, not one recommendation was made in regard to the menu. For the Shrimp Veracruz app, the shrimp itself was cooked/seasoned properly but dish just missed the mark. The jalapeño polenta was bland and I didn't see or taste one jalapeño in there. The Caesar was essentially an head of romaine cut in half and you had to cut up the entire salad yourself. The chicken entree was burnt and dry and missing the pea purée. "

  • "Elegant decor, professional service, great food and the ability to hold a conversation without straining. A great combination. Add a very good wine list, including a good selection by the glass and half bottles, and in my world you have winner! Eden is not for the budget diner, but for a special occasion or a great meal, it is on a par with big city establishments and hard to beat. I must single out our server, Colin. Young, friendly but very polished and very knowledgeable. Real professional servers who know and care about their art are rare. He is one of them. "

  • "My wife and I were in town for just one day and wanted to have a nice dinner. Eden fit the bill perfectly. We had a great cheese plate followed by the Wednesday special. John and Laura took great care of us from the minute we walked in. While this was an off season dinner the kitchen produced fresh and delicious meal for both of us."

  • "Our first time at Eden; excellent menu and ambience. We would definitely dine there again, and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality restaurant in Rehoboth Beach."

  • "What was a very nice evening was close to being excellent. Two at the table who started with cocktails, commented they were wonderful. We started our meal with a wonderful selection of cheeses. What kept it was the food kept slightly missing the mark. The seasoning on the scallops was too heavy, someone commented on their pork chops glaze was too sweet and another dinner thought the fish was a bit dry. We all felt our meals were good just needed a little fine tuning. Our server was attentive but not too much. Her wine suggestion was perfect. I think the final judgement to any experience is would you go back? In this case, yes we would."
