Diner Reviews
  • "The steaks were not cooked correctly. Potatoes tasted dry and old. Waitress didn't care to refill our waters after she was already tipped even though we left 30% tip. "

  • "First off, the view of the Plaza is terrific from this location. When we were seated, I was pleasantly surprised by the most plush outdoor booth seating cushions I've ever experienced. The service was outstanding (as one might expect), and the food was perfect. I brought my two high-school sons this time, not sure if they'd like it or not, and they said they loved it."

  • "I highly recommend the pimento cheese bites...OMG...My eyes rolled back in my head. And the dipping sauce added another level to them. We ate there for brunch and both had the pork breakfast burrito. Very tasty. The 6-layer lemon cake was so moist and was a wonderful ending to a really great brunch. The service was efficient and Demarcus did not hover but was there when needed. It was raining when we visited but there is a very open and inviting outdoor seating area that overlooks the new Sundance Plaza. We will definitely return to dine on the patio in the near future."

  • "We've eaten here about 6 times in the last 2 months; each time we've been very impressed with the staff. They are courteous, professional and focused; to ensure each table has a consistent dining experience. We go back to the restaurant for 2 reasons, the great service, primarily, and a couple of the menu items are exceptional. Check out the deviled eggs, the cheese steak egg rolls, and the shaved prime sandwich. Don't get carried away with some of the "exotic" menu items, and by all means DO NOT ORDER YOUR STEAK WELL DONE! or, it will come back crispy burned every time!"

  • "We have dined here many times but this was during the FW Main Street Arts Festival & it was as good as ever even with all the people downtown for the weekend. Our group of 4 had the lamb burger, flat bread, shrimp & grits & all were good. But the steak salad was initially served a little under cooked & was sent back & then served a little overcooked so be very specific about how you want the steak prepared. The coconut with white chocolate dessert was superb & big enough to satisfy all 4 of us. Jolene was our server for the first time on this visit & she was very knowledgeable about the beer selection & brought a couple of tastings for one of us & the rest of us shared a bottle of wine."

  • "For the most part, this is a very nice restaurant with a gem of a location and great vibe. I was disappointed on 2 occasions to find my entre' over-cooked. I had their "signature" sandwich, the Shaved Steak Sandwich which appeared to be a variation of a traditional French Dip. The meat was cooked well past well done. The 'au jus" was more like gravy, but was the only thing that made the sandwich edible. The accompanying frites were perfectly delicious. On my next time eating at this restaurant, I ordered the maple glazed pork chops served with incredibly delicious stone-ground grits. The pork chop was tough and dry. It could have benefitted from brining and a much shorter time on the grill. Still there is much to love here!"

  • "Best crabcakes I've had in a long time!! My friend and I each ordered a crab cake and we shared the Big Greens Salad! Perfect combination - with a couple of glasses of wine!! This time we sat upstairs which is totally delightful!"

  • "The arts festival was in town and we had no intentions at first of grabbing something to eat from a restaurant more so from smaller food vendors. Until we realized that Del Frisco's Grille was near us and it didn't take much to persuade us. We didn't arrive until after 10 and they were able to sit us very quickly, especially considering they were pretty busy. The food was delicious and the cocktails were even more delicious. I will and have recommended this place to others."

  • "In town to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we selected Del Frisco's grill for our special occasion. Simply put, the meal couldn't have been more disappointing. The service was responsive and professional when we complained about the quality of our food. We have dined at Del Frisco's and expected the same quality food (albeit a more casual menu at the grill)."

  • "I love the food and the atmosphere. I don't feel the appearance and the behavior of the bar and wait staff match the quality of the food and restaurant atmosphere. They have a Friday's/Chili's type staff at what should be a more upscale experience."

  • "Menu at restaurant different from online menu. I checked the menu & prices online & even printed it. My spouse & I wanted to stay within a budget. We selected our menu choices in advance. The menu presented to us at the table did not match the online menu. Our meal cost much more than what we were expecting. This was a big disappointment."

  • "We dined at this restaurant after enjoying Main Street Arts Festival. The atmosphere was impressive but we were disappointed in the food. We assumed that the steaks would be up to the standards of Del Frisco's Restaurant (which we love), but when our server brought the steaks, they were cooked rare and not medium as ordered. The lamb burger was just OK. I would love to return to this restaurant, but I hope they can bring their food up to Del Frisco's standards!"

  • "I've been there twice now and both times there was an extremely long wait for the food. I had to leave with my lunch to go so I wouldn't be gone from work for more than an hour and a half. I would be cautious making plans to meet anyone there for lunch because you may be embarrassed when your guests are delayed for too long."

  • "I love the atmosphere of this place- It was very romantic and the service was well-timed. It was my husband Birthday and I appreciate the birthday cake, but the food was not on a 5 star scale for the price. The Prime Rib was good, but the Orecchiette Pasta was horrible no flavor at all, waste of money."

  • "This is our 3rd time in the last few months and and as usual it is what you would expect. The original Del Frisco’s was good but turned in to a “steak factory” which was too crowded and made one feel as though they could not turn the tables as fast as they wanted. Del Frisco’s Grill is a little more laid back with the same really good food and service."

  • "Del Frisco's Grille in downtown Fort Worth has a great location on the square. Service was good with nice menu. We have eaten lunch and dinner at this location."

  • "We had dinner at Del Frisco's Grill for my husbands birthday. Everything was great as far as food, service and indoor seating. One things that disappointed for me was that we really wanted to sit outside but they did not take reservations for the patio it was a first come first serve basis. I was really hoping to enjoy the out doors for the evening."

  • "Took my husband for his birthday. Though the food was good the service/kitchen had some problems. Received our entres but had not yet been served our salads. Mentioned this to the server who shrugged and nodded toward the kitchen. Waited about 8-9 minutes before another server brought our salads and warm bread to us. Kitchen appeared to be having significant issues with keeping up with orders as I overheard the people in the booth behind us complaining too about not receiving their order (sounded like their food had taken a long time to be served to them.) Poor service not acceptable in a restaurant that is this highly rated."

  • "Chosen for its location close to Bass Hall but restaurant's position on northeast corner of Sundance Square makes this a destination in downtown Fort Worth for good, reliable dining by itself. The wait staff were very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. My friend and I shared a steak (no extra charge) cooked as requested. Very good! We purchased two extra sides: creamed kale and roasted asparagus that were delicious. Definitely would return!"

  • "...but that's not what they're trying to be. We went on a Friday evening and while busy it was not overly crowded. Service was average at best but the food was very good, My wife's filet was cooked exactly the way she likes it and I tried the chicken-fried rib-eye which was very good. We shared a slice of lemon cake for desert and it was only OK at best. They have a very interesting array of appetizers and we tied the deviled eggs for something different and they were very good. Next time we go we're already talking about just having two or three appetizers as our meal. We'll definitely go again but plan to sit outside on the patio on the newly completed Sundance Square."

  • "The lunch was good. We shared two appetizers the mahi tuna tacos and the crab cake. Not enough for two people to share but definitely good quality food. The tuna was just right! I liked the fried taco shell it gave it the crunch and a little flavor to the tuna. I dont know what happened with our service though. The waiter seemed to be in a rush when we got there coming around every couple of minutes, to see if we were ready yet and not really waiting for us to finish a sentence. Then when it got busy he forgot water and seemed to leave us alone to talk. Overall it was a good experience, I would go back and hey everyone has their bad days, no one is perfect."

  • "Del Frisco Grill is the little brother of Del Frisco Double Eagle. It's about 60% of the price of double Eagle but has a casual dining experience upstairs and down. Although the menu is not as complete, it has a nice variety of entees and wines"

  • "Love the atmosphere and food. Their drinks are fantastic. They were slow in getting us our food (which is not the norm from past visit) and without us saying anything they sent out free sides and dessert. High class service. My new favorite spot."

  • "A lunch hot spot, full of energy. This was my second visit for lunch. Try the guacamole if you like a little spice. The garlic shrimp flat bread was delicious. Food was reasonably priced for quality food and excellent service. Can't stop thinking about that Guacamole... I will go back."

  • "Salads were good but hey could not get the steak cooked properly. Ordererd medium - first try was raw in the middle and second try did not even have a trace of pink. They did acknowledge this and reversed the charge but not a good perfomance by a steak house."
