Diner Reviews
  • "Service was very good. Dinner was very good. Salad could have had more ingredients (seemed kind of plain for a la carte item) but it was fresh. Waiter was very attentive."

  • "We have always loved DC Pasta! They're homemade pasta is fresh and delicate and perfectly matched with the sauces. They're polenta is out of this world!! The salads are outstanding also, however, this last time they WWWWAAYYYY oversalted it. But that was unusual. The mussels and polenta apps were out of this world! Make sure you get extra bread to soak up the sauce!!! Can't miss here!"

  • "A group of us went out for a birthday dinner & wine. The wine was excellent as was our server Kurt. I would have put the food at very good but the linguine with clam sauce was a huge disappointment. It was cooked pasta with a few clams, lacked seasoning and there was zero sauce- for that I could have made that dish at home. Otherwise the food was very good. I was surprised that the owner or part owner "Johnny" was there seating customers in a dirty ill fitting polo shirt- he looked like he was a landscaper at the end of his day. Please for the sake of your customers come to work clean, and dressed properly. You will find a busier restaurant, we were there at 6:30 with a decent crowd but it became a very empty dinning room at 8:30."

  • "The choice in amount of pasta is much appreciated. Every restaurant should offer this option. The wine was good, too."

  • "A pasta lovers delight! To me pasta is "just okay"... I ordered a salmon filet served with pesto and eggplant. It was delicious! The three other family members in our party all ordered pasta and they all loved their choices. The is data is homemade. Walter, our server did a great job. We appreciated his quick wit and sense of humor. Ambiance is quaint. This was our first time dining at DC Pasta but it won't be our last."

  • "My husband & I had appetizers, salads, pasta entrees, dessert and wine and all of it was wonderful! The different size pasta offerings is one of my favorite things here, allows for so much variety without overeating or paying! Our server was attentive without being overbearing and the entire evening was very enjoyable."

  • "I had high hopes after reading the reviews for this restaurant. Loved the menu choices, but after trying 4 different entrees between us, we all agreed that their dishes simply aren't that flavorful. We've been to very similar restaurants who executed their menu better. I'm guessing it may have to do with the quality of their ingredients. I will say the apricot mustard was fabulous! However this was a one time visit for us."

  • "We liked being able to order three different portion sizes of pasta so we could sample a number of things of the menu. Great pasta "chew" and toppings. We were there nearly 3 hours. The atmosphere is casual but the food isn't...a good thing."

  • "My wife and I had a very nice meal. The homemade pasta was excellent. It was our first visit and not our last..."

  • "Been there twice and have been impressed each time service and food are great. I have already recommended this place to daily and friends, i would go back in a minute."

  • "We love this restaurant for it's changing seasonal menu and the opportunity to choose different sized portions."

  • "I did a search for a new restaurant and found this place. The feel and atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxing. I loved the tasting menu. In fact everyone in our group had the selections off of the tasting menu and we all shared our options. The Eggplant Croquettes were suggested by our server and were great. What a great experience. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try a few new things or someone that has a hard time making up their mind. Service was perfect we were not rushed in the least. Our server was not overpowering or over the top. He seemed to show up at just the right time."

  • "I've been to DC Pasta before and, as always, the food is delicious. You can order the pasta in three different sizes, so it's fun and easy to order tastes of many variations and share them around the table. Meatballs can also be ordered a la carte. The atmosphere is casual and the decor is clean and uncluttered. A good place to go for really good, reasonably priced fresh pasta. The server was abrupt and a little annoying, but it didn't ruin the experience."

  • "Food is consistently great, love the portion sizes to choose from. Waiters/waitresses friendly. Young ones clearing table are very attentive! My 80 year old Dad chooses this for every Friday night dinner!"

  • "The sample size portions are just right. The meatballs are delicious and a value. The meats, cheeses and olives are great to share. Very well done! Cudos to Dante!"

  • "The service and food were both incredible. I've had many different plates from DC, and never been remotely disappointed. The service sets the restaurant apart though. The wait staff is energetic and hard working, and the management is clearly very competent. The one and only con is the view- its of a bmv parking lot, dairy queen, and pearl road. That being said, the other factors more than make up for this and make this restaurant my favorite in Strongsville."

  • "Service was great, food okay. Despite it being homemade pasta the quality wasn't the greatest. Portions, however were large and two of us had enough for leftovers."

  • "Variety of Italian fare is excellent, also the variety of portion sizes is ideal. The food is very good from beginning to end and service is outstansing. If you go there ask for Curt to be your waiter. We have been there twice in the last month, have had diffent entrees each time and would go there again without batting an eye. Try the egg plant crocquette appetizer and the lamb meatballs."

  • "This was the second time my wife and I have been to DC Pasta. Both times the pasta and meatballs have been cooked properly and the service has been very friendly. If your looking for some great pasta and meatballs then DC Pasta is a must to try."

  • "Kinda hidden in a small business strip on Pearl rd is this great neighborhood gem. Authentic Italian food and a fabulous wine list. Most of the wines are under 30$ a bottle. I had the Bolognese sauce as my main dish and two tasting dishes of their other pastas. All were extraordinary. Highly recommend this restaurant. Very reasonable on the pricing too."

  • "We ate there this week and I loved it! I especially loved the ability to order 3different sizes of pasta. I ordered Tasting potions the cavatelli with fennel sausage, broccoli rabe, pecorino cheese and clams with white wine sauce. The clams pasta was OK, but nothing extraordinary. But the cavatelli was luscious! If I could have, I'd have picked up the bowl and drunk the remaining sauce. Next time I'll order that one again and try the carbonara that so many have raved about. The wine list is reasonable and it's great to have so many choices by the glass. We shared a tiramisu for dessert. Tasty and VERY rich! Can't imagine eating it by myself. The service was very attentive and our waiter was knowledgable and helpful. Will return!"

  • "The food and service were great. I wIll definitely visit again. I took my teachers to DC Pasta to celebrate the end of the school year and they were all pleasantly surprised and plan on visiting with their spouses."

  • "This is certainly in the "neighborhood gem" category. The food was very good. The plates were stylish, but odd. Every time I speared my salad with my fork, lettuce spilled over the side. Funny at first, but a little annoying later. My wife's fork kept sliding off her pasta bowl if she tried to rest it on the edge. I know, you're not supposed to "gang plank" utensils, but we all do. Here, nope: they slide and crash to the table. Just little niggles. Our waiter was ok, but seemed either bored with his job, or perhaps disinterested in us. No biggie. The salumi and cheese that we had were delicious. The pasta dishes that we had were eaten with vigor. And my pork tenderloin was excellent."

  • "My wife and I love DC Pasta. We discovered it a couple of years ago when we were dating and it's a perfect romantic spot. A date night staple, but it is a once in a while treat because the prices are steeper than other places nearby. Service is great. We've had the same waiter multiple times. We figure the employees must be treated well if the wait staff is low turnover. The menu isn't huge, but it is enough for most people to find something they will like. There are also nightly specials that add variety to an already strong lineup. If you want a great little Italian restaurant with authentic cuisine and a small, cozy feel that's classy to boot, DC Pasta is worth a visit."

  • "Another great OpenTable recommendation! This unique menu allows you to choose from several fresh pastas and sauces, in three different serving sizes - allowing you to mix and enjoy three "tasting" size preparations. You can also choose from five different meatballs, and there are delicious appetizers - we had frutti di mare. And, you can choose to start with selections of olives, charcuterie and cheeses. Desserts of chocolate mousse and gelato were also fantastic. Our waiter, Eric, helped us navigate the menu and wine list. Worth a short drive if you're flying into/out of CLE."

  • "This restaurant is quite a find. To begin, there is a huge array of olives, marinated veggies, meats and cheeses so you can build your own antipasto. Then there are other appetizers, salads, a set of pastas and sauces in three different sizes, and a small set of full entrees. For foodies who want to put together that perfect combination of antipasto and pasta, DC Pasta is fantastic. The wine list is very good, with a surprisingly large number of very good wines in the $20-35 range. Overall the food was fantastic and our server Walter did a great job. The only downside was that the food runners and busing staff need more training (sloppy cleaning of tables)."

  • "Started off poorly. We asked for a regular level table when seated at a high chair table and the request was refused. We were told this is reserved for groups of 4. When we left, three groups of two were seated in the tables we requested. Food was Ok. A $20 overcharge in the bill was noted and corrected after we brought it to the attention of the waitress. Finally, when these errors were presented to the manager, he did not even say sorry. Very poor all the way around."

  • "The pasta was homemade and very fresh. My wife loves the ravioli because it's fresh and stuffed with a lot of filling. Highly recommended dining spot."

  • "Knowing Chef Dante's pedigree and reputation, I fully expected the marvelous flavors of DC Pasta. But I didn't know he'd offer his wares at a "nice price", making fine dining affordable to those on a budget!"

  • "Yes, it's in what looks like a strip mall...don't let that throw you. The food here is as good as (if not better) than what you would get at a downtown hot spot. It's a great place to get scratch made, flavorful food fit for any foodie without leaving the suburbs. It's difficult to choose what to order, because it all looks so good! I would come with friends who like sharing, have everyone order something different, then go to town! The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. This is not your ordinary suburban restaurant, and that's a good thing!"

  • "We tried the salads and pasta this visit. We like how the food is always good no matter what we get. We've never had a bad meal there in our 6-8 visits."

  • "We've been here several times. This time we came with friends for their first visit. They menu is a little confusing at first but the food is very good. The staff is attentive. We were a little put off by the initial reception. Our group of four arrived on time for our 5:30 Saturday Open Table reservation for four and there seemed to be some confusion on where to put us. The place was empty at that point. They may have been overbooked,I don't know. Also you do feel a little crammed in there with the set up forcing the waiters to reach in front of you across the table to grab dishes. The manager was pacing around with a worried look most of the time we were there. I do like this restaurant but will make sure future visits are on weekdays."

  • "I would say this was great place to eat the menu was different . you could taste a lot different pastas in three size plates. I really enjoyed my diner, and I will go back."
    Dined on 5/3/2014
  • "The food, as usual, was very good. One of our party ordered the ravioli special, and it was wonderful. The only issue we have found here has been service. Appetizer plates and an empty wine glass were left on the table, almost until we left the restaurant. The waiter was very busy, so I believe it was one of the young ladies who was supposed to "bus" these items, but, although they came by for other things, they did not remove the used items. "

  • "Everything was excellent except for the noise level. One of our group has hearing aids and it was to noisy for them to be able to work well. Next time I would mention it when making a reservation. "

  • "Great find in an area without much "fine" dining. As other reviewers mentioned, decor is non-descript. Food however was excellent from the crab cake with citrus cream and arugula to the house made pastas. Flavor and presentation were both excellent. Decent wine list by both glass and bottle. Learned later this is owned by same folks that run Dante's. Service was a little slow but we hit the Saturday night rush and the host warned us when we were seated that the kitchen was busy. Will definitely return. "
