  • "All our dishes were very good. Wine list is a little pricey , but some varieties are reasonable."

  • "I have been to Cucina Venti several times for business lunches which offers wonderful, healthy, tasty choices in a timely manner. While searching for our date night dinner near Mountain View Cinemark theaters I remembered this gem. We had a hard time choosing off this huge menu, especially since the specials were hard to resist. My spinach salad with pears and grilled salmon, made me forget I was on a diet. My husband had the calzone which luckily I got to taste. The pizza crust is so thin and light, with amazing fillings. Great wine list and amazing pizza, pasta, salad, steak, chicken, risotto and gourmet choices. LOVED the cabernet sorbet and gelato choices. Can't wait for my next meal at Cucina Venti!"

  • "We love Cucina Venti. We like the atmosphere and the food is fabulous. Sometimes we ask to be served fast to get to the movie (Century 16) which is a block away. I had chicken piccata and my husband had pizza and we were in time for the opening of Noah."

  • "Tucked away in a strip mall right down the street from the History of the Computer Museum - this place rocks! Great food - from pizza to filet mignon - everything is done just right."

  • "pizza is really good - this is cuisine pizza - the closed pizzas have incredible thin crust and great insides. salads also are excelent. attentive staff - they remember you are going to a movie. Went on a monday so don't know how busy it gets."

  • "Have enjoyed meals here before, but not this time. We came in just for a glass of wine and a plate of pasta with my husband. Portion was so tiny I actually asked the waiter to bring more pasta - I've never done that before. And this was simply spaghetti with meat sauce. The waiter actually said to me he would "have to check". It was inexcusable. My husband's spicy sausage pasta dish was relatively bland and not nearly as good as their linguine Leonardo that is no longer on the menu."

  • "Right off the freeway and so easily accessible to our children who live in the North Bay. We were a party of nine for my husband's birthday with four children, three of whom are under five. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff was thoughtful and efficient. The menu is interesting and food is excellent. We live in Almaden Valley - we will make the drive back because it was so good!"

  • "I've been here before but decided to bring my Dad on the way back from a show in San Jose. My Dad is picky -- he wants good value AND good food. He was impressed with everything about this restaurant. He enjoyed the food and thought the restaurant had a "festive" look to it at night. I very much agree. Even though we have some fantastic choices at home in San Carlos, we won't hesitate to make the drive down to Cucina Venti for an excellent alternative."

  • "I've been going to this restaurant for 3 years and have never been disappointed. The food, wait staff and ambience are always top notch. When my iced tea glass was empty, a waiter took it away, saying he would refill it. When he didn't return, we just flagged another waiter and he immediately brought me another glass. The food is always very delicious. It is wide open so some noise travels, but amazingly, it is not that noisy. One can eat outside in front (small strip mall) or outside in back (on Shoreline near the movie theaters) but it is on the cozier side. When one of the wait staff was resting, the boss (?) came by and told him that there was always something to do. And the wait staff is always doing something."

  • "I selected this restaurant based on the good reviews on Open Table about the service. When we arrived, there were large parties waiting. After I checked in with the hostess, she just pointed to my table and instead of walking me to the table, we had to just get ourselves there. My husband seriously thought that I had just chosen a random table to sit at. Nobody came to offer us drinks or take the order. We had to flag down somebody. The drinks came but the bread never made it nor was it ever offered. And when we wanted a refill on our drink, we had to flag a waiter (again!). I was very disappointed with the service. The food was good but portions were on the small side."

  • "We went there because we wanted an Italian meal for Valentines day. We did not realize that there was a set meal (4 choices) for Valentines Day. It did not seem particularly Italian. Also, the meal was very expensive $60/person not including wine. The service was excellant but we ended up paying about $174.00, which was much too high for what we got."

  • "The food was great, but it took about 2 hours to show up. We didn't order for about 25 mins because the server never came back. Then the food took at least and hour and a half to come from the kitchen. They were both relatively simple pasta dishes."

  • "We live in the neighborhood and always enjoy eating here. They are attentive and the food is always tasty. We went with a table of 6 and found it all set up for us when we arrived, a very nice evening for all our guests."

  • "This was a great find with great food. I was looking for a plane for a group dinner of 10 not on Castro St in downtown MV. This was perfect and the service was great. My only issue is the parking, it's shared with other stores so was very limited and many in the group had to park several blocks away and walk."

  • "The atmosphere is warm and pleasant. The hot bread is always as good as we remember. The chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and veggies was real comfort food for a rainy night. They are busy even early evening so make a reservation. The daily menu always offers something interesting and different. Sea Bass salad was great. We keep returning."

  • "We were going to the theater next door, so we ate here for convenience. It was the best meal, that I have had in ages. Delicious and healthy. My friend agrees. We had the butternut squash soup, mango salad, and scallops with spinach and roasted potatoes. All perfect. I want to tell everyone about it, but unfortunately it is geographically undesirable for my friends. However it is across from Shoreline movie theaters, so it would be the perfect pre-movie dinner for others. What a treat!"

  • "We came here to get away from the downtown mountain view madness. It was a perfect spot with great food and friendly staff. They had live music that was great and not at all disruptive to dinner. Good spot"

  • "A little hard to find at night with a bit of a parking challenge... but worth it. Great service and interior very nicely done; comfortable. Outstanding appetizers and salads, entrees' need just a little work to be outstanding, although nice plates and ok flavor. Did not have the pizza but it looked and smelled great! Tiramisu for dessert was outstanding. All in all a very good experience. Will return !"

  • "I scheduled a work dinner at the restaurant and had never visited prior. What a great find! Very attentive wait staff, nice variety in Italian food options, and tasty food. The wait staff was very attentive to our large group and didn't rush along the dinner. The entrees were generous in portion and everyone enjoyed their varied choices. We did have a platter of cannollis (sp?) and tirramasu (sp?) which were a little dry. Wine selection had a lot of options and carried some great labels."

  • "After a very good meal on my initial visit to Cucina Venti, I was disappointed by the food on the second visit. The service and atmosphere were as good as the first time, but the food was very average this time. I guess that it depends on who is in the kitchen and how busy they are... The first time there were few people in the restaurant, this time quite busy."

  • "Very nice up-scale menu including both unique and traditional Italian dishes, quality ingredients, wonderful staff and service, and a very nice ambience and decor (despite its location). Will definitely be coming back. A little on the pricey side, but for the most part worth it (the short rib portion was a bit small for the price (but delicious!!!); the other dishes were more reasonable."

  • "Cucina Venti is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, but when I stepped inside the location no longer mattered. The service was prompt, the menu varied and interesting, and the food was very, very enjoyable. The variety of pasta dishes was appreciated by this diner, and the preparation was spot on! I enjoyed everything from the atmosphere. to the salad, to my entrée, to the wine. Service was attentive, prompt, and friendly. An overall great experience. Bravo!"

  • "With no visible sign identifying its location, Cucina Venti is truly a hidden gem. The ambiance was quaint and romantic, the service excellent and the food unbeatable!"

  • "We took my 86 year old mother and my three teenage children to Cucina Venti to celebrate my mother's birthday. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and attentive. The menu had something for all of us (and we have a lot of dietary restrictions). The Braised Shortribs with Polenta was one of the most delicious dishes we've ever had. The Sea Bass salad was delightful and innovatve. The calamari was perfectly cooked. The Chicken Marsala was excellent, savory and comforting. We loved the warm fragrant bread and the gelato and sorbet bar. The waiters brought out a wonderful tiramasu with a candle in it and all sang Happy Birthday, which made my Mom feel special. I lunch here often and love their innovation. Try this place!"

  • "Upon entering I thought it was rather weird. A quiet italian restaurant thats pretty decent. It was relatively empty and so the staff were too helpful in the beginning but then a large party showed up and they became preoccupied. Scallops + calamari + cesear salad was what we got. It was tasty."

  • "Wines on wine list no longer sold, typos on menu. Bartender and server had a weird exchange over the wine we ordered no longer being, sold. Couldn't get our check when done. Pretty good food, may deserve another shot."

  • "We chose Cucina Venti for my daughter's 12th birthday party before taking the girls to a movie at Century 16 across the way. What a great experience! The girls were commenting on how fancy the place was, and it truly is an elegant restaurant. The food was fantastic, especially my husband's pear and cheese pizza with drizzled honey! Yum! The staff was very accommodating and considerate and treated the girls with so much respect. I wish I could say it was completely reciprocated! It was a Sunday lunch time, so rather quiet. Great place for good food and a quiet place to talk. They also had football on a big screen so you could spend the weekend game watching there too. Thanks Cucina Venti!"

  • "A great place to eat before a concert at Shoreline. Enjoyed the pesto ravioli a great deal. The calamari appetizer was a bit disappointing. It was chewy and slightly greasy."

  • "Very nice warm, welcoming space in a small strip mall. I think our waitress was new, so there a few rough spots in the service, but she was very pleasant and trying to please. After a long wait the calamari came out seconds before the main course. My braised short ribs were excellent, but my son's penne was clumsily spiced with a huge overdose of red pepper. ( and I like spicy food). My wife's seafood ravioli was tasty if a bit bland. Excellent Tiramisu and a well made espresso for dessert. Overall this will be a nice addition to our everyday Italian restaurant rotation."

  • "Cucina Venti is wedged in a non-descript little strip mall. Who knew it was such an excellent restaurant? We went there because the location was convenient to where we were going after dinner; I didn't expect much In fact, I had one of the best Italian meals of my life -- the mushroom ravioli was exquisite. My husband had lasagna, which he said was excellent. Garlic bread appetizer was also quite good. Desserts: tiramisu lady fingers were well soaked, and the custard between the layers was delicious. Sorbet was also wonderful -- with bits of fruit in it! The restaurant is a little noisy, to be expected from a busy restaurant. Service was good, too -- we were in kind of a hurry, and they really made it work. We'll be back!"

  • "We are from San Carlos and prefer this restaurant to any of our downtown restaurants. Food and service are exceptional. Price is very reasonable as well. I had prawns with mushrooms and asparagus tips linguine with a lemon butter sauce. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Price was $15.95. A dish like this in a San Carlos restaurant would be $27.00 easy. We will be back!"
