  • "Great place for both indoor and outdoor dining. Great selection of wine and servers have great suggestions on their wine selection!"

  • "Consistently good food, imaginative, and lots of options for vegetarians. The staff is always friendly, and willing to accommodate seating requests, etc. and you never feel rushed. Looking forward to the new Cucina Enoteca at Fashion Island, as the Spectrum is extremely inconvenient for parking, and often overcrowded."

  • "Great food, great service, great ambience. Wonderful dinner!"

  • "Was nervous to take my New York/world traveler cousin to lunch in the O.C. Enoteca did the trick. This menu is way above average w/ lots of variety. Everything we ordered was a 10, unanimously. And our waiter was a gem. Great place. We will be going back again and again."

  • "Our second visit to Cucina Enoteca - excellent restaurant."

  • "We're fans of Cucina Urbana in San Diego, so we were looking forward to trying their new restaurant. I don't know if our experience was typical, but Cucina Enoteca did not give us the experience we expected. It seems that the Cucina Urban concept may not be scalable to the much larger Cucina Enoteca restaurant. Hopefully they'll be able to work out the details."

  • "I was meeting some friends for lunch on Sunday and one of them suggested this restaurant. I had the wheatberry and kale salad with some hearts of palm, pearl onions and a pesto sauce. It was heavenly! I have never had such a tasty salad like that. I also had a cup of their tomato soup and it was delicious with some vegetables in it - not overly heavy on cream and just the right amount of spice. My friend had the eggs benedict and she ate the entire meal so it must have been good! My other friend ordered a pizza and she was only able to eat half of it. If you order the pizza it is fairly large for one person. They have a wide variety of wines, interesting ones, and champagnes inside. Service was exceptional and friendly. Will be returning!"

  • "Really good food. Everyone at our table loved their food. Great service"

  • "They changed their menu. I am still in love with their Meatball Mozzarella Bufala Pizza! I wish they would bring that back! Everything is wonderful on their menu though. =)"

  • "Quality food and endless options for wines. Highly recommended. Too bad it is in a shopping mall...environment is not that nice."

  • "Great service and very nice menu. Not too many vegetarian options, but had no trouble finding something delish. Wine list is very nice and reasonable. Wine store is in the restaurant (or maybe the restaurant is in the wine store!) and you can buy your bottle of wine at Total Wine or Bevmo prices and have it with your dinner ($8 corkage fee except Sundays ... free!). Very fun bar scene -- lots of room. A little loud because of the hard surfaces (concrete floors), but very tolerable and super attentive staff who brought us two free appetizers (squash blossoms and Caesar salad awesome)."

  • "The service was poor because of the waiter. Other waiters around us were so great and inviting. The food was very god. Not amazing, but it was what you would want when going out to a restaurant. Not major complaints. Ambiance great!"

  • "Located across from Regal Edwards Theater in the Irvine Spectrum makes Cucina Enoteca a very convenient spot to combine dinner and movie or just a delicious meal. We tried this place for the 1st time for Orange County Restaurant Week and each menu selection was superb, from Kale soup & octopus starters to desserts. We definitely will return."

  • "Tasty food. Good Restaurant Week menu. First time I've not felt we got good service. Too many tables per server? I don know. Host stand was well staffed, and super controlling about where reservations could sit. Not to worry, we'll be back!"

  • "This is a restaurant and wine bar with a unique menu. Don't think I've ever seen "stuffed squash blossoms" on a menu and that was among the very unusual and creative choices for a lunch antipasto on my first visit. I ordered the mussels and they were superb as well. I think the pizzas, pastas, & salads are unusual too. When reading the menu, some of the ingredients sound familiar, but the preparation & presentation are very different. For example, I ordered cold shrimp/octupus w/crackers on my second visit and the seafood was in a tasty tomato sauce served w/pistachio crackers. That was followed with a beet salad with no greens, but it had a healthy portion of red & yellow beets & avacado. So tasty it's hard to describe."

  • "web-searching for a nice place to celebrate my wife's 60th b'day while we were in Irvine. Took a shot here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was first rate and our server, Jacquie (sp?) could not have been better. Absolutely concerned that our dining experience met our expectations, but it never felt like she was "too much"... you know what I mean. Grilled octopus appetizer, farmer's chopped greens salad, short rib pappardelle, spicy shrimp putenesca/angel hair pasta were, very simply, EXCELLENT! Honestly, we will go back just to have the short rib pappardelle. I had mentioned to our server that it was my wife's 60th and she had the kitchen prepare a special dessert for my wife, no charge, no fanfare, just really nice. Love this place"

  • "Everything is great about this restaurant but the food. The menu is not for everyone's palate and unfortunately there are no standard classics on the menu. I was there for lunch on a weekday from 11:30 - 2 and the place never filled up; every restaurant in the Spectrum is ALWAYS packed. It is a shame because the patio is fantastic. This was my second visit to Enoteca but I will not go again."

  • "Last minute selection on Open Table, but was not impressed with the food that night. It was one of my wifes favorite restuarants or at least I though, but when we got there and were seated I found out that they no longer served her favorite salad. There were a lot more families eating there as well, so the noise level was high. Overall experience was ok."

  • "This restaurant standard has gone down. Made ands confirmed reservation for 4 people . Arrived on time and waited for 15min. Brought to table with two settings. Requested numerous times for two other dinnerware. Finally waiters brought over when food is served. Monday night not busy but can never get waiter attention for any service. Food was extremely salty and spicy. Do not order clam linguine unless you like sour salty spicy hot white wine sauce."

  • "I've been here before & suggested it to friends who had just moved down from LA & everyone was impressed. Food was great although we ordered too much! Started w/ mushroom pizza, so yummy, next family size chopped salad which was huge! My friends ordered the short rib pasta & butternut squash pasta, I had the roasted cauliflower pasta w/ a side of their Brussels sprouts. Everything was fabulous & we all had enough for lunch the next day."

  • "Love all your restaurants. Our dealership is in Mission Valley and we live in La Jolla so we lunch and both and dine at CE. The impulse buy items on the way out are fabulous. Don't change a thing! Word is getting around and you have a winner on your hands."

  • "We had a delicious meal, loved the pizza and the short rib pappardelle, always a favorite restaurant we come to and they never disappoint, great atmosphere as well."

  • "You got to try the short rib pappardelle! chicken fennel sausage pizza is very good too. Only one criticism is we ordered the octopus appetizer and in a couple of minutes the plate got brought out ... not sure if it was left over from someone's previous order or it was precooked .... we could tell the octopus was cold ... The waitress recommended Bruliam pinot noir bottle but no sampling ... Otherwise, we would love to try and support the proceed to a great cause ..."

  • "Excellent food and service, with a phenomenal wine list. It was the ideal place for three old friends and business colleagues to get together and spend a few good moments to catch up - it also a great place for dinner after or before a late night movie. I really like the bruschetta - it among the three best bruschettas I have had in my life."

  • "There is always great food here. The polenta with the ragu for lunch special is fabulous value. Ask what their ragu is for the day. That presentation for the polenta board is cool, too. Everything taste great. We can't help ourselves by always starting with an order of truffle fries."

  • "The 2 managers were very attentive, we had a nice waiter, but he seemed to have been less attentive to our party. Dinner entrees arrived sooner than the table bread, took about 20 min to get 2nd rounds of drinks. Kind of a bummer, we went there for a bday celebration and didn't feel very "special", informed the manager, and she comp a portion of our meal."

  • "This was not teal Italian food. They claimed their pizza was like pizza from Naples, but they must not have meant Naples, Italy! Great seevice and friendly staff."
    Dined on 1/20/2014
  • "I'd heard mostly good things about the place but something about the location at Spectrum put us off trying the place for months. The wife and I brought my mom for what looked to be an amazing brunch and we're so incredibly glad that we did! Everything was amazing from the initial greeting, drink ordering, presentation and taste of the food. We'll certainly be going back again and my only regret is not having gone sooner."

  • "The restaurant is welcoming, our group chose a table outside. The lighting was terrible I had to use my phone just to see the menu. The table was very small. Our waitress was impatient and would trample through and over the beautiful landscape. She also seemed upset that we did not order wine and from that point on we were given lousy service. The food was so-so nothing spectacular. Overall my experience at Cucina was poor."
