A word from Croissants Bistro and Bakery
As a child Croissants' Owner, Heidi Vukov, spent hours in her grandmother's kitchen in Germany, where European bakeries inspired her love for cooking. Since 1991, many loyal patrons have enjoyed Croissants' truly unique creations here in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

It is with great pride that Heidi now introduces this area's first low country Bistro, a lively nighttime version of Croissants...featuring innovative comfort food, perfectly matched wine list, a "Euro-cool" gathering place and prices you'll appreciate as much as the food! Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Food was outstanding! Service was impecable. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I ordered the short ribs with risotto. The rib was served tender and the risotto was flavorful. My husband had the pork tenderloin with fingerling potatoes. He asked for the pork to be well done and it was cooked perfectly. Even though it was well done, it was juicy and flavorful. We ordered dessert to go-chocolate moose cake. The table next to us complained about their meal taking too long to prepare. I had to lean over and remind them that good food, prepared from scratch, takes time to prepare. We will be back to enjoy the great food on another night and to try the specials. We found out about them after we ordered."

  • "Not your run of the mill food. Lots of flavor. Food is made to order and dishes are hot when served. Perfect."

  • "Who knew such a gem of a restaurant could be just a short drive from the hub-bub of the boardwalk area in Myrtle Beach? Everything about our dining experience was excellent: the food, the wine list and our waiter, Cameron. The menu is creative and thoughtful in its French inspired offerings and will suit the seafood lover and the meat eater alike. There are even vegetarian options. The flounder is a house specialty and is my new favorite. My husband is a pure meat and potatoes guy who eats to live - but exclaimed that his pork tenderloin was the best he ever had - a true compliment! Be sure to leave some room for dessert from the bakery items you can view upon entering. I would head back to Myrtle Beach anytime to have dinner here."

  • "My wife and I had an early dinner reservation for 6 PM. She was looking forward to having the sea scallops. Our waiter mentioned several other dishes as being outstanding. When he came to take our order he noticed my wife pointing to the sea scallops and said if your thinking of having the scallops we're out of them. It would have been better if he had pointed this out up front rather than trying to steer us to other options. So we punted and tried the tuna which was good. However, running out of a regular menu item 1 hour after they started serving dinner, in the off season and without telling us until forced to, turned us off from returning. In the future, we will stick to the Brentwood Restaurant in Little River for our French food."

  • "If you are from Myrtle Beach, you MIGHT know of Croissants Bistro and Bakery. If you are from out of town, you wouldn't think from the outside that it is as special as it on the inside. The staff greets you appropriately. The cakes are right in front of you to taunt your sweet tooth. This is a specialty bakery, without a doubt, with a full bar and lovely menu. We went for Brunch and thank goodness we made a reservation. I would recommend this for dinner, also. I can only guess about lunch. The brunch menu is extensive and everything we ordered (minus the shrimp and grits, which needs a more traditional seasoning) was fantastic. There is a "build your own Bloody Mary" bar. We found this fun. Just go, you will be pleased!"

  • "The food is very good but to put an ounce of short rib on your plate and charge you $25 is a little over the top.I won't be going back."

  • "We had a good brunch, and even got some pastries to go for breakfast the next day. Surprisingly there were few options for me as a vegetarian, but my carnivore husband was very pleased. I usually don't have much problem finding breakfast items, but being from Austin perhaps we are more vegetarian-friendly than Myrtle Beach. The cupcake with the little shell on it was fabulous and stunning to look at."

  • "Disappointed in she crab soup- and nothing special about the chicken salad. Wish I had made a different menu choice - lots of good looking things to try. Desserts looked awesome - should have had that first! Kind of noisy - atmosphere - so- so. Best thing was great menu - need to try some other things. Service - very good."

  • "We have dined several times at this restaurant and the food is very good. However, I was disappointed in the Ruben sandwich."

  • "Oh my, the desserts are reason enough to go here...get the sampler where you get to try 3 different desserts, the portions are still huge. They were out of a lot of appetizers which was a little disappointing since it was valentines weekend..shoulda been prepared. Pretty tight seating too, but totally worth it for the desserts."

  • "Stopped in before flying away...seemed like the best choice of interesting (generally southern) food, at decent prices. The shrimp and grits with friend green tomatoes were very good. Our waiter was very attentive, and very funny! He had a good energy. :)"

  • "This place was excellent. We went Friday night and liked it so much we went back for brunch on Sunday. The dinner and brunch were both amazing. My wife and I have very different taste in food and restaurants, however we both loved Croissants Bistro."

  • "We went for Sunday brunch. Food was delicious. I had the banana foster French toast...super yummy?"

  • "Service was great. Ambience ok. For a croissant place, expected croissant to be moist and buttery. It was on the dry sude, as was the chicken salad, which was mediocre at best."

  • "Loved our meals .. again .. we were told about Croissants by a friend and visit it every time we are in the Myrtle area. Our waiter, Cameron, was outstanding .. attentive, friendly and funny! Food was prepared beautifully and the desserts are amazing!"

Wish Grand Strand had more quality restaurants like Croissants!!"

  • "Went with a group of friends and everyone had only positive things to say about their experience. Limited menue for restaurant week offerings, but adequate. Tough decision was what desert to have, as all of them looked great"

  • "My husband & I were in Myrtle Beach for Restaurant Week, and this was our last stop on the way out. The food was great, and the Bloody Mary bar was superb! We will definitely return."

  • "Had the pleasure of dinning at this wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent and they were very accomidating of our 22 month old son. (though I think this is a little to intimate for Little children). The wine list was ample and appeared to be of very good quality. The deserts were the crowning achievement with a large selection of baked goods. All in all an excellent place to spend a Friday night!"

  • "This bistro is the best kept secret in Myrtle Beach. It is cozy with a warm ambience, yet the food and service are the "wow" of the restaurant. The crabball with special sauce appetizer had us yelling for more while the duck and pork tenderloin entrees were moist and flavorful. One of our party members had the filet with glazed carrots and said it was the best filet he's had in years!!! Two of us had the recommended wines by our server,he hit the taste spot on as well as being so attentive and friendly! Of course you never leave this restaurant without ordering the best dessert on the Grand Strand. Me, I go for the Carrot Cake.! It is to die for!. The guys went for the Key Lime Pie which they inhaled in 2 bites! This bistro is the best!"

  • "The seating was very tight and it was sectioned by curtains, which we thought was odd. The food was a bit pricey and was not even memorable. The waiter was very friendly and was trying to sell us the moon. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant."

  • "Overall experience was very good. Had dinner here on New Years Eve. It was a price fixed menu and there were no substitutions (we actually have some picky eaters).. The food that I had was excellent, the veal breast, the beet salad and pork loin. The lobster bisque was extremely salty and not everyone could eat it. Some of the vegetables were extremely salty and no bread was served with dinner!! I would go there again."

  • "We found this gem through Open Table & based on the positive reviews of "where the locals eat", we made our reservation. First time visiting Myrtle Beach. First time at Croissants. It was a very pleasurable & romantic dining experience. I am a former chef, pastry chef, & chocolatier, so I can be extremely "fussy" when I go out to eat with my girlfriend. Needless to say, we both had an excellent meal & do plan to go back for Valentines Day. Pssst.....try a few of the pistachio macaroons on your way home! We snuck ours into the Carolina Opry for a nice intermission snack. Also, I highly recommend the "Truffle frites" appetizer. Served with a truffle aioli, they were heavenly."

  • "What a delightful and delicious dinner we had here. We started with the goat cheese appetizer which was excellent. Our entrees were appealing to the eye and palate. My husband had the crab cake appetizer converted into an entree. The kitchen had no problem with this accommodation. I had the cherry duck. Both dinners were thoroughly enjoyed."

  • "We were in MB for the weekend. My sister and I had Saturday lunch here and it was so wonderful! We had a toddler with us and the staff was very accommodating. I even picked up a few Christmas presents from the bakery. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there that night and it was so good! Our waitress went out of her way to make it a romantic dinner. The flounder was some of the best I have ever had. The Shrimp and grits were very good, not traditional. It was more of a "deconstructed" version. Dessert was delicious! Will come back on our next visit!"

  • "The food was superb and very attractively presented; prices were moderate, and drink sizes were generous. We will definitely be back for more!"

  • "Being unfamiliar with the area, we found this restaurant through Open Table and what a treat! In a town filled with chain restaurants, it is great to find a local gem. Our host, Tre was warm and welcoming and our waiter, Mike, was fabulous. We took all of his suggestions and were not disappointed. The crab beignets, flounder & grits and shrimp & grits were delicious. The grits were unlike anything we had before and were even better the next day! Our meal was made complete by the triple chocolate mousse, incredible! Mike also explained the history of this nearly 20 year business, how it began as a bakery and extended into lunch and dinner with an emphasis on low country cuisine."

  • "My wife and I made our second trip to Croissants after several days of a conference in North Myrtle Beach and were not disappointed. We had been the guests of a friend this past summer for dinner here and enjoyed it immensely. Our second trip did not disappoint. Perfect for a relaxed, quiet meal for two. We each had a different special for the night and shared one of their made daily deserts. Nice alternative to seafood buffets and other chains in Myrtle Beach."

  • "We stumbled upon this lovely little spot a couple of years ago and make a point to eat there every trip back to MB. The food is top notch. I always feel like I'm eating in a small bistro in a major city. The menu is stellar...not typical MB fare. I would highly recommend. The service was fantastic."
