Diner Reviews
  • "My wife and I have dined at the Mall of America restaurant three times in the last month. We have been pleased each time we were there. The service is always the best. They go out of their way to assure we have a great dining experience. We have enjoyed everything from appetizers to steaks and have not been dissappointed. Thank you."

  • "Plenty of other choices, but the sushi is a homerun."

  • "The atmosphere was "energetic" as you refer to the noise level but it was a little too noisy for a normal conversation. Your other Crave restaurants are better suited for personal experiences."

  • "There are a lot of choices for a large group. We went for the Sushi, but we have about 2 people in our group who don't like sushi. It was perfect for those picky eaters!! :)"

  • "We have been to .crVe for special occasions the last few years, and went there Fri night for hubby's 60th birthday. We were very disappointed I. Quality of food, disorganized service, and pricing to quality. Sorry Crave, you blew it. No more special dinners there."

  • "I have no complaints what so ever. Everything was great!!"

  • "This was my first time at Crave, and my son's second. We had a wonderful meal and our server brought out a very delicious piece of birthday cake with a lit candle. Very nice! Our food was very good - my son had sushi and was very pleased. Thanks Crave for helping make it a special day!"

  • "We had a great business dinner. Location was in the Mall of America. Was skeptical in choosing but was glad I did. Noise was minimal. Food was fantastic. Heather was our server. She was great. Total gem. Cannot wait to return."

  • "Called ahead to make sure the Mall of America location can accommodate our large party (19). They said "Yes, but we'll have to add a 20% service cause of the short notice". We reached the restaurant, and it's only us, so we really didn't understand the "accommodate" part. First time at this CRAVE location. The portions at this location were 70% of that in other locations. Service was a mess; we were a party of 10 adults + 8 kids, first of all confusion with orders, extremely slow service (it took them 1 hour 45 minutes to get all orders on the table), then to end it up, it took 45 minutes to get 4 checks straight. Really disappointed. If I weren't in a hurry, I would have requested meeting the manager and I wouldn't have tipped at all."

  • "We had awesome service ~ our waitress was helpful, friendly and attentive. The manager made a point of coming to all the tables to make sure everything was OK. The food was very good. The pumpkin ravoli was so flavorful and my husband loved his pasta dish with chicken and mushrooms. The dirty flirty martini was also wonderful!! Would definitely go again."

  • "My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatball was good, but canned sauce is better"

  • "the Sea Bass is the BEST!!! My Favorite place at MOA!!"

  • "I REALLY like the concept they have of bringing platters of food to your table, rather than having to get up and go to a buffet. That way, you can carry on a conversation without people jumping up at various times to go refill at the buffet. We arrived right at 11 am, which was opening and yet our server was very slow in coming by every time. We asked for coffee right away, which i expect to be something they anticipate at a brunch, and yet, they seemed to act like it was a special order and it took 10 minutes or more. Then it took a very long time to come around and take our order. When we got our platters, they forgot a serving spoon and it took 10 more minutes to get that. Also, we had to ask for coffee refills. They never offered."

  • "My visit to your establishment was pretty good. But that's just it, I was waiting to be wowed or even maybe a more personal experience. The food was good and the prices weren't unreasonable. Your staff we're nice and helpful."

  • "Crave is fun, and the food is good, but not great. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. The sliders were good. One complaint is that when we ordered salmon and tuna sashimi, and the tuna arrived lightly seared (and unfortunately also pretty tasteless). Sashimi is generally served raw, and there was no mention that it would be seared. We found the sushi to be okay, but not great. The combinations and special rolls sound sublime, but don't quite hit the mark."

  • "We were placed in their "patio" in the Mall of America overlooking the rides. It was bright and open and just right for our dinner vs the inside, which has a darker ambiance. The food was great! I thought the menu was creative while still having ingredients I recognized."

  • "We were seated by the open kitchen and enjoyed the energy in the restaurant. The food was not the best for the prices. I had scallops and my husband had the grilled mahi mahi. Both were not very good. The couscous that accompanied both dishes was luke warm/cold and just was not a very good side."

  • "We went to celebrate my daughters 19th birthday, I called the day before to request a candle in a slice of cake to be brought out after dinner and the lady I talked to said sure no problem. They didn't do it. I ended up asking for a slice of cake from the server told her it' was a birthday and still no candle. Not happy about that. I don't know what more I could have done?"

  • "I had a reservation for a group of 10 on a lunch break from a conference. The table was ready and orders taken promptly. The service was excellent. My only complaint was it took a long time to get our food. The tables around us were served and finished before we got our food. Our waiter was great and got our checks right away so we could eat and run."

  • "The food was great. Also gets very busy so I suggest making a reservation in advance. The pizzas are very good but very big so share with someone. Very good I would deffinately come back"

  • "We meet for happy hour and dinner. Ordered a bunch of happy hour items. Everything was priced great. Service was good. The server seemed a little busy and it took a long time to get our check. But the overall atmosphere was super fun and lots of energy. I will go back."

  • "It's big, food is great, especially sushi, but it's packed, and can see why! Don't go here for a romantic dinner, but group dinner would be fine, and most excellent actually, lot of good food choices"

  • "We often stop here when we are at them all and just eat at the bar. Service at the bar is a hit or miss, but we always have great food. There is always a pretty good selection of beer on tap, with various seasonal options. Wine list doesn't change too often."

  • "In on business, I was a bit hard pressed to find a place for a casual business meet up. Based on reviews, this looked like a good option, and walkable from my hotel. We booked the reservation and only then was I told the map was wrong and the restaurant actually was inside the Mall of America. Out of towners, take note. Service was great, the waiter extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, giving many recommendations. The food was good: I have walleye at least once whenever I'm in MN, and though it was fine, it wasn't necessarily the best I've had. Food came out quickly, and we had a great time. My one issue, and there's nothing that can really be done, is that noise levels from the mall could be a bit distracting."

  • "The food was amazing and our server was so friendly and attentive. A positive dining experience. Only complaint would be the noise level making it hard to hear."

  • "Everything we ordered was good (hummus appetizer plate, sushi, mozzarella and tomato salad, kids mac and cheese (which was not bright orange!). Had a couple of well done cocktails and really enjoyed sitting and eating a good meal after all of the rides and shopping. Great place to go to unwind and enjoy the food!"

  • "Crave is one of our favorite restaurants in St. Paul. My wife loves the Bamboo Bites and doesn't move away from them. I've tried several items on the menu and have not been disappointed. Very good food, reasonable prices, and good service."

  • "Once again, everything we had a Crave was wonderful. Just wish they had a more extensive wine by the glass list."

  • "This restaurant is fast becoming the place for my wife and I to eat while visiting the Mall of America. From the moment we walk in the service is great! We made a reservation through OpenTable, which was fast, easy and convenient to use. The food and drinks are always the best & we haven't been disappointed yet. I encourage anyone who wishes to eat at the restaurant to make a reservation through OpenTable to make sure there's no waiting."

  • "As always, Crave didn't disappoint. We head several of our favorite sushi rolls, the godzilla, and we each had a Crave house salad which is always good. Good wine and good company made for a great evening. Service was professional and attentive."

  • "Cheerful greeting upon arrival and prompt seating with my OpenTable reservation. Kelly, our server, was excellent. She was attentive but not invasive as well as knowledgeable about the wines and ASKED what we like then made a solid recommendation rather than TELL us all about too many options. Ugh, never like that. My Crave burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had!!! Done exactly as specified and the salmon for my date was delicious and the perfect portion. It didn't hurt that my date was an absolutely lovely lady but Crave did it right and that's not always easy on a Saturday night but is something you hope for on a 1st date. Way to go Crave!! WE'LL BE BACK."

  • "Brunch at Crave was great. The food was hot, tasted good and was served family style so you could choose what amount of each tasty offering you wanted. We had a great time, enjoyed the included mimosas and would happily go back again."

  • "Sushi was great, our dinners were ok. Nothing special, kind of like Applebee's. Took a long time to get drinks, refills on drinks, food and the bill. I expected better."

  • "I'm so glad crave is in the MOA. It is a great spot to go have some lunch and a glass of wine when you find you have to be in that crowded stressful mall on a weekend. I always ask to be seated in their primary space rather than out on their "patio" which is right near the roller coaster and lots of stress. Food is consistent high crave quality. We did sit for a while without water or wine after ordering it due to a busy saturday and full restaurant. We'll still be back as this experience is miles above going to the food court area to eat."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "The menu looks amazing but the food is only ok. The have all of the high end ingredients, but it is not as tasty as it should be. We had 6 people at our table and not one of us was impressed ."

  • "We made reservations for lunch on our Saturday girls day out @ MOA. Our table was ready immediately. Yay! Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was very knowledgeable about the menu. A couple of us have food some intolerance so we were thrilled to learn you have a gluten free menu. Everything we sampled was presented beautifully. The selection on the menu had it difficult to decide what to order, but what a problem to have. :) We were all pleased with our meals. A couple of us enjoyed cocktails. I had your pomegranate martini, wonderful! and my friend had the fig sidecar, (which you don't see often). We will definitely return, maybe we will even bring out husbands with us next time!"

  • "We were just two girls having a nice lunch at the Mall. Everything about our experience was great, although I would have preferred a booth table instead of a small table for two. Other than that, our waiter was excellent and so was the food. The personnel checked with us every so often and attended to our every need."

  • "He spent way too much time making conversation with us. My friend and I agreed to try not to make eye contact with him and just be about business when he came by lest he start yammering at us. Annoying."
